Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2180: Chapter 2178: Zhou Jue and Ji Ziyan

Bai Ruozhu thought about how she had arranged Jing Lei and Yizi to accompany Little Dengdeng at the inn today. If Jing Lei were present and got praised by Xu Man for his looks, would he also blush?

But Jing Lei is married, so he surely knows more about these matters now and probably wouldn’t be as shy as the young Muyu.

As for Jianqi, well, he’s just used to having a cold demeanor, I suppose.

”Snatching people in broad daylight, how outrageous!” Bai Ruozhu said, feigning anger.

Xu Man hurriedly waved his hands, ”Master Li, please keep your voice down. Nowadays, the princess runs the Capital City, just stay away from the area around the Music Workshop, or maybe just disguise their faces a bit.”

Bai Ruozhu waved his hand, ”Forget it, I’ll just tell them to be cautious.”

After a few drinks, Xu Man began to wobble, and Bai Ruozhu didn’t hear any more news, not even those he subtly inquired about Zhou Jue. Alas, Xu Man didn’t mention him at all.

Returning from the restaurant to the inn, Bai Ruozhu started pondering. Perhaps Zhou Jue hadn’t made an appearance for too long, hence the lack of rumors?

Where could he and Ji Ziyan have gone?

...

On a mountain outside the Capital City in Chengshui Country, a man and a woman stood facing each other, the man’s expression was extremely grim.

”How many times have I told you? Don’t do this here, didn’t you say it’s bad for your health? Doesn’t shrinking your bones hurt?” The man was very angry, yet his tone revealed a hint of concern.

The woman flashed forward before the man, suddenly going limp in his arms, throwing him a seductive glance and said sweetly, ”But you like me this way, as long as you like it, what does it matter if it hurts every day?”

The man’s face instantly flushed to the base of his neck, his gentle face shrouded in a rosy hue.

”Zhou Jue, stop always being like this!” Ji Ziyan said with a mix of embarrassment and anger, yet couldn’t bear to pull away from the soft person for fear of dropping him.

Zhou Jue’s arms wound around his neck like water snakes, bringing his crimson lips to his ear to say, ”Don’t you like it?”

As he said this, he parted his lips and gently bit Ji Ziyan’s earlobe. Ji Ziyan’s body trembled, instinctively wanting to pull away, but he was restrained by a pair of hands, unable to move.

Zhou Jue’s tongue trailed down lightly and nibbled on his collarbone, emitting a gentle laugh from the person in his arms. Ji Ziyan suddenly came to his senses, pushing him and said, ”I don’t like it! Zhou Jue, stop using the Bone Shrinking Skill to become like this, you’re not originally so petite.”

Zhou Jue’s face darkened, moving away from him, his eyes looking at him with a sorrowful expression, ”What do I have to be like for you to like me? I’ve sent away most of my subordinates and stopped vying for power and wealth, just wanting to live with you in a place with beautiful mountains and rivers, what more do you want from me?”

His face turned even more unsightly, ”You just find me disgusting, don’t you? Being with you always felt forced, you must feel nauseous just thinking about my body, right?”

In an instant, his eyes reddened, tears uncontrollably streaming out. A series of cracking bone sounds followed, and he transformed from a petite woman back into his original tall and thin form, his face unchanged.

”I...” Ji Ziyan felt a bitterness in his mouth. He didn’t like him, how could he like a man?

Seeing Ji Ziyan like this, Zhou Jue became even more disappointed. He then wiped his tears and said, ”Forget it, you can leave if you want, you’re free now.”

After saying that, he turned and headed toward the mountain without looking back.

Ji Ziyan watched his departing back, feeling utterly desolate, mirroring his own emotions at the moment.

He smiled bitterly; why feel desolate? He should be happy, he’s finally free and can escape from that androgynous freak.

Yet when he lifted his foot, it felt difficult to move, and his heart ached unwittingly.

This is a rare opportunity, if he doesn’t leave now, then when?

At last, he took a step, soon followed by a second step, and then headed down the mountain.

About half an hour later, a figure staggered back. His hair was disheveled, his eyes vacant, as though he’d just gone through something tormenting.

Ji Ziyan reached to scratch at his already tangled hair, muttering to himself, ”I must be crazy, how did I end up coming back?”

He wrestled with himself for a long time, even wishing he could kill himself, but his heart ached as though it were being cut with a knife, so in the end, as if guided by an unseen force, he returned.

He sat in their small house for a long time, lost in thought. At this moment, a battle waged within him; his long-held moral views told him not to stay, but a voice in his heart urged him not to go.

It wasn’t until dark that he snapped out of it, wondering where Zhou Jue had gone and why he hadn’t returned yet.

Could he have already left, never to return?

Ji Ziyan suddenly panicked, memories of their days together flashing through his mind — Zhou Jue shamelessly clinging to him, taking advantage, teasing him, and the numerous embarrassing incidents that occurred between them.

He had blamed himself many times, feeling disgusted with himself and Zhou Jue, even saying many hurtful things, almost every time begging Zhou Jue to let him go.

But now that he was truly willing to let go, he realized he couldn’t escape after all.

He lit a torch, anxiously heading up the mountain, calling Zhou Jue’s name as he walked, but still no response came — Zhou Jue must have already left.

He collapsed to the ground in despair, fearing that Zhou Jue had lost patience and hope, never to return again.

He couldn’t articulate his feelings at this moment, whether it was regret or frustration, or perhaps self-reproach?

Just as he was on the verge of giving up, painful whimpers came from the nearby bush, prompting him to jump up and head toward it.

”Zhou Jue, is that you?” he asked with a mixture of nervous excitement.

The person in the bush moved, revealing a crack through which Zhou Jue’s face appeared!

”What happened to you?” He rushed over to help him, realizing Zhou Jue’s face was flushed and his mouth stained with blood.

Not being a martial artist nor knowing anything about medical books, he had no idea what was wrong with Zhou Jue, so he could only drag him slowly down the mountain.

He took Zhou Jue to the bed in their small house, and as he laid him down, Zhou Jue pulled him in.

Still semi-conscious, Zhou Jue murmured, ”Ziyan, Ziyan, don’t leave me...”

Tears welled up in Ji Ziyan’s eyes, and he said, ”Alright.”

Zhou Jue’s eyes remained shut, but a tear slid down from the corner, and Ji Ziyan gently wiped it away with the utmost care.

Suddenly, Zhou Jue pulled him into an embrace, their long kiss burning hotly and passionately, as the temperature in the room gradually rose.

For once, Ji Ziyan did not dodge or put up any resistance, but instead treated Zhou Jue like a beloved woman, kissing and caressing him, and ultimately releasing on top of him...

”Zhou Jue, I won’t hide from you anymore,” Ji Ziyan softly said.

Finally, the moment everyone was waiting for with Zhou Jue and Ziyan has arrived. Isn’t it time to reward this humble servant with some monthly tickets?
