Chapter 995: Chapter 995 We Are Destined to Be Just Friends

Sophia Roth stared at Carson Flores, who met her gaze calmly and without fear.

Carson Flores’s words were an undisguised threat, and the ”anyone” he spoke of naturally included Sophia Roth.

Sophia Roth could clearly hear the subtext in his words.

Carson Flores wasn’t afraid of her catching the implication, or rather, his words were intended for her ears in the first place.

After a long while, Sophia Roth suddenly said with a smile, ”Who would bully her? We’d rather protect her. Besides, even if it’s not for her sake, we’d consider your position. You are the direct disciple of Master Campbell and the holder of the Emperor Seal. Even though you are only at the Nascent Soul stage now, who can say for sure about the future?”

”Perhaps, the future you will be the new Human Emperor. Unless there is a matter of life and death enmity, who would want to offend you for no reason? Look, aren’t the Lam Family, Mysterious Moon Sect, and Taiyi Sect all actively courting your favor?”

Carson Flores cracked a slight smile, ”The Sect Master is too kind. The matter of the Human Emperor is too premature to discuss; however, even without the recognition of the Emperor Seal, my future is destined not to be a poor one.”

”Recently, the Three Devil Sect, under someone’s incitement, used the Ancient Evil Formation, ’Ten Thousand Spirits Blood Array,’ to attempt Refinement of my Nutwood Mountain’s Thousand Swords Sect underlings in Hollow City. Four hundred thousand lives were ruined in an instant.”

”The Sect Master of Thousand Swords Sect sought help from my mentor to uphold justice. Coincidentally, my mentor wasn’t present, so I infiltrated the Three Devil Sect alone. I discovered they were deceiving Loose Cultivators into joining under the pretense of accepting disciples but were actually preparing to Refine them all into Blood Pills.”

”I exposed them, and they sealed the Sect gates, preparing to kill me. The Sect Master at the Peak of Spirit Transformation stage, along with three initial and mid-stage Divinity Transformation and one initial Hollow Void Stage Supreme Elder, were all wiped out cleanly by me single-handedly.”

”Coming from the Mortal Realm, it has been only three years, but I believe that regardless of whether the Emperor Seal finally recognizes me, I can live very well on my own ability.”

Sophia Roth’s smile froze, and she looked at Carson Flores in shock, ”You alone? Killed a Hollow Void? Without relying on the Emperor Seal?”

Carson Flores said with a smile, ”The Emperor Seal wouldn’t lift a finger to help me with such trivial matters.”

Sophia Roth’s gaze was filled with shock. Could Carson Flores’s combat power really be so formidable?

A Nascent Soul killing a Hollow Void?

Thinking back to how Carson Flores had come out of the Sea of the Undead unscathed, and how he had flung away a mid-stage Divinity Transformation Liam Malone with a single punch, and shattered his Defense Treasure with two punches, Sophia Roth finally affirmed that it wasn’t because Liam Malone had been careless, but because his strength truly couldn’t match Carson Flores and he had been completely crushed!

Three years!

It had been only three years since he came from the Mortal Realm to the Barbarian Wilderness Realm, and he already possessed such strength. Give him a little more time, and once he entered the Hollow Void Stage, wouldn’t he be able to thrash other Hollow Void Stage cultivators, becoming an unmatched force in the Hollow Void Stage?

Initially, Sophia Roth didn’t pay much attention to Carson Flores, looking more to use him to eliminate Liam Malone and have Shirley Miller rise to power, benefiting her Mysterious Phoenix Sect openly and legitimately.

However, now faced with the assertive Carson Flores, she felt the pressure.

If one day she were to wrong Shirley Miller, Carson Flores’s sword would not hesitate to point at her, would it?

Sophia Roth, being the Sect Master of the Mysterious Phoenix Sect, felt an inexplicable pressure at this moment.

She had to admit that she felt threatened by Carson Flores.

He might not have the strength now, but what about in another three years?

Thirty years?

Sophia Roth took a deep breath and said with a smile, ”Carson Flores, you’ve hidden your capabilities quite deeply. But rest assured, with the relationship between you, me, and Mary Jimenez, we are destined to be friends, not enemies.”

Carson Flores returned a slight smile and gave a polite bow, his attitude humble, ”I’ve just killed Liam Malone; it’s not quite appropriate for me to visit Rajevols now, so I won’t go and see her. Please, Sect Master Sophia, take good care of her.”

Sophia Roth smiled gracefully and took the initiative to show goodwill, ”Alright, is there something you’d like me to pass along to Mary Jimenez?”

Carson Flores took out a Soulmirror Stone he had prepared earlier and handed it to Sophia Roth, ”Thanks for the trouble!”

”It’s no bother at all, don’t mention it, and you’re welcome to visit the Mysterious Phoenix Sect anytime.”

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Carson Flores took his leave.

Sophia Roth watched Carson Flores’s retreating figure, pondering for a long time before finally smiling leisurely.

Carson Flores being so monstrously talented was actually a good thing. As long as Shirley Miller remained in the Mysterious Phoenix Sect for one more day, that meant Carson Flores would be a powerful ally to the Mysterious Phoenix Sect.

If he truly became the Human Emperor one day, then Shirley Miller would be the wife of the Human Emperor. With that relationship, what could prevent the Mysterious Phoenix Sect from reaping benefits?

It seemed that her side needed to offer more sincerity as well. This young man might be youthful, but he was certainly clever, and mere trickery would not work on him.

On the open ground, the Flying Boats of various Great Sects were gradually setting off. Carson Flores glanced at the Flying Boat of the Geo Elemental Sect and a cold arc curled at the corner of his mouth.

He felt someone from that Flying Boat watching him.

Marshall Tate?

Thinking of tracking him to ambush him halfway?

Wishful thinking!

Carson Flores, swaggering confidently, leapt up, passed through the crowd, and landed directly on the Lam Family’s warship, grinning at Kash Lam.

”Hey, heading back to Misrds State, right? Mind if I hitch a ride...”
