Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 741: Chapter 743: Whose Aunt? Throw Her Out!

That night, after the child had gone to sleep, Bai Ruozhu traced circles on his chest after their intimate exchange. She asked, ”What if the Emperor or Princess Diao Bin insists? You don’t seem worried. Do you planning on just going with the flow? Let me tell you, I’ve mentioned it before. I’m not used to sharing my husband with others. If that day ever comes, I will take Dengdeng and escape to the ends of the earth, leaving you without any involvement.”

Jiang Yichun grabbed her hand suddenly, his voice somewhat hoarse, ”Stop fidgeting, or I’ll take care of you right now!” He playfully patted her butt, ”You’ve been spoiled to the point where you don’t believe in your husband anymore? You even know how to draw boundaries now? You’re my wife for the rest of your life, my child’s mother. No one can replace you, and you can’t go anywhere. You’re only allowed to stay by my side!”

Bai Ruozhu’s lips curved gently upwards, though her face flushed a bit because of the playful smack.

Seeing her shy expression, a playful itch crept again into Jiang Yichun’s heart. He immediately rolled her onto her back...

The next morning, before Jiang Yichun could leave the house for some errands, Bai Ruozhu pulled him aside and handed him ten hundred-tael silver notes.

”Here’s a reward for you, brother. Spend it freely.” Bai Ruozhu giggled, looking like a mischievous woman.

Jiang Yichun’s face darkened. He pushed the money back, saying, ”I don’t lack money.”

Only then did Bai Ruozhu speak seriously, ”Unlike Beiyu City, the capital has more expenses and more social obligations. You earned this money as seed money, so use it.”

Jiang Yichun still refused. He said, ”I’ve been making some business profits, so money isn’t really an issue. After a while, I will have to give the money to you for management.”

After he said that, he stopped speaking and winked at Bai Ruozhu, ”I’ll come back early tonight. You wait for me.”

Bai Ruozhu, irritated, picked up an embroidered shoe and threw it at him, ”Bastard, unrestrained creature!” Of course, the last sentence was muttered very low-key.

Jiang Yichun happily left the house, while Bai Ruozhu continued to write and scribble.

In the afternoon, after feeding Dengdeng, there was a knock on the door. She let the caller in, and it was Sui Ge, who had once questioned her. He was a bit of a straightforward character.

”Miss Bai,” Sui Ge respectfully bowed, and while he hadn’t completely accepted Bai Ruozhu, he was the type to say upfront if he disagreed, but wouldn’t bother her behind her back.

”No need for formalities. I summoned you today to discuss opening Hua Xiangrong Weaving Pavilion in the capital. Are you willing to take responsibility for this matter?” Bai Ruozhu directly asked.

Sui Ge widened his eyes, disbelief in his gaze. ”Miss Bai, are you serious?”

Bai Ruozhu laughed in response. ”Am I the type to joke around?”

”Thank you for your trust, Miss Bai. I promise to do this job diligently!” Sui Ge confirmed he wasn’t mistaken and thanked her with joy.

Sui Ge, though slightly blunt, was very loyal, which was why Bai Ruozhu chose him to handle the pavilion matters. She gave him instructions before letting him leave to prepare.

She continued to ponder the Commerce Association proposal that her mentor had suggested, and a little while later someone outside announced that Mrs. Jiang was requesting an audience.

Bai Ruozhu tensed slightly. Mrs. Jiang? From Elder Jiang Ge’s family?

”I don’t know who Mrs. Jiang is. Tell her I am not latter. Though it looks like she’s here to visit, I am not up for entertaining. She can come another day.” Bai Ruozhu instructed.

The attendant from the Commerce Association conveyed the message. However, before he got far, Mrs. Jiang aggressively made her way in.

”Mrs. Jiang, Miss Bai is not entertaining guests. Please go back.” The attendant hurriedly advised.

Mrs. Jiang pushed him aside and said, ”Since when does an elder need the approval of the younger generation to meet them? Is this how your Association does business? Or does the Association meddle in personal affairs now?”

Seeing her dark guards ready to intervene, Bai Ruozhu stopped them with a wave. She was curious about the arrogant Mrs. Jiang. It would be good to see what the Jiang family was like.

”So, you are the woman Jiang Yichun casually married?” Mrs. Jiang was aggressive as soon as she entered the room, asking Bai Ruozhu without any reservations.

Bai Ruozhu looked at her calmly and asked, ”Who are you? You have no manners or etiquette. This is my first time seeing someone like you since coming to the capital.”

Annoyed, Mrs. Jiang responded, ”Don’t play games with me. I am your elder. There is no need for formalities when reprimanding you. Marriage is a serious matter that requires the command of the parents. Jiang Yichun bringing home a wild woman randomly is unacceptable. I’m telling you; our Jiang Family does not acknowledge you!”

Wild woman? Bai Ruozhu sneered.

”Jiang Family? Which Jiang Family? When did my husband have an elder? All I know is that he is an orphan and he never mentioned an aunt. Who are you again?” Bai Ruozhu spoke calmly.

Mrs. Jiang stamped her foot and said, ”I’m the wife of Elder Jiang Ge of the Jiang Family, which makes me Jiang Yichun’s great aunt. So do you agree now that I am your elder?”

Bai Ruozhu laughed, ”I’ve never heard of Elder Jiang Ge. But I do know that the Jiang family must be a family of scholars. It’s strange to have a woman like you who doesn’t understand the rules and etiquette. Moreover, I don’t know any Jiang Family, and I don’t know you. My husband also doesn’t have a great aunt. Please leave.”

”You wicked woman! Wait for Jiang Family to divorce you!” Mrs. Jiang started to scream.

Bai Ruozhu made a gesture and said, ”There is a mad dog in the yard. Drive her out, so she won’t bite someone in her madness.”

The dark guards, upon receiving the order, immediately grabbed Mrs. Jiang and threw her out the main gate.

Mrs. Jiang didn’t expect Bai Ruozhu to act so quickly. And before she registered the guards who suddenly appeared from the shadows, she was thrown out. She landed on her butt, yelling out loudly in response. The location of the Commerce Association’s mansion was great, and many passers-by immediately gathered to watch the commotion.

”You wicked Bai Ruozhu, I won’t let this go!” Mrs. Jiang shouted angrily. Her hairpiece was askew, and a couple of her pearl hairpins had fallen off. She indeed looked crazy.

Bai Ruozhu played with Dengdeng in the yard, whispering to him, ”Baby, did you see that? Don’t ever act like that woman, yelling and screaming. It’s so embarrassing.”

Dengdeng flailed his little arms and made baby noises, seemingly responding to her words.

Bai Ruozhu listened to Mrs. Jiang’s curses and for the rest of her tirade, ”elder” was never mentioned again. The corners of Bai Ruozhu’s mouth curved upwards in triumph.
