The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1200: Chapter 1200: Would You Refuse If It Were Your Senior Sister?

”You, can you resist temptation?”

Carson Flores hadn’t expected the conversation to suddenly swing back to him, and he certainly hadn’t anticipated Cristopher Hopkins, the lofty Immortal, to tease him like this.

”If it were a stranger, I’m sure I could resist, but if it’s a woman I have a good impression of, I might not be able to resist, since I’m not exactly a paragon of virtue...”

Cristopher laughed lightly. ”You’re pretty candid.”

Carson replied honestly, ”I have two wives already, there’s no pretending for me.”

Cristopher asked, ”What about your senior sister? If she told you now that she’s fallen in love with you and wants to be with you, what would you do?”

Carson blinked, ”She wouldn’t do that.”

Cristopher chuckled, ”But this is a hypothetical, suppose she stripped naked and crawled into your blanket, could you resist then?”

Carson felt a bit embarrassed, because upon reflection, he realized that if such a situation really arose, he would probably succumb immediately.

After all, the relationship between him and his senior sister had always been somewhat ambiguous, transcending a purely fraternal bond.

”Fairy, are you intentionally making fun of me? I’m just a worldly man, how could I compare to those lofty Immortals who are free from earthly desires...”

Carson didn’t directly answer the question but essentially did so with his response.

Cristopher laughed lightly, ”No, just curious. After all, you are the Human Emperor, and there’s quite a difference between you and ordinary cultivators.”

Carson laughed, ”We’ve been together for so long now, Fairy, you know what I am. Just a commoner. This matter of being the Human Emperor, I don’t even know if it was just a fluke...”

Desiring to steer away from further teasing, Carson quickly changed the subject, ”Regarding the Spiritual Medicine trade fair, with so many people having seen Maggie Fitzgerald’s Primordial Spirit Incarnation, as soon as she sends someone down again, they will surely trace it back to me. We need to use this time to fully resurrect you.”

Cristopher stopped joking, ”It indeed needs to be done quickly, but after my recent battle with Maggie Fitzgerald, I’ve sustained some serious injuries and it’s not convenient for me to act now. Before my resurrection, more will have to depend on you.”

Carson nodded in understanding, ”Okay, you take the time to recover, and you don’t need to lift a finger unless I’m about to die.”

After a pause, Carson looked up into the sky, searching for the Ghost Tower that was impossible to see.

”Didn’t I capture two Immortal Slaves in the Ghost Tower? Is there a way to control them and have them fight for me? Though they may not be able to match a true Immortal, they should be enough for dealing with the Hollow Void.”

Cristopher responded, ”I will discuss this with Delarosa and inform you of the outcome.”

”Good!”

After finishing their discussion, Carson took out the Windroll Banner and released Delaney Hunter and Princeton Pearson.

Looking at Delaney’s charming and valiant face and thinking about Cristopher’s recent question, Carson suddenly felt an unusual emotion stir within him.

It was fortunate she couldn’t hear inside the Windroll Banner; otherwise, it would have been exceedingly awkward.

Delaney looked around, her expression somewhat tense, ”What just happened?”

Carson told Princeton to wait for him upfront, and then he explained the whole situation to Delaney.

Delaney was utterly shocked by what she heard.

An Immortal’s Primordial Spirit Incarnation descending to the Lower Realm, immortal battles, the sudden appearance of the Ghost Tower, the domineering suppression of the immortals of the Lower Realm...

Delaney stared at Carson in a daze, ”For tens of thousands of years, no one could even confirm the existence of immortals, and here you are, having come from the Mortal Realm, and in just a few years, even a battle between Immortals has erupted...”

Carson smiled, ”They’ve always been there; I’m just the one who chanced upon them.”

After expressing her admiration, Delaney briskly asked, ”Is there anything I can do?”

Carson answered, ”I’ll look for the Spiritual Medicine. I need you to rush back to Nutwood Mountain immediately, take everyone and move them elsewhere. Once another wave of Immortals descends and learns of my identity, they will surely come to Nutwood...”

Delaney’s gaze hardened as she promptly agreed, ”Alright, I’ll go back right now.”

Carson thought for a moment and instructed, ”It’s best to have the other Four Sects, even the ordinary residents, all leave. I’m worried that the tragedy that befell White Stone Mountain Cave Heaven might happen again.”

Delaney’s face shifted, ”Would they take their anger out on bystanders?”

Carson gave a wry smile, ”In their eyes, whether cultivators or ordinary people, we’re akin to ants. Put yourself in their shoes; if after a long journey to Nutwood Mountain you discover your target is not there, you’d be furious, and it would be a natural reaction to take that anger out on some insignificant beings, wouldn’t it?”

Delaney thought about it and nodded, ”Okay, the common people can move to the deserted Sky Yuan City, and the cultivators will have to play it by ear.”

”Okay, manage it as you see fit.”

After briefly discussing details for contacting each other later, Carson recorded two Jade Slips to be delivered to Heavenly Mountain and Rajevols, for Samantha Tate and Shirley Miller, respectively.

It had to be said that Carson’s ties to this world were becoming increasingly numerous.

”I’m starting to understand why those cultivators all choose to cut off their emotions and love; it’s to avoid leaving any vulnerabilities.”

Carson sighed, then immediately perked up and headed towards Princeton.

It was time to meet with some old friends from the Demon Race!
