Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 126: Chapter 123: The Beginning of the Scandal

Zhou Yun’s answer was straightforward, and straightforward answers always seem cute.

”Zhou Yun, good morning.” Yin Zhou walked over carrying a plate of breakfast.

”Morning.” Zhou Yun smiled at Yin Zhou.

”Who was that just now?” Li Yuning asked.

Zhou Yun said, ”Yin Zhou, an actor in ’Eighth Heartbeat’ with me.”

”Pretty handsome.”

”Yes, very handsome.” Zhou Yun nodded in agreement, her eyes twinkling with little stars, ”When I decided to act in this drama, the producer and director asked me about my thoughts on the co-actors, and I said they must be handsome.”

”Are you also focused on looks?” Li Yuning asked.

”This drama is all about the looks,” Zhou Yun emphasized, ”It’s sweet and doting; the actress can be average, but the actor has to be handsome.”

”Why do you say that?” Li Yuning asked.

”If the male actor isn’t handsome, how can female viewers immerse themselves in the plot?” Zhou Yun laughed, ”I have a friend, who is also an actor, named Yuk Chu. She once said something very true, some dramas are about creating a fantastical dream for the audience, the less realistic the fantasy, the more it makes young girls’ hearts flutter, and I think ’Eighth Heartbeat’ is exactly that type of drama.”

”I heard you initially didn’t want to act in this drama?” Li Yuning asked.

Zhou Yun looked at Li Yuning in surprise, ”You know about that?”

She surrendered with her hands up, saying, ”Okay, I’ll be honest, it’s not that I didn’t want to act in the drama, but I felt I couldn’t pull it off. I haven’t had such youthful sentiments for a long time, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to portray it well. You know, I’m not a very experienced actor, nor professionally trained in acting. If I messed up, it would be a major disaster, firstly letting down such a handsome co-actor, and secondly the drama itself.”

”But you ended up acting in this drama, why?” Li Yuning asked.

Why? Due to the company’s pressure, Yuehai Network’s persistence, and various less-than-ideal reasons.

”Because the company said I could do it, and the producers also thought I could, so I did it,” Zhou Yun said with a smile, ”and also, the male actor is really handsome.”

With jokes and teasers, this interview finally ended.

”Sister Xiao Yun!” Suddenly, a girl’s voice rang out.

Zhou Yun looked over in confusion and saw a little girl with her hair tied in a bun.

Zhou Yun had seen her before, she was also an actress in this drama, playing a supporting role.

The name seemed to be... Yu Yhan?

Yu Yhan ran over with a face full of friendly smiles and hugged Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun was startled.

She had never been so close with Yu Yhan.

What was Yu Yhan doing?

”Ah, are you in the middle of filming a show?” Yu Yhan asked belatedly.

Zhou Yun had no choice but to explain, ”Yes, we’re filming a show.”

Yu Yhan’s pupils shocked, and suddenly, she covered her face with both hands, ”I haven’t done my makeup!”

With that, she turned and ran off.

Zhou Yun was at a loss.

She belatedly realized that she hadn’t put on makeup either.

Zhou Yun turned to Li Yuning and asked, ”Do I also look haggard? I think I haven’t put on makeup either.”

”You look fine, you’re so pale,” Li Yuning said.

Zhou Yun: ”No way, I still have to go out later, I’ll put on some sunscreen, wait for me a moment.”

Zhou Yun also ran off.

She said sunscreen, and it really was just sunscreen.

She put on a fisherman’s hat and a pair of sunglasses, wearing a simple T-shirt, beach shorts, and flip-flops, she came downstairs.

Li Yuning thought Zhou Yun rushed to apply makeup for a refined on-camera appearance, only to realize it was just a change from a casual home style to an ordinary student look.

Zhou Yun and Zheng Xiaojue took a taxi to a nearby supermarket.

With a cameraman tagging along, it was hard not to attract attention with such a large group.

Zhou Yun was somewhat troubled and whispered to Zheng Xiaojue, ”If anyone comes up and asks what we are doing, just tell them we are college students, filming a short video.”

Zheng Xiaojue asked in surprise, ”But wouldn’t people recognize you as Zhou Yun?”

”Not really, let me tell you, only celebrities like Yang Mi or Zhao Liying are easily recognized in real life. For someone like me who merely had a brief internet buzz, unless you tell them, no one would remember my name.”

The staff in the program team listening to Zhou Yun through earpieces didn’t know what to say.

Many of them muttered internally, do you think your recent trending wasn’t for nothing?

Zhou Yun originally wanted to buy some snacks, but thinking about having to film soon, it seemed better to watch her weight.
