Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 144: Chapter 128: The Beginning of the Scandal

”Time will tell.” Song Chi said.

”Then it depends on your performance.” Zhou Yun smiled.

Talking with Song Chi always felt relaxing. After a day of shooting, Zhou Yun was somewhat tense and didn’t have much energy, but chatting with Song Chi loosened her up gradually. Even Zheng Xiaojue was attracted by her occasional laughter.

After hanging up the phone, Zheng Xiaojue saw the lingering smile on Zhou Yun’s lips and said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, were you on the phone with Song Chi again?”

Zhou Yun: ”How did you know?”

Zheng Xiaojue said, ”Because you only smile like that when you talk to him.”

”Really? Is that an exaggeration?” Zhou Yun didn’t realize this herself, and her cheeks blushed slightly after being pointed out by Zheng Xiaojue.

”But Song Chi really is handsome, no wonder you like talking to him,” Zheng Xiaojue seriously nodded, ”If my friend were that handsome, I’d definitely be making video calls with him every day.”

”You make it sound like I am obsessed with looks.”

”Ah? Sister Xiao Yun, aren’t you?” Zheng Xiaojue looked surprised.

Zheng Xiaojue’s surprise made Zhou Yun less sure that she wasn’t.

When Zhou Yun returned to the hotel, she unexpectedly ran into Yu Yan in the hallway.

Yu Yan was dressed in simple jeans and a T-shirt, walking forward while looking at her phone.

Zhou Yun called out to her.

Yu Yan looked up, ”Oh, Xiao Yun.”

”You...” Zhou Yun hesitated, ”Are you okay?”

Yu Yan looked worse than she had in the morning. Although she was wearing makeup, the exhaustion under her eyes was unmistakable.

”I’m fine,” Yu Yan shook her head, ”Go rest, I’ll be downstairs.”

Yu Yan’s room was not on this floor.

Zhou Yun couldn’t help but wonder, what was Yu Yan doing on this floor?

Suddenly someone opened a door, wearing slippers and shorts, with no shirt on.

Zhou Yun turned and saw Gu Huaichun.

She was completely stunned.

Gu Huaichun was holding a handbag, one that Zhou Yun had seen with Yu Yan.

She looked at Gu Huaichun in astonishment.

Gu Huaichun, also surprised, looked back at her.

Zhou Yun then looked at Yu Yan; with an expressionless face, she took the bag and walked away without explaining anything.

Zhou Yun thought of the indescribable sounds she had heard several times.

She watched Gu Huaichun in disbelief, taking a long time to recover.

After a brief moment of surprise, Gu Huaichun’s expression returned to normal.

”Why are you staring at me like this?”

”You and Yu Yan?” Zhou Yun approached.

Gu Huaichun shrugged, his handsome face conveying an indifferent ”so what” look.

”We’re not lovers, don’t get it wrong.”

”Then what?” Zhou Yun’s cheeks reddened.

Gu Huaichun said, ”Mutual benefits.”

Zhou Yun stepped back in shock, re-evaluating her understanding of Gu Huaichun.

Gu Huaichun frowned slightly, ”Why do you look at me like I’m a scumbag?”

Zhou Yun: ”Sorry, my values are just shocked.”

She fled in panic, hurrying back to her room.

Zhou Yun had long been curious about who the woman in Gu Huaichun’s room was but had never asked. Not only were her relations with Gu Huaichun not so good, but even if they were good, it’s an awkward question to ask. She is a girl; he is a boy; some questions are too embarrassing to ask.

Thinking about Gu Huaichun’s indifferent ”What’s the big deal” look.

Zhou Yun shared her laughable encounter with Zhou Lan first thing.

Zhou Lan laughed uncontrollably over the phone.

”You just walked in on them?”

Zhou Yun held one hand over half her face, standing on the balcony on a hot July night, her hair fluttering in the breeze.

”I was so embarrassed I wished I could dig a hole and crawl in,” Zhou Yun said. ”And you know, Gu Huaichun even complained to me today about how unprofessional Yu Yan is at acting, saying her skills are poor.”

Zhou Lan: ”But Yu Yan is pretty.”

”I just can’t understand, are they just hooking up?” Zhou Yun said in an astonished tone, ”And he even said ’mutual benefits’, I can’t believe he could say that.”

”People aren’t wrong,” Zhou Lan seemed quite understanding.

”Not wrong?”

”Young men and women, they all have their needs, it’s quite common in film crews,” Zhou Lan said, ”Haven’t you heard about set couples?”

”I’ve heard of it as a bizarre tale.”
