The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2212: Chapter 2212: Your Master Is Proud of You!

Spencer Steele stood atop the giant cauldron, the mountain wind brushed past, her hair lightly dancing in the breeze. She exhaled the breath she had been holding for so long, looked at the two people in front of her, and a smile appeared on her face.

Success!

Although she didn’t get first place, the third rank was enough to make her satisfied.

She had hoped to stand out in this contest and gain the immediate attention of the Myriad Immortals Palace, which would give her more influence in the future, perhaps a higher position, greater power, and better protection for her family. But the first step now was to pass the assessment.

Among the batch of challengers participating in the assessment were many talented individuals, and being the third to pass indicated that she was not inferior to them!

This added much confidence to Spencer Steele’s originally quite anxious heart.

As she gazed at the surging crowd below and felt the countless intense gazes upon her, Spencer suddenly felt something, turned her head, and her eyes fell on a particular spot in the crowd.

Selah Ellison Venerable One was holding Carson Flores’s arm, looking at her with surprise, while Carson also gazed at her with a gentle smile on his face.

Spencer Steele’s heart skipped a beat, instantly feeling a sense of nervousness akin to a startled deer.

Oh no!

Master and mistress have seen me!

I signed up without telling them, will they blame me, think I want to leave them by secretly trying to go away?

Spencer Steele inexplicably clenched her fists, and her body momentarily tensed.

She anxiously met her master’s gaze, their eyes intersecting in the air.

Spencer Steele watched Carson Flores smile and nod at her, raising his hand, clapping a few times.

Huh?

Spencer Steele was quite surprised, is Master applauding and cheering for me?

He’s smiling!

He doesn’t blame me for keeping this from him?

Thinking of Master’s gentle, forgiving nature, Spencer Steele instantly relaxed. With such a good person as Master, surely, he wouldn’t blame her, right?

Third place shouldn’t be considered a disgrace to Master.

Achieving first would be even better!

The inheritance I received is a great fortune, even though lacking the illustrious background of these people, my inheritance is definitely not inferior to theirs!

Perhaps what I’m missing are the cultivation resources. Once I enter the Myriad Immortals Palace and perform outstandingly, why should I fear lacking cultivation resources?

Even though I don’t cultivate Myriad Immortals Palace’s technique, I can still grow rapidly!

Master is going to establish a cave mansion, and the resources needed for everyone’s cultivation in the future won’t be a small amount; as a disciple, I can’t just sponge off him!

Joining the Myriad Immortals Palace means reducing the expenditure of one person’s cultivation resources, doesn’t it?

Soon, more contestants passed the assessment, most of them well-known talents in certain areas, but here, facing strong opponents, their glory was overshadowed.

Time flowed, and as the clock that signaled the time limit rang through the heavens and earth, the climbers of the rankings smiled, whereas those who faltered halfway wore expressions of dissatisfaction.

The high-ranking officials supervising the assessment from Myriad Immortals Palace personally counted all the successful challengers and recorded their names, finally calculating the number.

One hundred eighty-two people.

Out of thousands of participants, less than two hundred passed; the passing rate was below 5%!

An elder with a celestial demeanor stood before everyone, smiled, and said, ”Congratulations on passing our assessment. Next, you will follow us back to the Myriad Immortals Palace and officially join the Myriad Immortals Palace, becoming one of us.”

”You will have ten days of vacation to handle your personal affairs. After ten days, we will depart for the Myriad Immortals Palace.”

All cultivators who passed the assessment were overjoyed, expecting a third round of assessment, but apart from the life-preserving preliminary round, there was only one assessment round, directly determining the outcome.

All teams disbanded, and everyone left the All Living Beings Cauldron to share their joy with family and friends.

Spencer Steele returned to Carson Flores, her demeanor slightly cautious: ”Master...”

Carson smiled, ”Why are you being so cautious, afraid I’ll scold you.”

Spencer Steele softly said, ”Disciple registered without informing Master...”

Carson interrupted Spencer Steele’s apology, smiling, ”Well done, Master is proud of you!”

Spencer Steele’s eyes lit up, ”Master, you don’t blame me?”

Carson laughed, ”You have a better place to develop, why would I blame you, only feel happy for you. Besides, I understand your thoughts very well. This was also your way showing your care for Master; Master is very pleased.”

Spencer Steele’s eyes reddened, indeed, Master is always supportive!

”Master, I will work hard and not disgrace you!”

Carson teased, ”Master’s not as impressive as you, doesn’t really have much face; you shouldn’t worry, just do what you want to do, ensure your safety, everything else is unimportant.”

Spencer Steele crisply responded, ”Thank you, Master. When Master’s and Mistress’s new place is settled, do send me a letter telling me the details. I’ll come visit you when I have time.”

Carson readily agreed, ”Of course, since that would be your home too, I’ll definitely tell you the location.”
