Chapter 962: Chapter 962: Don’t Blame Me for Being Strict with You

Ezekiel Roth fought Carson Flores, initially intending to crush him with sheer strength and later attempting to blow him up with the Myriad Spirit Blood Pearl. However, he failed on both accounts, as Carson Flores swiftly closed the distance and counter-killed him before Ezekiel Roth could even use the Thousand Mechanism Umbrella, inadvertently benefitting Carson Flores.

Carson Flores successively tested the various transformations of the item, feeling most satisfied with the cannon form. Isn’t this just like a high-caliber sniper rifle or, say, a rocket launcher?

While the power of the cannon form depended on the user’s strength, for Carson Flores, who came from the Mortal Realm, holding the cannon form of the Thousand Mechanism Umbrella evoked a long-lost sense of familiarity akin to holding a sniper rifle.

Not convinced?

Take a shot!

Besides, there was also a Jade Slip.

It detailed the construction and usage methods of the Ten Thousand Spirits Blood Array.

Carson Flores took a brief look and then casually crushed the Jade Slip.

It was just a copy, and besides, why would he keep such harmful things around?

There were also other magical treasures like Flying Swords, shields, various elixirs, but for Carson Flores, they were not deemed essential.

Magical treasures may be valuable, but being greedy doesn’t make for a good habit. In battle, there is no time to ponder which one of the hundreds of magical treasures you should use.

True powerhouses often only have a few strong magical treasures by their side. Some Sword Cultivators have but one sword; with one sword they defy countless spells, and members of the Demon Race often cultivate their life-bound magic treasures, immensely powerful and connected to their life essence.

Carson Flores planned to take advantage of his current bottleneck period to study and practice alchemy.

Back in the Mortal Realm, he was a doctor. Now in the Barbarian Wilderness Realm, his medical skills were of no use. However, mastering the Alchemy Dao could also heal and save people, and importantly, it could save himself in critical moments. That made it a solid skill to have.

Since he had acquired the Great Land Elixir Scripture, it would be a shame not to learn from it given the opportunity.

All books and cultivation techniques were kept. Carson Flores intended to create a place similar to the Scripture Pavilion on the Flying Waterfall Mountain Peak, where all disciples of the peak and even those from the other Four Sects could have access for study and learning, as a benefit he was offering to the disciples of the peak.

Leaving them to molder would be a waste; better to let the disciples who need them read and extract some value.

He decided to keep the useful items like magical treasures, elixirs, spiritual medicine, Artifact Refining materials, etc., and trade the rest for Spirit Stones.

Carson Flores asked around and found out that Situ Xiu was still at the Flying Waterfall Mountain Peak, and so he had him come over.

”I eradicated the Three Devil Sect before and plundered their sect. Deal with these things for me and exchange them for Spirit Stones...”

Situ Xiu was immediately shocked.

How many years had it been since Carson Flores joined the Nutwood Sect?

He joined in the Golden Core Initial Stage, and now he was capable of single-handedly vanquishing a sect on his own. It was well known that the Three Devil Sect had several Divinity Transformation cultivators, and rumors spoke of Hollow Void Realm powerhouses...

Situ Xiu took a cursory glance at the pile of treasures in the Void Ring and was immediately overwhelmed.

This was a fortune.

How many Spirit Stones could all this sell for!

”Brother Chen, there’s so much stuff, it might take some time...”

Carson Flores said with a smile, ”No rush, just take your time dealing with it. It’s of no use to me anyway. If I’m not around, you can give the Spirit Stones to my mother.”

”Understood!”

Carson Flores asked, ”What have you been busy with lately?”

Situ Xiu replied with a wry smile, ”Cultivating. I’m not like you; I’ve barely stepped into the Golden Core stage...”

Situ Xiu felt a complex mix of emotions. In such a short span of time, Carson Flores had left him so far behind that he couldn’t even see his shadow anymore. Flores was like an eagle soaring high in the sky, while he was like a toad wallowing in the mud, belonging to completely different worlds.

After Situ Xiu left, Carson Flores began studying alchemy.

Instead of rushing into alchemy, he started reading.

The Three Devil Sect, although not a large sect, was best at alchemy, and their treasury was filled with countless books and Jade Slips about the subject.

Once he started reading, Carson Flores immersed himself for three months.

After three months, his master had still not returned, so he made a trip to the Thousand Swords Sect.

”You want to learn alchemy?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Yes, the stronger one is, the more precious the elixirs required. If I learn it myself, I won’t need to rely on others. I am currently in a bottleneck with my cultivation; it’s fruitless labor. I might as well learn something else and wait for an opportunity.”

Killian Jaramillo was the Thousand Swords Sect’s most talented Alchemist, his skill in alchemy overshadowing many of the sect’s elders.

”Okay, what do you want to learn?”

Without hesitation, Carson Flores answered, ”The basics, a solid foundation.”

Killian Jaramillo’s eyes lit up slightly, ”Why do you say that?”

Carson Flores explained with a smile, ”A tower starts from the ground. Alchemy, a precise art, the more solid the foundation, the lower the chance of errors during concoction; consequently, the success rate of forming pills would naturally be high.”

”Once one principle is mastered, all other principles become clear. The more solid the basic skills, the faster one can handle advanced practices or unfamiliar elixir formulas later on.”

Killian Jaramillo praised him, ”You see things very clearly. Talent is needed for the Alchemy Dao, but a solid foundation is more crucial, ensuring steadfast performance. As long as the foundation is solid, even if one’s talent sets a cap on the peak one can attain, the quality of the elixirs produced at the same level will certainly be higher.”

Carson Flores nodded, ”That’s how I see it too. Even though I got many alchemy books from the Three Devil Sect, I think it’s best to have someone to give concrete guidance.”

Killian Jaramillo smiled faintly, ”If you want to learn, I’ll teach you with all I’ve got, but if you want a solid foundation, don’t blame me for being strict with you...”
