BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Qi You’s killing intent surged, his aura boiling like a raging storm, but Xia Ao showed not the slightest fear. His domineering presence erupted in return as he glared coldly at Qi You and said flatly,

”Dragon Armor Army—bring back the one they call the royal-blooded heir. Who knows if it’s not just your little trick?”

”Heh, Qi You, let’s see for ourselves—have you surpassed the peak of the Dou Zun Realm, or are you still the same as before?”

The instant his words fell, Xia Ao shot forward, his momentum exploding like a collapsing mountain, ferocious and unrestrained. From the sheer pressure of his advance, it was clear he was no longer a mere peak Dou Zun.

”Yes!”

The Dragon Armor Army behind him roared in unison. At his command, dozens of warriors clad in dragon-patterned golden armor unleashed their heavy auras, connecting together into a vast tide of force that surged toward the East Dragon Island’s defenders.

Among the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe, bloodline was everything. The soldiers of the Dragon Armor Army, molded by the West Dragon King’s royal blood, now fought in his likeness. Even turning their blades against kin brought them no hesitation.

”Traitors—all of you deserve death!”

Qi You’s thunderous voice cracked across the sky. To betray the true Dragon Emperor’s lineage and question Zi Yan’s bloodline—such sins demanded no forgiveness. The dragons of East Dragon Island roared in fury, eyes burning with blazing wrath.

With a flick of his sleeve, Qi You unleashed a condensed wave of energy like a cannon blast. It tore through the air, striking precisely along Xia Ao’s path.

Xia Ao merely sneered, raising his hand with a thunderous bang! The attack dispersed like smoke, leaving him unharmed.

”Qi You, these little tricks won’t work on me. Stop wasting time—fight me properly!”

”As you wish.”

Qi You’s cold voice echoed suddenly from beside Xia Ao’s ear. Both were members of the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe—their strength depended not only on Dou Qi, but on the might of their bodies and bloodlines.

Xia Ao snorted and met Qi You’s charge head-on. Their palms clashed with an earth-shattering boom, distorting space around them, dark cracks spiderwebbing through the sky.

The two separated after one strike, retreating a few steps each. Xia Ao’s heavy footsteps made the void tremble. He flexed his fingers and grinned, battle-lust gleaming in his eyes.

”Good! Since I’m just following orders, I might as well enjoy myself. Come, old man!”

Qi You’s gaze flicked toward the battlefield below. The dragons of East Dragon Island were being pressed hard by the Dragon Armor Army. It was no surprise—they lacked royal descendants, and much of their strength had been stolen away by the three rival Dragon Kings long ago.

But he only needed to endure. Once Zi Yan awakened, everything would change.

”Hmph!”

With a cold snort, Qi You launched himself back into the fray. As two Ancient Void Dragons, their clash was primal and devastating—every strike shattered space, every shockwave reduced the surroundings to swirling void.

Just then, space twisted again. Zhu Li stepped forth from a spatial fissure, his expression grim. His sharp gaze swept over the battlefield, lingering briefly on Qi You and Xia Ao’s clash before shifting to the surroundings.

”The West Dragon Island brought both Xia Ao and the Dragon Armor Army,” he muttered coldly. ”So who has South Dragon Island sent besides the Barbaric Dragon Army?”

At his words, the air above the southern ranks stirred. From among a formation of bare-chested warriors covered in coiling dragon tattoos, a massive elder emerged, his presence like a mountain.

”Zhu Li, long time no see.”

Zhu Li’s brow furrowed. ”So it’s Elder Man Yan. You’ve brought the Barbaric Dragon Army here too? You truly intend to make another mistake? Princess Zi Yan’s bloodline flows from the Old Dragon Emperor himself—it is the purest royal blood! None of your so-called Dragon Kings can compare!”

The hulking elder—Man Yan—twitched slightly at the name ”Old Dragon Emperor,” but his expression quickly hardened again.

”That’s only your side of the story,” he said evenly. ”Who can say what’s true anymore? Regardless, the Three Dragon Kings will not let this go.”

Zhu Li’s heart sank. ’Even if Zi Yan’s bloodline is genuine, those three have already tasted the power of ruling. They will never bow again.’ The real traitors were not the common dragons, but the kings themselves. The rest, bound by bloodline suppression, could only follow.

Still, fate seemed to favor them. Zi Yan had found the Dragon Seal, had obtained the Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit. If they could hold out until she awakened, no false king could stand before her.

Steeling himself, Zhu Li spread his arms. His robes fluttered though there was no wind, and the aura of a Half Saint erupted without restraint.

”Come, then! Let me see how much of the famed Barbaric Dragon Army remains under your South Dragon King!”

Man Yan’s face changed. Even as a veteran warrior, facing a Half Saint allowed no carelessness. He glared at Zhu Li, voice deep and grim.

”Then let me show you—the Barbaric Dragon Army fears no Half Saint! Barbaric Dragon Army, Dragon Transformation!”

Roars erupted like thunder. The warriors around him screamed as their bodies transformed—arms and legs turning into dragon claws, scales rippling across their skin.

Within breaths, hundreds of half-dragon soldiers stood ready, their combined aura fierce enough to rival Zhu Li’s might.

A battle of one man against an army ignited. Zhu Li charged into the formation, each strike scattering foes like leaves. No one could withstand a single exchange. Even Elder Man Yan himself was quickly overwhelmed.

With a final punch that shattered the void, Zhu Li sent Man Yan flying, coughing blood. The Half Saint exhaled slowly.

”It ends here. You’ll take nothing today. Stop your pointless struggle.”

Man Yan wiped the blood from his lips, eyes narrowing. ”The Three Dragon Kings plan for everything, Zhu Li. Did you really think they wouldn’t account for your strength? Haven’t you noticed—someone’s missing?”

Zhu Li froze. His eyes swept across the battlefield—East Dragon Island’s forces were barely holding the line, but…

”Damn it… the North Dragon Island!”

As if summoned by his words, space above them twisted open again. A figure in azure robes stepped out, smiling pleasantly, his expression calm and refined.

Zhu Li’s pupils constricted, his face turning grim. ”Qing Yan… So the North Dragon King truly went all in this time.”

”All units—block Qing Yan at all costs! Do not let him pass!”

”Yes!” Hei Qing roared, his voice echoing like thunder. The surrounding dragon guards bellowed in unison, flames flickering in their eyes as they fixed their gazes on Qing Yan. Even knowing he was a Half Saint, not one of them hesitated.

Qing Yan smiled faintly. ”Pointless resistance.”

…

Meanwhile, deep within the volcano, Liu Xi had finally refined every trace of violet crystal within Zi Yan’s body. Wisps of mist swirled around her as energy poured into her veins.

Channeling his Spiritual Power, Liu Xi called out in a low, resonant voice:

”Zi Yan—wake up.”
