The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Carson Flores was stunned.

Nereida Nash!

The ordinary-looking woman who served him for such a long time turned out to be Nereida Nash, one of the Three Great Goddesses of the North Sea, the Nereida Fairy of Immortal Gathering Island!

No wonder Zephyra said the other flower maidens could be redeemed, but not Zorvyn Harrison!

Nereida Nash could be considered the Sect-Defending Treasure of Immortal Gathering Island, her beauty rivaling that of powerful magical treasures!

Her presence could attract countless cultivators to visit, or even stay and help Immortal Gathering Island explore new worlds because of her.

No wonder Zephyra said she would apply, and Avidan Hartman refused without hesitation.

He had sneaked the Goddess of Immortal Gathering Island away!

Carson Flores felt a chill on his scalp—this was no small trouble!

There was no need to think; once Immortal Gathering Island knew of this, they would surely find a way to track Nereida Nash’s whereabouts, and they undoubtedly had methods!

Previously, didn’t Raelith Rhodes come to Immortal Gathering Island to use divination to track down Niall Sinclair’s whereabouts?

Thinking of this, Carson quickly asked, ”Nereida, let’s skip other topics for now. Do you have any marks or the like on you that would allow others to trace your whereabouts?”

Nereida Nash shook her head, ”No, if I did, escaping would have no meaning.”

Carson breathed a sigh of relief, but asked again, ”Can you be sure?”

Nereida Nash, being asked again by Carson, became less confident, ”I really haven’t found anything. Perhaps you guys could check for me?”

Carson just raised his hand but stopped, turning to look at Nerisse Blaine, ”Fairy Blaine, could you help her check?”

Nerisse Blaine nodded, her expression turning serious.

Nerisse Blaine placed her hand on Nereida Nash, her Divine Sense enveloping her, checking carefully bit by bit.

Nereida Nash opened her mind, not resisting at all, allowing Nerisse to examine her.

After checking thoroughly, Nerisse Blaine furrowed her brows, ”I found nothing, but...”

Carson watched her hesitate, feeling a sinking feeling, and asked, ”But what?”

Nerisse glanced at the anxious Nereida Nash, ”I found no issues, but I have a feeling there is something wrong with her due to my cultivation technique, my intuition is particularly strong in many matters...”

Carson frowned, speaking in a deep voice, ”Better to believe it exists than not, Nereida, my Pagoda can block all tracking and sensing, I suggest you return to the Pagoda first and then consider your next move.”

Nereida Nash agreed without hesitation, ”I’ll listen to you.”

As Carson was about to summon the Ethereal Pagoda, the air ahead rippled like waves, and a person stepped out directly from the distortion, floating midair, casting a cold smile at the three below.

”Fine food and wine, quite enjoyed, huh?”

Avidan Hartman!

Carson’s heart sank, something indeed was wrong with Nereida Nash!

This couldn’t be blamed on Nereida Nash since even with Nerisse Blaine’s careful examination, nothing was found. But in truth, Nerisse Blaine’s intuition was correct, and something indeed was amiss with Nereida Nash.

Previously, while Nereida Nash was in the Ethereal Pagoda, Avidan Hartman didn’t catch up. Yet, once she was outside, he did, explaining everything.

Nereida Nash’s face turned pale, she bit her lip and stepped forward, speaking loudly, ”I chose to escape on my own, it has nothing to do with them, Island Master, I’ll go back with you, I plead with you to spare them, I’m willing to accept any punishment.”

Avidan Hartman glanced at Nereida Nash, speaking coolly, ”Revealing your true self to him shows you fully trust him, perhaps even harbor feelings.”

Nereida Nash’s face changed again, ”No, I only revealed myself to explain why I couldn’t redeem myself with Points...”

Avidan Hartman spoke coldly, ”We’ll discuss your actions upon returning. Punishment awaits, though you need not rush.”

Avidan Hartman’s gaze fell on Nerisse Blaine, ”Fairy Blaine, did you have a hand in this?”

”She didn’t participate.”

Carson answered before Nerisse Blaine could, ”Taking Nereida Nash, no, taking Zorvyn Harrison was my doing alone. Originally, I thought she was just an insignificant maiden, so I took her away. However, I didn’t expect her to be Nereida Nash.”

Nerisse Blaine furrowed her brows and was about to speak, but Carson glanced back at her, giving her a stern look.

”This is not something you should intervene in, don’t cause trouble for your Sect, I can handle this.”

Nerisse Blaine heard Carson’s voice in her mind, she pursed her lips and spoke, ”I indeed knew nothing prior, otherwise I would have advised him to reconsider.”

Avidan Hartman nodded, ”That’s good, otherwise I might have had to ask the Separation Sea Sect for an explanation.”

Since Avidan Hartman had appeared, Carson instead relaxed, ”Island Master, forcing someone to stay against their will serves no one, since she doesn’t wish to remain, why force her? She has contributed greatly to Immortal Gathering Island, hasn’t she repaid you for your nurturing? Why not show benevolence and allow her freedom?”

Avidan Hartman looked at Carson, suddenly bursting into laughter, ”An old saying goes, ’A hero’s downfall comes from beauty,’ and you, with such potential, getting lost over a woman, committing such acts, it truly ruins your future. Pity, having just learned the Primeval Myriad Sword Art, it’s all wasted, truly wasted.”
