Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2156: Chapter 2154: Bi Tao’s State of Mind

”I don’t know anything.” Jing Lei sighed gloomily.

Muyu said with a bitter face, ”Although the lady is really nice, and following her surely means no worries about food and clothing, why do I feel so uneasy? Our master left us all with the lady, what if he has no one by his side?”

”The master is very strange.” Jing Lei’s words were still few, but concise.

Muyu scratched his head in frustration, ”It’s not that I don’t want to follow the lady, I’m just afraid no one will be with the master. Hey, do you think the master might have other subordinates?”

”I don’t know.” Jing Lei said expressionlessly, ”I listen to the master.”

”Then I also listen to the master.” Muyu said sullenly.

...

In the following days, the Jiuli Clan returned to peace, but Bai Ruozhu hid in her room privately grieving for a few days, even falling ill.

But every time she went downstairs to eat with her family, she wore a smile, her tone relaxed, as if nothing had happened.

Even when she was sick, she took some medicine to look better, not letting her family notice.

Si Yihuan was a bit worried, cautiously asked her twice, seeing her relaxed answers, thought she had already let go of her knots.

That midnight, Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but start crying again. She didn’t want to become a weak woman, but to forget someone she loved so deeply, how could it be so easy?

Afraid of waking the child, she simply hid in the Space to cry. Unexpectedly, shortly after, the air on one side of the Space twitched, and Fen Cheng appeared in the Space again.

”Didn’t you promise not to come in without my consent?” Bai Ruozhu hurried to wipe her tears, angrily questioning.

Fen Cheng stared at her, silent for a long time before sighing heavily, ”You’re crying so loudly, I can’t sleep at all.”

Bai Ruozhu felt a bit embarrassed, could he hear her crying in the Space? She didn’t want anyone to see her tears, no matter who it was.

Seeing her not speaking, Fen Cheng said irritably, ”Isn’t it just an unfaithful man? It’s no big deal, you deserve better, and if worse comes to worst, I’ll take care of you in the future!”

Bai Ruozhu was stunned, took quite a while to regain her composure, ”I don’t need anyone’s comfort, I won’t cry anymore, you go rest.”

”I’m serious.” He said with a stern face.

”No need to comfort people like this, do you want to adopt me as a daughter or granddaughter with your age?” Bai Ruozhu averted her gaze, suddenly a bit scared, Fen Cheng seemed really serious.

Fen Cheng’s face stiffened, his heart aching dully, he was at the grandfather’s age.

”What’s wrong with being over a hundred, as long as my mindset is not old, and at least I can live another fifty years, won’t even age in appearance, how am I worse than that heartless husband of yours?” Fen Cheng said a bit sulkily.

Speaking of Jiang Yichun, Bai Ruozhu’s heart ached again. She took a deep breath, ”Fen Cheng, this joke isn’t funny at all, I don’t feel like joking, I’m going to rest, you suit yourself.”

With that, she left the Space, lying on the bed fully clothed.

Her heart was more chaotic now, Fen Cheng was really stirring things up.

The next morning, Jiao Ling came to find her early, talking about the wedding wine ceremony held by the Third Elder and Jiao Yunyun.

Bai Ruozhu forced herself to be spirited, trying to lift her mood, after all, grandma finding her own happiness was a great event, she should be happy for them.

”Aunt, you make the call on what needs to be done, whatever we need, we can go out and buy.” She said with a smile. Now, Chief Su did not object to everyone going out, only that recently the Quanrong Clan had ambushed outside the gate, so many people did not intend to go out now.

”Alright, when we go out, we should call more people, safety in numbers.” Jiao Ling said with a smile, ”I’ll call Fen Jiu and Jizhi, Lanlan and Bi Tao, and my senior sisters also want to go out.”

”I’ll take all my subordinates with me, that way we won’t be afraid.” Bai Ruozhu said.

”Good, let’s settle this this way, I’ll draft a shopping list.” Jiao Ling left excitedly.

Bai Ruozhu thought about Bi Tao and Sun Xu, not knowing how Bi Tao was doing now.

Just when Dengdeng wanted to go out for a walk, she took Little Dengdeng’s hand and headed to Bi Tao’s house.

Unexpectedly, Bi Tao wasn’t home, Wu Wu said with a worried face, ”Bi Tao went to the Sun Family, Ruozhu, you’re two years older than her, if you can, please help Aunt persuade her, she’s still young.”

Seeing Wu Wu’s eyes redden, Bai Ruozhu immediately thought of her own mother and quickly said, ”Don’t worry Aunt Wu, Bi Tao will understand. I’ll have a good talk with her later.”

”Good, good, thank you.” Wu Wu sniffed her nose.

Bai Ruozhu took Dengdeng to the Sun Family, and upon entering saw Bi Tao helping Sun Xu’s mom air bedding, the two of them chatting and laughing, seemingly having laid down their worries.

Bi Tao smiled at Bai Ruozhu, ”You’re here to find me?”

”Yes, just strolling around, heard you were here, so I came to see.” Bai Ruozhu replied.

Sun Xu’s mom finished airing the bedding, smiled and said, ”You chat, I’ll go make some tea.”

”Auntie, no need to trouble yourself, I’m just about to leave, I’ll come see you another time.” Bi Tao waved goodbye to Sun Xu’s mother with a smile.

Sun Xu’s mom saw the two of them to the Main Gate, then turned back inside.

”Was it my mom who told you to persuade me?” Bi Tao asked with a smile.

”You know your mom’s feelings well, so why make her worry?” Bai Ruozhu countered.

”I’m not crying all the time, it’s only right to keep Aunt Sun company. She’s just overthinking, afraid I won’t be willing to marry.” Bi Tao sighed and continued, ”I had a dream that day, dreamt of Sun Xu. He said if I kept being sad for him, he wouldn’t be able to reincarnate peacefully and would suffer in the Underworld every day.”

”I told Aunt Sun about this dream, and we both thought it through. For Sun Xu to reincarnate soon, we won’t be frowning all the time. As for getting married, I don’t want to think about it now. If you were me, could you move on so quickly? I understand my mom’s feelings, but it makes me uncomfortable.”

Bai Ruozhu thought of Fen Cheng’s confession, she also felt uncomfortable at that time, even a bit angry, so she thought she could understand Bi Tao.

So she patted Bi Tao’s shoulder and said, ”Alright, I won’t say anything, as long as you’re happy, let’s talk about the future when it comes.”

Bi Tao laughed, reaching out to touch Little Dengdeng’s face next to Bai Ruozhu, ”Seeing your son so cute, of course, I want to have one myself in the future, how could I not get married?”

Little Dengdeng wrinkled his nose, dodging her hand, and puffed his cheeks, ”Touching my face on the first meeting, definitely a weird auntie.”

Bai Ruozhu’s mouth twitched, she had previously taught Little Dengdeng about safety, telling him not to let strangers touch him, those who would touch him right away on the first meeting were surely weird aunties and uncles, he must stay far away.
