Divine Level Witch Doctor

One look, and he was instantly thrilled.

He could clearly see a mass of black mist churning in the man’s stomach.

”I see it! I really see it!” Zhao Yuan almost shouted in excitement. ”This black mist has to be Evil Qi!”

This Evil Qi wasn’t something from ghosts or demons, but a general term in Traditional Chinese Medicine for pathogenic factors.

Zhao Yuan was just a novice with the Qi Observation Technique, and the Wish Power in his body was limited. Because of this, the miraculous Medical Skill was still at its lowest level for now. He couldn’t see the changes in Yin Yang Qi or perceive the fluctuations of the Five Elements. He could only get a rough, imprecise idea of where the illness was located.

But even so, Zhao Yuan was thrilled.

Who else in the modern medical world could tell, with a single glance, roughly where someone was sick?

This Medical Skill wasn’t just a miraculous form of Observation; it was the ultimate tool for showing off! ’Once my Wish Power increases and I level up my Qi Observation Technique enough to see the Yin Yang Five Elements and precise lesions,’ he thought, ’I’ll be a walking X-ray machine combined with a full suite of diagnostic equipment!’

’Damn, this is totally overpowered!’

After a few deep breaths, Zhao Yuan finally managed to calm himself down a bit. He wanted to verify if what his Qi Observation Technique had revealed was accurate. He turned to the man who had given up his seat for him and asked, ”Excuse me, man, is your stomach bothering you?”

”Huh?” The man started, his expression a mask of pure astonishment. ”How did you know? I’ve had chronic stomach problems for years.”

’It’s really accurate!’ Zhao Yuan suppressed his excitement and turned to the young woman who had given him water. ”Do you have a problem with your lungs?”

”My lungs?” The young woman paused. ”I don’t know if there’s a problem with my lungs, but I have been coughing a lot the past couple of days. I took some cold medicine, but it hasn’t helped.”

”You should go to a hospital and get it checked out,” Zhao Yuan advised. ”This isn’t a common cold. It’s very likely pneumonia.”

”For real?” The young woman was skeptical.

”You’ll know if it’s real or not once you go to the hospital,” Zhao Yuan said, turning his gaze toward the other people in the car.

After observing for a bit, he discovered that not everyone had Evil Qi. Those without it were perfectly healthy. As for those who did have it, he questioned them one by one. The answers he received were almost a perfect match for what his Qi Observation Technique had shown him.

”Young man, how did you know I have a bad heart?” an old man asked in amazement after Zhao Yuan pointed out his ailment. ”You haven’t asked me a single question or examined me at all. You just glanced at me a few times and knew my heart was bad? That’s incredible! I know some famous doctors, but none of them can do what you just did!”

”You flatter me, sir. I just have a little knack for Observation,” Zhao Yuan said humbly.

”That’s no ’little knack,’ that’s a remarkable talent,” an office worker said, squeezing through the crowd. He complimented Zhao Yuan first, then added, ”Take a look at me, too. See if I have any problems.”

Zhao Yuan glanced at the man and said, ”You have a problem with your kidneys.”

”Kidneys?” The office worker’s face instantly darkened. ”Nonsense!” he said, annoyed. ”My kidneys are perfectly fine!”

Hearing this, Zhao Yuan knew the man had misunderstood.

’Well, of course,’ Zhao Yuan thought. ’Being told you have kidney problems in front of a crowd... no man would admit to that or be happy about it.’

Zhao Yuan quickly explained, ”You’ve misunderstood. I’m talking about the organ, the kidney, not... that other ’function’ you’re thinking of.”

The office worker looked embarrassed but insisted, ”My kidneys are fine. I’ve never had any discomfort.”

Before Zhao Yuan could even speak, the people around him chimed in. ”You should probably get that checked at a hospital. Just because you don’t feel any discomfort doesn’t mean there isn’t a problem. Maybe it’s a hidden illness that hasn’t flared up yet? The sooner you find it, the sooner you can get treated!”

The old man with the heart condition added, ”That’s right. This young man is really something. He’s accurately diagnosed several people already. You should go get it checked out.”

With everyone chiming in, the office worker started to get scared. He decided he would go to the hospital for a check-up later to see if his kidneys really did have a problem.

This decision saved the office worker’s life. When he went to the hospital, he discovered he was suffering from kidney failure. Thankfully, it was caught early, and he made a full recovery after treatment. This left him eternally grateful to Zhao Yuan. If not for his warning, he would have waited until the symptoms became obvious to visit a hospital, by which time it would have been too late.

Zhao Yuan’s public diagnoses quickly attracted the attention of other passengers. Even people from adjacent cars were drawn over. In an instant, a surging crowd surrounded him, packing him in so tightly he couldn’t move.

”Hey man, check me out!”

”Hey handsome, can you see if there’s anything wrong with me?”

”Young man, I’ve been feeling really weak lately. Please, take a look and tell me what’s wrong with me!”

Everyone was clamoring for Zhao Yuan to examine them. After all, the Observation ability he had displayed was nothing short of miraculous.

The noise gave Zhao Yuan a headache, and he could only manage a wry smile.

’Damn it,’ he thought. ’I just wanted to test out the Qi Observation Technique and maybe show off a little. I didn’t expect it to get so out of hand...’

Just then, the train thankfully arrived at University City Station. Zhao Yuan quickly stood up. ”Sorry, this is my stop! Maybe I can check you all some other time!” he said as he shoved his way toward the platform.

Having reached the Mid Stage of Muscle Strengthening, Zhao Yuan was already far stronger than an ordinary person. He activated the Cyan Dragon Form from his Four Saints Technique and, as slippery as an eel, weaved through the gaps in the crowd. He quickly broke free from the human tide and stepped off the train.

However, to Zhao Yuan’s utter astonishment, a number of people got off the train with him, chasing after him and insisting he give them a diagnosis.

Zhao Yuan knew that if they caught him, he’d never get away. An endless stream of people would keep him trapped in the station until it closed for the night. Without a moment’s hesitation, he bolted.

”Don’t run! Wait for us!” the people shouted, hastily giving chase.

Onlookers who had no idea what was going on were baffled. ’What’s happening? Who are they all chasing? Is that some big celebrity?’ A good number of them, for no reason at all, also started running...

They weren’t as fast as Zhao Yuan, nor did they know the local area as well as he did. He quickly lost them.

Zhao Yuan sprinted all the way back to school, not stopping until he was inside his dorm building. Panting and clutching his chest, he gasped, ”Holy shit, that scared me to death. Looks like I need to be more low-key from now on.”
