The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2053: Chapter 2053: If You’ve Got the Guts, Come In

Sergio Wilkins hovered in mid-air, a murderous intent blazing in his eyes as he looked at the celestial palace ahead.

He saw Carson Flores.

Instinctively, he clenched his fist and punched forward.

This punch was earth-shattering, yet Carson Flores remained unmoved because there was a thick barrier in front of him.

Sergio Wilkins’ punch struck the barrier, causing a minor tremor, but it did not shatter.

”Oh, quite the strength there! The barrier is shaking. Put in a bit more effort, and maybe the barrier will break,”

Carson Flores stood behind the barrier, smiling as he mocked Sergio Wilkins.

Sergio Wilkins coldly stared at Carson Flores, ”Another incarnation?”

”What else?”

Carson Flores admitted with ease, ”You are a Great Land Sovereign in the Second Realm. To kill me would be as simple as moving a finger. If I were to face you with my real body, wouldn’t that be seeking my own death?”

Sergio Wilkins sneered, ”Are you planning to hide behind this tortoise shell forever?”

Carson Flores laughed, ”What else can I do? You can’t expect me to come out and duel with a Great Land Sovereign, right? You’re so powerful. Why not exert some strength and break this barrier? Who could stop you then?”

Watching Carson Flores teasing him, Sergio Wilkins felt the urge to break his teeth in frustration.

The Star Domain Flying Boat had powerful Spirit Stone Cannons, designed specifically to deal with the Mountain Protection Array of Immortal Cultivation Sects. Though it consumed an incredible amount, its power was astonishing, able to shatter any barrier with one shot.

As long as there was a Star Domain Flying Boat, breaking the celestial palace’s barrier would be an easy task. Unfortunately, the Star Domain Flying Boat was sabotaged by Carson Flores, its core components, and Spirit Stone Cannon removed, leaving just a shell behind.

Unable to fly, let alone bombard the fortress.

Carson Flores’ gaze moved past Sergio Wilkins, landing on the scene behind him.

A few Celestial Horse Knights without their mounts and a hundred immortals, clearly coerced, looked despondent, as if facing execution rather than attacking a celestial palace.

”Such a small group, where did you gather these? To fill up the scene? It’s not impressive at all, far less imposing than the ten thousand strong squad before...”

Sergio Wilkins clenched his jaw tight; this kid’s mouth was truly infuriating!

Of course, Sergio Wilkins wanted to capture more immortals, but with the celestial palace spreading the truth about the Three Saints Sect’s defeat and their real intentions of capturing immortals, most Immortal Cultivation Sects along the way were left with only the old, weak, and disabled, as the others had all fled somewhere to hide.

Given such a premise, where would Sergio Wilkins find people to capture?

Even though he was a Great Land Fairy, he couldn’t conjure people out of thin air, could he?

There were indeed many low-level cultivators, but even if he captured tens of thousands of them, they were nothing but cannon fodder.

Sergio Wilkins coldly asked, ”Where is Nico Weaver? Since when did you, a Special Envoy, get to call the shots at the celestial palace?”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”You guessed it right; I do call the shots now at this celestial palace. I make the decisions here. What’s wrong, any complaints?”

Sergio Wilkins glanced around, snorting coldly, ”Two Great Land Sovereigns, and I’m alone. Why don’t they come out to kill me? This is your chance.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”You’re in the Second Realm; it’s said you can crush those in the First Realm. I fear death, so I’d rather stay behind here. If you have the skill, then break the barrier and come inside; then I might just have to fight you.”

Seeing Carson Flores so brazenly hiding behind the barrier, Sergio Wilkins was infuriated.

Although he knew Carson Flores’ strategy was perfectly sensible, he couldn’t help but be angry. After all, Carson Flores’ provocative demeanor was galling!

Sergio Wilkins had anticipated the current situation upon leading these people here, so with a wave of his hand, he commanded the hundred immortals behind him, ”Attack! Everyone, focus your attacks on a single point!”

The immortals compelled by Sergio Wilkins dared not disobey, and promptly unleashed their magical treasures, launching a fierce assault on the designated area.

The magical treasures of over a hundred immortals, concentrated on the small section of the barrier, caused it to tremble even more noticeably.

Carson Flores watched for a while and said, laughing, ”Seems it’s still a bit lacking. Why not have them continue to attack while you go capture more immortals?”

Sergio Wilkins ignored Carson Flores.

He realized that as long as he engaged him, Carson Flores could always mock him with sarcasm, driving him crazy.

Since that was the case, he simply stopped speaking!

Once I break through this barrier, let’s see what face you make then!
