The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1166: Chapter 1166: Eating Together, Living Together, Candid Foreseeing

”This thing swallows and releases once a month, and it releases quite a bit, enough for so many ancient giant beasts to absorb for a long time,” Carson Flores smiled as he looked at Delaney Hunter across from him. ”We’re close, why the formalities? Don’t be a stranger.”

Delaney Hunter pursed her lips, a playful look crossing her face, ”There are plenty of junior brothers and sisters in this world, but not many share opportunities like we do.”

Carson grinned, ”That just shows we have a better relationship. When I was weak, you didn’t despise me, and now that I am capable, of course, we should share the blessings.”

Delaney chuckled, ”From the very beginning, you’ve been the one helping me. It was you who defended White Wave City for me, earned the materials for the Refinement of the Sword Bone, and even protected me around the clock during the refinement process...”

Carson blinked, ”If it weren’t for you and Master covering for me back then, Francisco Smith would have probably killed me long ago. Even if he couldn’t do it himself, he would have had his seniors handle it. In the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, killing a nobody without any backing is all too easy.”

He paused and chuckled, ”Senior sister, we eat and live together, we’re completely honest with each other. If we were to start being calculative with each other, that would really be too much.”

Completely honest with each other?

Delaney’s pretty face suddenly reddened, remembering an embarrassing incident between her and Carson.

Seen completely naked!

If it had been anyone else, they probably would have been blown to smithereens, but Delaney was only shy, without a hint of anger.

Delaney glared at Carson, ”Keep blabbering, and I’ll hit you!”

Carson chortled, ”It’s you who’s being stranger to me, you’re forcing my hand.”

Delaney bit her lip, feeling both embarrassed and warmly touched at the same time.

This guy really treats me as his closest person.

”Alright, alright, I’ll just take advantage of you, and you’ll just have to suffer the consequences!”

Carson smiled faintly, ”You’re at the Late Phase of Transforming Spirit now. You’ll need to reach Great Perfection soon. The enemies we’ll face in the future are getting stronger, and some of them are unreasonably powerful.”

He paused slightly, his tone carrying a hint of concern, ”We might even face Immortals. Cristopher Hopkins Immortal’s enemies are not just one, but a whole nest of them, all Immortals...”

Delaney’s smile faded, and she spoke seriously, ”Since ancient times, Ascension to Immortality has never been easy. Since you’ve encountered Cristopher Hopkins Immortal and your fates are now bound, you’ve got to fight no matter what.”

Carson nodded, ”We need to consider the worst-case scenario. If Cristopher Hopkins Immortal’s presence by my side gets exposed, there’s no guarantee that Immortals won’t come to Nutwood for retribution. We need a contingency plan.”

Delaney frowned, ”Right, I’ll discuss this with Master again to make sure we have no worries in the future.”

Carson laughed, ”Anyway, there aren’t many of us; we could temporarily abandon Nutwood and move to a place unknown to others. Immortals are also human; they wouldn’t be able to find us.”

Delaney nodded, ”That’s a plan. Let’s see what Master has to say.”

During their conversation, the Metal Slab had already consumed all of the Immortal Spirit Qi. Carson picked it up, left the room, and it began to frantically absorb the dense nature’s spiritual energy surrounding them.

Although it made quite a commotion, it was behind Flying Waterfall Mountain Peak, Delaney’s residence, so naturally, there were no issues.

After it finished swallowing, Carson threw it back into the Space Ring and returned to the room.

The enclosed room was filled with rich Immortal Spirit Qi. Carson took out the Water-Fire Mirror and released a wisp of Spectral Elemental Fire.

The Spectral Elemental Fire, which had been listless, suddenly trembled when it was immersed in the Immortal Spirit Qi, and Carson felt it start to absorb the Immortal Spirit Qi.

Heh, this Immortal Spirit Qi really works wonders!

The Spectral Elemental Fire swallowed a fair amount of Immortal Spirit Qi in one go, noticeably growing larger, its dim white flames brightening by a shade.

After retrieving the Spectral Elemental Fire back into the Water-Fire Mirror, Carson also sat down cross-legged and began to cultivate.

Immortal Spirit Qi is at least a hundred times purer than Spiritual Energy, marking a qualitative change. Even a trace of Immortal Spirit Qi entering the body could make a noticeable difference, and its utility was not any less significant than the spiritual essence Carson had obtained before.

If Spiritual Energy was vegetables, Immortal Spirit Qi was like a big chunk of juicy, fatty meat; one bite was immensely satisfying and brought pleasure to both body and soul.

Carson and Delaney began their focused cultivation.

Time flew by quickly in cultivation, and four months passed in the blink of an eye.

Carson’s strength had improved by a small degree, reaching the Late Phase of Transforming Spirit, while Delaney reached Nascent Soul Great Perfection but was blocked by a bottleneck.

The Spectral Elemental Fire came out to swallow Immortal Spirit Qi every ten days or so. As it absorbed more Immortal Spirit Qi, it recovered a significant amount, and both its spirit and intelligence further improved.

Utilizing the Divine Flame Technique contract method, Carson finally succeeded in signing a contract with the Spectral Elemental Fire by employing its innate desire for Immortal Spirit Qi, much like taming a hawk. From then on, he no longer had to worry about the Spectral Elemental Fire escaping or being out of control.

Carson looked at the bouncing Spectral Elemental Fire floating in the air, full of anticipation.

Although it wasn’t strong enough yet, the potential for the future was exciting!
