Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2833: Chapter 3834: Strange Pain

”What solution do you have?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

Yizi revealed a confident smile, her face showing more and more smiles these days, and she wasn’t as timid as before.

”I can prepare a few array plates in advance, and by then, we’ll just let experts with good riding skills or lightness skills place them in the four locations.” Yizi said.

”How much deviation is acceptable?” Those setting the array plates don’t understand the array and might not grasp the distance at all.

”The deviation doesn’t matter; the farther they are placed, the larger the controlled range, just ensure they are in the four cardinal directions.” Yizi added.

Bai Ruozhu beamed with joy, ”This is a good method. You just need to make the array plates and don’t need to join the battle.”

”No, Master, I need to maintain it in the array.” Yizi quickly said.

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but feel uneasy about her, but it had to be this way; by then, she would have Jianqi keep an eye on her protection.

In the blink of an eye, the three-day deadline arrived. She took some skilled guards to escort the provisions, while sixty dark guards were scattered and hidden in the dark.

Shortly after leaving the city, they passed the first critical point, Bai Ruozhu’s heart was in her throat as she had to guard against any miscalculation by the opponent choosing this spot.

Fortunately, there was no unexpected situation, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

After traveling for more than half an hour, they were about to reach the place Bai Ruozhu estimated. She gave Yizi a glance, indicating for Yizi to be prepared.

Yizi’s hands trembled slightly, obviously nervous too. Bai Ruozhu squeezed her hand and whispered, ”It’s okay.”

In the distance, Turkic people were hiding deep in the forest. One of them was observing with a long western telescope and excitedly exclaimed, ”That Bai Ruozhu indeed came riding a black leopard; we must catch that leopard today.”

”How can a leopard compare with our sweat-blood horses?” said the person beside him disdainfully.

”What do you know! That’s the barbarian clan’s finest beast pet, a horse can only run fast, but can it help you fight? Keep your eyes sharp and make sure to snatch it, but don’t harm Bai Ruozhu.”

”Got it, how many times have you emphasized that, anyone would think you’re in love with her.”

”Bullshit! As if this king would fancy a woman who’s already had a baby?” the man said angrily.

Suddenly, the sound of a whistle was heard from afar, and cavalry horses rushed over from the distance.

”It’s now, place the array plates!” Yizi hurriedly called out.

The four predetermined people rushed towards the southeast, northwest, and southwest directions, urging their horses forward as fast and far as possible.

”What are they doing?” The Turkic man squinted his eyes and suddenly drew his bow and aimed an arrow at one of them.

That person was hit and fell off the horse, although not a fatal wound, the array plate fell to the ground. As he reached to pick it up, he couldn’t lift it at all.

”Just leave it and come back quickly!” Yizi shouted loudly.

Once the array plate falls, it’s fixed, regardless of whether it was placed or accidentally dropped, it can’t be moved again.

Until its energy is exhausted, it will then be destroyed.

Bai Ruozhu frowned, it was a little close to the east.

Fortunately, this delay and the other three positions being far from the Turkic people allowed them to successfully be placed in suitable positions.

The four array plates complimented each other, Yizi held one sitting in the center, fully activating the array.

The Turkic cavalry charging at the forefront slowed down immediately after entering the array; due to inertia, they almost fell.

”Hyah! Hyah! What’s going on? Demonic methods?” the Turkic man exclaimed in surprise.

The self-proclaimed ”king” Turkic man pointed in Yizi’s direction, ”It’s that woman causing trouble, shoot her!”

Turkic men drew their bows and shot arrows towards Yizi. Bai Ruozhu immediately ordered a defense, the guards raised their shields forming a shield array, blocking the incoming arrows. Soon, each shield was nailed with several arrows, making those watching get goosebumps.

”Prince, what do we do now?” someone asked anxiously.

”Fire arrows, shoot hard!” the Turkic prince shouted.

The Turkic men ran while lighting fire arrows on horseback, shooting towards the shield array.

Bai Ruozhu squinted, ”Throw water!”

Having seen fire attacks once before, how could she not be prepared?

She had earlier instructed the guards, each carrying water bags, with modified openings that weren’t the original large ones, but small thumb-width openings akin to a shower head, for quicker extinguishing of flames.

Sure enough, this wave of fire arrows was put out, and the Turkic people were getting closer. Previously winning through speed, they had now lost it; relying on archery, their arrows had not harmed a single person, hitting their confidence hard.

”Prince, the situation’s bad, should we retreat?” someone asked.

”Retreat my foot! Without provisions, we’ll starve. It’s just a woman leading ragtag troops, charge in and kill!” the Turkic prince shouted.

Bai Ruozhu’s mouth curled slightly, if it were a speed battle, she couldn’t handle Turkic people, but in close combat, they were finished.

She moved her fingers, spreading drug powder out. Suddenly, over sixty dark guards rushed out, surrounding Bai Ruozhu’s group protectively.

Upon seeing Bai Ruozhu’s smile, the Turkic prince shivered, realizing that they had walked into a trap!

Unfortunately for him, it was too late; Bai Ruozhu’s side had already ordered to kill, as the Turkic cavalry charging in front were either shot by arrows or cut down by dark guards, and within moments, a third of the Turkic people were dead.

The Turkic prince gritted his teeth, dodging two dark guards’ attacks, then suddenly dismounted, sprinting quickly towards Bai Ruozhu.

The curved knife slashed out, and Bai Ruozhu sidestepped, dodging, swiftly countering with the dagger in her hand.

”Off the horse, you’re nothing.” Bai Ruozhu said with a cold laugh.

”You’ll find out soon enough.” The Turkic prince said furiously.

”Haven’t you noticed difficulty breathing?” Bai Ruozhu grinned.

The Turkic prince’s face turned ashen, ”You, you used poison!”

”Why not? Prepare to die!” She wielded her dagger attacking the Turkic prince.

”You think you can kill me?” The Turkic prince said angrily, ”You won’t be smug for long.”

This statement felt like a curse, suddenly Bai Ruozhu clutched her arm in pain, as Yizi, controlling the array, was also keeping an eye on Bai Ruozhu, urgently asked, ”Master, what’s wrong?”

Bai Ruozhu’s face turned pale with pain, sweat beads forming on her forehead.

”I’m not hurt, but it feels as if I’ve been slashed by someone,” she said through gritted teeth.

”Probably an evil technique.” Yizi looked towards Jianqi, ”You return to protect the master.”

The pain... Bai Ruozhu screamed and fell off Xiaohei’s back, crashing heavily on the ground.

What was happening to her, it felt like a slash on her back, was it Turkic evil techniques?

In that moment of distraction, the Turkic prince had already retreated, protected by his subordinates as they withdrew.

”Send someone to kill him, we can’t let the tiger return to the mountain!” Bai Ruozhu said with difficulty, suddenly her stomach felt as if it had been kicked.
