Divine Level Witch Doctor

Since a verbal agreement wasn’t enough, the two immediately drafted a consignment contract. After signing it, Fang Yi chuckled and carefully put his copy away. His cautious expression made it seem as if he wasn’t storing a piece of paper, but a priceless treasure.

But in a way, wasn’t this contract a priceless treasure?

After putting the contract away, Fang Yi remembered an important question and quickly asked, ”Little Brother Zhao, how many boxes of this Soul-Stabilizing Incense can you make in a month?”

”Two to three hundred boxes shouldn’t be a problem,” Zhao Yuan replied.

’The key to making Soul-Stabilizing Incense is the formula; the process itself isn’t difficult at all. In fact, two or three hundred boxes was an understatement. As long as he had a steady supply of ingredients, he could make several thousand boxes a month. His only worry was that the price was set too high. If he made too many, he might not be able to sell them all right away, leaving him stuck with the inventory.’

”Two or three hundred boxes? That’s a little on the low side.” Fang Yi frowned and pondered for a moment before smiling. ”But a small quantity has its advantages. It’ll be easier to create a frenzy where demand outstrips supply, which will really make a name for the Soul-Stabilizing Incense!”

Fang Yi was thrilled. ’Even if the current monthly output of Soul-Stabilizing Incense is a bit low, selling two to three hundred boxes would net him a profit of two to three hundred thousand yuan. And that’s pure profit! It’s more than Hundred Herbs Hall makes in an entire month! Once Zhao Yuan ramps up production, he’ll earn even more! Besides, Fang Yi was certain that once people experienced the miraculous effects of the Soul-Stabilizing Incense, they would go crazy for it. By then, not only would he make a fortune, but his connections and social status would also rise to a whole new level!’

In Fang Yi’s eyes, this partnership with Zhao Yuan was a golden road to riches. And Zhao Yuan himself had become something like a living God of Wealth.

”Little Brother Zhao, I have to thank you for giving me this chance to make it big!” Fang Yi said to Zhao Yuan with utmost sincerity.

’At this moment, his perspective had completely shifted. Zhao Yuan wasn’t asking for his help; he was giving him a leg up. He couldn’t help but recall the fortune stick he had drawn at the temple earlier this year when he was offering incense. It said that a benefactor would help him this year. It seemed that fortune had been incredibly accurate. He’d have to go back to the temple to make a thank-you offering soon.’

”You’re too kind, Brother Fang,” Zhao Yuan said with a smile, though a flicker of surprise crossed his eyes as he felt a sliver of Wish Power flow into his body. ’It seems Wish Power isn’t just obtained from curing illnesses and saving people. You can also get it when someone is genuinely grateful to you for other reasons.’

The two chatted a bit more about selling the Soul-Stabilizing Incense and exchanged phone numbers, after which Zhao Yuan prepared to leave.

Fang Yi offered to drive Zhao Yuan, but after his offer was politely declined, he urged, ”Little Brother Zhao, six boxes of Soul-Stabilizing Incense definitely won’t be enough. Hurry and make some more to send over.”

Zhao Yuan nodded. ”Okay, I’ll make another batch of Soul-Stabilizing Incense and bring it over as soon as I can.”

”Oh, right, there’s something else I almost forgot to tell you.” Fang Yi suddenly slapped his forehead. ”Elder Wang called me this morning asking if I knew your address and phone number. What do you think, should I tell him?”

”Which Elder Wang?” Zhao Yuan asked, looking confused.

”You don’t remember? It’s Elder Wang Jiasen, the one you met when you were treating Ling’Er,” Fang Yi replied.

The reminder jogged Zhao Yuan’s memory. He frowned, confused. ”That’s strange. What would he be looking for me for? I don’t know him that well.”

Fang Yi shook his head. ”I asked, but he didn’t say. From the sound of his voice, though, he didn’t seem too happy.”

’Not happy? Could it be because I refused to trade medical books with him?’ Zhao Yuan thought to himself, his opinion of Wang Jiasen dropping a notch. ’The man is a renowned doctor of his age. How can he be so improper and shamelessly persistent?’

Of course, Zhao Yuan didn’t want to be pestered by Wang Jiasen, so he instructed, ”If he asks you about me again, just tell him you don’t know.”

”Okay,” Fang Yi agreed without hesitation. Zhao Yuan was his God of Wealth now, so of course he would do as he said.

After bidding farewell, Zhao Yuan turned and strode briskly out of the traditional medicine market.

Watching his retreating figure, Fang Yi sighed in admiration. ”That Little Brother Zhao is really something else. To be so calm in the face of a deal worth millions a month... I remember when I was his age, I’d be over the moon just from earning a few hundred yuan. You really can’t compare people!”

Little did Fang Yi know, Zhao Yuan’s calmness was all an act.

After leaving the traditional medicine market, Zhao Yuan finally couldn’t hold it in any longer. His body was trembling uncontrollably with excitement.

”Millions a month... I’m not dreaming, am I?” Zhao Yuan pinched himself hard. The sharp pain told him this was no dream.

’He knew the Soul-Stabilizing Incense would be profitable, but he’d never imagined it would be *this* profitable!’

’Millions... He had never seen that much money in his entire life.’

”Calm down. I have to calm down. Millions a month is just the best-case scenario. It’s still not certain we can even sell a few hundred boxes of Soul-Stabilizing Incense a month. I can’t celebrate too early.” Zhao Yuan tried to force himself to be calm. He was still worried about the high price of ten thousand yuan per box, fearing sales would be poor.

”I’ll just let Brother Fang worry about the sales. I chose to partner with him, so I should trust his judgment. If sales are really that bad, it won’t be too late to lower the price then.” Having made up his mind, Zhao Yuan took a couple of deep breaths and managed to suppress his excitement.

Meanwhile, back at Hundred Herbs Hall, Fang Yi carefully put away the three sticks of Soul-Stabilizing Incense Zhao Yuan had given him.

After experiencing its effects, he already considered the Soul-Stabilizing Incense a treasure. He planned to save the remaining three sticks for when his depression flared up, knowing that burning one would grant him instant relief from his suffering.

Immediately after, Fang Yi took out his phone, scrolled to a few numbers, and dialed them one by one. His pitch was the same for each: ”Brother, I’ve got something amazing over here. If you’re interested, come take a look. Don’t say I didn’t give you a heads-up, but stock is limited. If you’re late and it’s all gone, don’t you dare blame me for not sharing the good stuff.”

After finishing the calls, Fang Yi tossed his phone aside, crossed his legs, and hummed a little tune, waiting for the buyers to come knocking with cash in hand.

His confidence in the Soul-Stabilizing Incense was even greater than Zhao Yuan’s. He firmly believed that as soon as these people witnessed its miraculous effects, they would happily pay up. They might even end up fighting each other for it!
