Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 112: Chapter 112: The Beginning of a Scandal

Song Chi quickly came downstairs.

At noon, the sun blazed like fire.

Song Chi came over, his head under the scorching sun.

Zhou Yun saw him and said, ”Song Chi is down, let’s go.”

Li Yuning nodded.

”It’s really sunny today,” Zhou Yun said.

Song Chi asked, ”Didn’t you bring a sun umbrella?”

”I didn’t expect it to be so sunny today.”

”I thought you girls always carry an umbrella when you go out.”

”I’m lazy.”

Song Chi laughed and said, ”It’s not far, we’ll be there soon.”

From the parking spot to Song Chi’s friend’s place was about two hundred meters.

When they arrived downstairs, Zhou Yun asked, ”What’s your friend’s name? How should I address him?”

Song Chi said, ”You’ll know once you meet him.”

”What?” Zhou Yun’s expression was baffled, ”How would I know how to address your friend if I don’t even know him?”

”Who said you don’t know him?” Song Chi’s face broke into a proud smile, as if the secrecy thus far was just for the sake of this moment.

Zhou Yun was stunned.

She had no idea what Song Chi was playing at.

But from what Song Chi said, Zhou Yun should know this friend of his?

Zhou Yun thought, she only knew a few people in common with Song Chi.

Who could it be?

To Zhou Yun’s surprise, it turned out to be Lew Yuan.

”Teacher Lew!” Zhou Yun exclaimed joyfully.

Unexpectedly, it was Lew Yuan.

Lew Yuan’s smile was particularly radiant, and he immediately hugged Zhou Yun, ”You finally made it, Xiao Yun.”

Zhou Yun had met Lew Yuan once before during a show recording. Afterwards, they had gone for a late supper and karaoke together, leaving a very good impression on Zhou Yun.

”So it’s you! Song Chi didn’t tell me, I was quite nervous before coming.” Zhou Yun was very happy to see Lew Yuan.

Lew Yuan said, ”Come in,” and asked, ”What would you like to drink? Coffee, juice, or water?”

”Water,” Zhou Yun responded quickly.

While pouring water for Zhou Yun, Lew Yuan said, ”I happened to be here today for a recording, so Xiao Chi invited me to participate in your program.”

Zhou Yun asked, ”Ah? Would that be a disturbance to you?”

”No worries, my recording session starts later in the evening,” Lew Yuan said, ”I still have time to have a meal with you.”

Lew Yuan brought the water over and said, ”You guys sit for a while, I’ll go prepare lunch.”

Zhou Yun stood up, saying, ”Let me help.”

”It’s okay, no need, it’s just a simple meal, I can manage myself,” Lew Yuan said. ”It’s not reasonable to have guests help, please take a seat.”

Lew Yuan cheerfully persuaded Zhou Yun to sit down and then went into the kitchen.

Zhou Yun was somewhat surprised and whispered to Song Chi, ”I didn’t realize Teacher Lew cooked himself.”

Song Chi said, ”Seems like someone here often orders takeout at home?”

Zhou Yun said, ”Work is so busy, when I do get some free time, the last thing I want is to cook.”

”Brother Lew likes cooking. He has bought apartments in several cities he frequents. Whenever he has time, he invites friends over for meals,” Song Chi said. ”But this meal, I invited myself over.”

”Teacher Lew is really good to you.”

”Of course, I’m a good person, naturally Brother Lew is good to me too.”

”Can you not seize every opportunity to sing your own praises?” Zhou Yun said disdainfully.

Song Chi laughed and asked, ”Not playing the delicate little sister anymore?”

Zhou Yun suddenly snapped back to reality and looked at the camera set up in the room.

”Stop looking, it’s already captured, your true colors are revealed,” Song Chi teased.

Zhou Yun glared at Song Chi with furrowed brows: ”Did you do that on purpose!”

Song Chi shrugged his shoulders, saying, ”Don’t blame me for revealing your true self.”

Zhou Yun huffed angrily, stood up, hands on hips, looking down at Song Chi, said, ”You’re the one who’s truly revealed! Even if I’m revealed, I’m still a fairy!”

With hands on her hips, Zhou Yun twisted her body and headed toward the kitchen.

”Teacher Lew, let me help you!”

Her tone turned sweet again.

Two-faced.

Song Chi: ”...”

Song Chi didn’t want to admit it, but the way Zhou Yun coquettishly twisted her body just then made his heart flutter.

Seriously speaking, Song Chi indeed had feelings for Zhou Yun; if not, he would be crazy to be so deeply invested in a female artist he met by chance.

But human relationships are complicated, it’s not certain that alone men and women will ignite fiery romance, there are also scenarios like theirs, where they knew no results could come of it, only tentatively testing each other, indulging in a bit of flirtation.

If both were willing, hiding in secrecy for a few months, enjoying the thrill, that too was a possibility.

However, having known and understood Zhou Yun, he knew this drama wouldn’t work.

He didn’t want to force anything.

Not to mention Zhou Yun, he himself couldn’t afford an open and aboveboard love affair. At such a critical moment, any uncertainty was too much to bear.

So, the current relationship was their limit, unable to progress further.

The only thing that comforted Song Chi was that Zhou Yun was even more rational than him.

Zhou Yun had conveyed the ”let’s just be friends” message even earlier than him.

Neither wanted to indulge in fleeting pleasures.

Song Chi smiled to himself, thinking his judgment was not wrong; Zhou Yun really was different from many other female artists in the entertainment circle.

This different female artist suddenly came out of the kitchen holding a dish.

She glared and grumbled at the male artist sitting on the sofa: ”Are you really sitting there like a lord waiting to be served? Hurry up and come help with the dishes!”

Then the male artist went into the kitchen under the female artist’s instruction.

Lew Yuan laughed and said, ”Xiao Chi, Xiao Yun is quite an interesting girl.”

”Brother Lew, you better stop there.”

Lew Yuan smiled and said no more.

The three of them sat down for lunch.

Speaking of a homestyle meal, it truly was, nothing too fancy, but every bite had that authentic homemade taste, delicious.

Zhou Yun gave Lew Yuan a thumbs up, saying, ”Teacher Lew, your cooking skills are amazing! Delicious!”

Lew Yuan didn’t play modest, smilingly said, ”Absolutely, after so many years should have learned something.”

”Do you cook often?” Lew Yuan asked Zhou Yun.

”I can cook, but haven’t done much these last few months, too busy. I used to cook more when I wasn’t this busy,” Zhou Yun said somewhat embarrassedly.

Lew Yuan: ”Then you’re still doing better than Song Chi, he still can’t do a thing.”

Zhou Yun didn’t hide the smirk on her face.

Song Chi immediately retorted: ”Brother Lew, don’t be fooled by her words, her cooking skills are just average, okay? She invited me for a meal and just made a chicken soup hotpot, throwing everything in to boil, even a fool can do that.”

Lew Yuan’s expression turned to one of surprise.

Zhou Yun countered: ”You have the nerve to blame me? You brought over a bag of groceries late at night asking me to cook for you, I did well to make you chicken soup hotpot, be content with that.”

Lew Yuan’s expression grew even more shocked.

”Hold on, when did all this happen?”

He tilted his head, signaling Song Chi and Zhou Yun with his eyes, reminding them that the camera was still filming.
