BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Ye Clan Courtyard.

”Yao Chen and Xiao Yan have left?”

Liu Xi raised his brows slightly. In the current situation, they actually dared to leave the Pill Tower—it was no different from walking straight into the jaws of death.

Ye Xinlan nodded respectfully, standing upright beside him. ”Yes. It’s said that Association Head Xuan Kongzi personally took action to forge a new body for Medicine Sovereign Yao Chen. Not only did he recover, but his strength has even surpassed his former peak.”

Liu Xi’s expression showed genuine surprise. ”So that old fox still hides such skill—bringing someone back stronger than when they were alive. Impressive.”

He smiled faintly, then waved a hand toward the chair nearby. ”Xinlan, sit. There’s no need to be so stiff; there are no outsiders here.”

Ye Xinlan’s cheeks flushed slightly, but her tone was still polite. ”No, Senior. You’re now one of the Pill Tower Giants. Xinlan should stand.”

Qing Lin, watching from the side, chuckled softly and walked over. Taking Ye Xinlan’s hand, she pulled her down onto the chair. ”What are you so nervous about? My Young Master doesn’t bite. Even I, his maid, am more relaxed than you.”

While the two women exchanged quiet laughter, Liu Xi rested his chin on one hand, lost in thought. This time, Yao Chen had openly set himself against the Hall of Souls. Unless a miracle occurred, neither he nor Xiao Yan could possibly survive the retaliation that would follow.

’The Hall of Souls has bared its fangs now. Who knows if they can rein themselves back in? I need to focus on my own advancement.’

The mark of the Bone Chilling Flame had been completely erased—he could absorb it at any time. His Soul Essence had also been purified. It was the perfect moment to strengthen himself further.

The urge was strong, but Liu Xi restrained it. He had waited this long; a few more days wouldn’t matter.

He had already chosen his place of seclusion—the spatial chamber that once sealed the Three Thousand Burning Flame. Though the Heavenly Flame itself was gone, the domain still brimmed with starry energy drawn from the heavens above, constantly infused with the power of the stars.

”Qing Lin, Xinlan, I’ll be entering secluded cultivation soon. It may take a month, maybe half a year. During this time, both of you must not slack off. Qing Lin, focus on training. Xinlan, refine your alchemy. When I come out, I expect to see your progress.”

”Yes, Senior!” Ye Xinlan responded quickly, her voice trembling slightly with excitement.

”Yes, Young Master,” Qing Lin said softly, her tone calmer but her eyes full of quiet reluctance.

Liu Xi noted her expression but said nothing. After leaving a few last instructions, he departed for the Pill Tower.

He met with Xuan Kongzi and Tian Leizi, explained his plans, and easily obtained permission to enter the Star Region. Although he could have forced his way in, as one of the Pill Tower Giants, he chose to follow proper procedure. Before departing, he reminded them not to allow anyone to disturb him during his cultivation.

The Pill Tower remained one of the safest places in the Central Plains—no outside faction, not even the ancient clans, could breach Holy Pill City’s defenses.

When he opened the entrance to the Star Region, a vast sea of violet fire came into view, its waves surging endlessly. Scattered among the flames were countless threads of silvery light—the radiance of the stars themselves.

The azure flame that had merged with the Three Thousand Burning Flame immediately grew restless, dancing with excitement as if returning home. The resonance between the flame and Liu Xi’s soul made his Spiritual Power surge with vitality.

”Training here will double my results for half the effort,” Liu Xi murmured with a faint smile. He stepped atop a cresting wave of fire, letting it carry him toward the very heart of the fiery ocean.

When he reached the place where starlight was strongest, he descended and stood upon the blazing surface. His robe fluttered gently as he sat cross-legged, hands forming a seal.

”Let’s begin. Bone Chilling Flame first.”

Closing his eyes, Liu Xi guided his Spiritual Power through his meridians, summoning the Bone Chilling Flame into his spiritual world.

Within the boundless expanse of his spiritual domain, aside from his own soul form, a fist-sized orb of light hovered nearby—the Soul Essence he had obtained from the Human Hall. Then, from the far reaches of that realm, a pale-white flame was dragged inward—the Bone Chilling Flame, radiating a cold that froze even the void.

Liu Xi lifted his head, his eyes calm. The lotus imprint on his brow blazed as azure flame erupted, surging like a living dragon.

A massive azure serpent coalesced, its scales gleaming like crystal. With a low hiss, it contracted its body and shot forward, devouring the Bone Chilling Flame whole before diving back into Liu Xi’s being.

The refinement began.

Azure and white light intertwined around his body. The two flames clashed—one scorching, one deathly cold—each vying for dominance. The azure light quickly overwhelmed the white, suppressing it completely and devouring it bit by bit.

As the Bone Chilling Flame’s essence fused with his own, it nourished Liu Xi’s soul, pushing his Spirit Realm soul toward a higher boundary—the Heaven Realm.

The bottleneck that had once been insurmountable now trembled beneath the waves of immense Spiritual Power surging like a rising tide.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The barrier shattered. His soul flooded into a new realm, undergoing metamorphosis—becoming denser, sharper, and infinitely more agile. It was as if a veil had been lifted from the world, revealing truth itself.

”So this is the Heaven Realm Soul,” Liu Xi whispered, awe coloring his tone. ”Such incredible strength… this power feels as if I can almost grasp the essence of heaven and earth themselves.”

Yet as he stabilized his soul, he felt something else stir within his body. His Dou Qi, now blazing and vibrant, was nearing the peak of 3-Turn Dou Zun. The energies intertwined with the power of the stars, pressing forward toward a breakthrough.

Joy flashed in his eyes. He retrieved a vial and swallowed a drop of Dou Saint Marrow. The immense energy erupted instantly, flooding his meridians.

Compress—then compress again. The Dou Qi condensed, transforming under unimaginable pressure.

His life essence shifted, the transformation reaching into his blood, bones, and very cells. His entire being was undergoing a fundamental rebirth.

The heavens showered down starlight; the ocean of fire roared in answer. Between heaven and earth, Liu Xi absorbed both starry and flame energy, his form glowing faintly amidst the storm.

Time passed unnoticed. The starry brilliance rippled, the fiery sea churned violently. Waves of power spread outward from Liu Xi’s position, shaking the Star Region itself.

Sensing the instability, he immediately drew back his aura, suppressing it entirely. Otherwise, this pocket world might not withstand his strength.

When he opened his eyes again, the azure light in his pupils flickered once and vanished, and the domain fell still once more.

”Heaven Realm Soul, 4-Turn Dou Zun,” he murmured with a faint smile. ”Not yet a Dou Saint… I still have work to do.”
