Chapter 964: Chapter 964: Is Alchemy Really That Simple?

When Carson Flores had completely operated the basic eight methodologies, Killian Jaramillo was utterly dumbstruck.

Carson’s operation was meticulous and swift, flowing like clouds and water. Perhaps it was not absolutely perfect, but in terms of technique, he already matched her completely.

Killian Jaramillo couldn’t help but start to doubt her own life.

Was there really such a huge difference between people?

”Had you really never touched alchemy before?”

Carson chuckled, ”Yes, perhaps because I was originally a doctor in the Mortal Realm, I have a deeper understanding of the word ’steady’, so I find it easier to manage tasks.”

Killian Jaramillo replied with a bitter smile, ”I have nothing to say, honestly, teaching a genius like you is quite disheartening. The level you’re at now, I don’t know how much time I took to reach myself.”

Carson chuckled, ”That counts as your praise for me, so should I start on alchemy then?”

Killian Jaramillo nodded, ”You can, but first, you need to find your own exclusive Alchemy Furnace. Although a master alchemist does not necessarily need an exclusive Alchemy Furnace, only with your own Alchemy Furnace will you fully familiarize yourself with it through repeated practice, maximizing the potential to improve the success rate of your elixirs.”

Carson took out the Nine-Turn Alchemy Furnace: ”This should be Three Devil Sect’s Sect Master Jonathan Roth’s Alchemy Furnace, now mine, and I think its quality should not be bad.”

”Nine-Turn Alchemy Furnace!”

Killian Jaramillo exclaimed, her eyes shining, ”That is a top-tier among Alchemy Furnaces. Although not the topmost quality, it’s absolutely considered first-class, rare indeed. It seems like you made quite the profit this time.”

Carson chuckled, ”With that said, it seems a bit wrong not to acknowledge this...”

Carson pulled out a gorgeously decorated long whip and handed it to Killian Jaramillo.

”A quite impressive magical treasure, but not suitable for my use. I’ll give it to you.”

Killian Jaramillo quickly shook her hand, ”I was just joking, I didn’t really want anything.”

Carson chuckled as he placed the whip in Killian Jaramillo’s hands, ”Aren’t you guiding me in alchemy? Consider it my tuition. I did plunder a Sect, after all, and magical treasures were not few. Don’t be courteous with me.”

Killian Jaramillo reluctantly accepted, ”Thank you, actually what I told you are just the basics, you could casually ask any alchemy disciple, they would know, it’s nothing special. Besides, you even taught me a memory technique, very unique and effective, I’ve already taken advantage of you.”

Carson chuckled, ”This memory technique isn’t a secret in the Mortal Realm, anyone who wants to learn it has a way to do so. Now that I’ve got my Alchemy Furnace, what else do I need?”

Killian Jaramillo replied, ”The most indispensable thing for Alchemy is fire, you need a sufficiently high-quality Pill Fire, otherwise, if the fire is not powerful enough, or not pure enough, the elixirs produced will be of poor quality, and problems can easily arise due to the Pill Fire.”

Carson nodded, ”I read about that in the books, but sadly, those exotic fires are hard to find, elusive indeed.”

Killian Jaramillo briefly introduced, ”Yes, you’re right, they are elusive, but that’s what makes them precious. However, not all exotic fires are that hard to find. Earth Core Magma Fire is relatively common.”

”Although Earth Core Magma Fire isn’t the highest quality, it’s the easiest to obtain and is used by the majority of alchemists. As long as you are willing to spend Spirit Stones, even if it’s a bit pricey, buying a flame of Earth Core Magma Fire is not too difficult.”

Carson chuckled, ”It seems like I need to prepare an Alchemy Fire Ring, to avoid encountering special exotic fires in the future without a container to store them.”

An Alchemy Fire Ring is also a type of space Magic Artifact, specifically used to contain exotic fires, releasing them when needed and storing them otherwise, even allowing the user to control the exotic fire in combat.

Killian Jaramillo smiled, ”I can lend you my Earth Core Magma Fire for practice first.”

Carson nodded, ”Thank you!”

Killian Jaramillo laughed, ”Now I will demonstrate a few common elixir formulations for you. Once you practice and become fluent, you’ll be on your way and can then explore other Elixir Formulas on your own. If there’s anything you don’t understand, you can ask me.”

”Okay!”

After receiving hands-on guidance from Killian Jaramillo, Carson began to practice.

At the beginning, invariably, it was a series of furnace explosions, ruining one batch of materials after another.

Carson was unperturbed, focusing intently, analyzing and retrying the alchemy process.

Finally, after seven or eight failures, Carson produced his first batch of poorly looking elixirs.

It seemed Carson had found the right approach, his alchemy technique becoming increasingly skilled, the success rate of producing elixirs gradually improving, and the quality of the elixirs quickly enhancing as well.

This scene left Killian Jaramillo somewhat speechless.

Was alchemy such a simple matter?

From Carson’s decision to learn alchemy to producing elixirs of such caliber, how much time had passed?

Just over three months?

One day, while Carson was practicing alchemy, Finlay Murphy suddenly came to visit. He brought with him the earnings from the sales of Spirit Stones and also brought some unexpected news for Carson.

”Brother Chen, that senior Finlay Murphy you met in the Valley of Death has appeared again!”
