The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 749: Chapter 749: Want to Live, Kill Him_1

Not everyone can pull out several million Spirit Stones, like Isabel Reid, the elder of Myriad Phenomena Sect, who can’t even take out a hundred Spirit Stones from her possession.

The five million Spirit Stones were clearly prepared by Blake Gibbs as a reward for Fabian Vasquez, as well as the price for the Snow Dragon Leopard King. Unfortunately, he didn’t succeed in buying the beast, and now it falls into the hands of Carson Flores.

Carson took his time examining Fabian’s Space Ring once more.

As a black market merchant, Carson was filled with anticipation for the contents of Fabian’s Space Ring. After all, a merchant either carries money or goods with them, both of which ought to be valuable.

What if there was a nice magical treasure inside?

After a thorough check, Carson was utterly disappointed.

Apart from a Spirit Stone Card worth three million and a few magical treasures and biological items he used, there was nothing else—absolutely nothing!

Carson stored the Spirit Stone Card in his own Space Ring, with dissatisfaction in his voice, ”You’re supposed to be a black market merchant, and yet you only carry three million Spirit Stones. Don’t you find that embarrassing?”

Fabian pleaded, ”I was prepared to come here and stock up on goods. We merchants usually get items at much lower prices. Three million Spirit Stones can get a lot of goods. To avoid unnecessary trouble, we never carry anything that could cause issues. So apart from my own magical treasures, some Spirit Stones, and daily necessities, that’s all I need.”

”Mr. Flores, please spare me. I am willing to spend five million Spirit Stones to redeem my life.”

Carson blinked, five million Spirit Stones?

Now, that’s interesting!

Of the two people present, Fabian and Blake, Blake must die, for his status was different. If he didn’t die, he would bring significant trouble to Carson.

Moreover, he had attempted to kill Carson, had provoked him, and Carson had killed his beast and had taken his Beast Taming Bag. With things having reached this point, he definitely had to silence him completely.

As for Fabian, although he betrayed and harmed Carson, the nature of his actions was different. If he was willing to use Spirit Stones to redeem his life and offered enough, Carson wasn’t opposed to sparing him, after all, killing him would bring no benefits to Carson.

Carson chuckled, ”So your life is worth five million Spirit Stones; it seems it’s not so valuable after all.”

Fabian’s eyes lit up on hearing this.

Does he think the price is too low?

Then let’s negotiate further.

Fabian was not afraid of Carson quoting a high price. What he feared was Carson not giving him any chance to redeem himself.

Money can be earned back, but once a life is gone, everything is lost!

”Mr. Flores, name your price. How many Spirit Stones will it take for you to spare my life!”

Carson replied casually, ”I’m not greedy. Twenty million Spirit Stones will do, isn’t that very merciful?”

Fabian’s complexion turned pale. Twenty million Spirit Stones—that was a drastic demand!

Though his business was not small, it would take an unknown amount of time to earn twenty million Spirit Stones through his travels. This amount would nearly clean out his current assets.

This isn’t about spending twenty million on goods, it’s a pure loss!

With the three million confiscation by Carson added on, it totaled to a loss of twenty-three million— a tremendous sum!

”Mr. Flores, I don’t want to die, but twenty million Spirit Stones is too much. I can’t afford it. Even though I’m a businessman, all the running around really just earns me a hard living...”

Carson looked at Fabian and smiled, ”Can’t afford it?”

Fabian complained, ”I really can’t come up with that much. Maybe you could ask for less?”

Carson chuckled, ”Do you think I’m quoting outrageous prices just for you to bargain down? Fine, since you can’t come up with it, let’s not waste each other’s time. Josy, kill him!”

Fabian’s face turned ash-white in an instant, and he shouted reflexively, ”Alright, alright, alright! I agree, twenty million it is!”

Carson demanded coldly, ”How much time?”

Fabian, not daring to play any tricks, calculated seriously, ”Twenty million isn’t a small amount. I have to send people back to my hometown to have my son collect the money and bring it here. It’ll take at least eight days to go back and forth. I swear, Mr. Flores, I’m not lying, it really will take that much time...”

Carson stared at Fabian for a long while, then suddenly laughed, ”Alright, eight days it is. Anyway, I’ve only found one Beast Taming Bag so far, and I need another. So, you see, I’ll probably need your help to figure out a way. Don’t worry, this time I’ll buy it myself, now that I should have enough Spirit Stones, right?”

You’ve outright taken eight million Spirit Stones, how could it not be enough?

A pang of pain went through Fabian’s heart, but he responded quickly, ”Alright. Whatever you need me to do, Mr. Flores, I’ll do it. I’ll listen to everything Mr. Flores says.”

”Josy, let the two of them go.”

Josy released the two men, and Carson casually threw a dagger in front of Fabian, then picked up a Soulmirror Stone.

”If you want to live, kill Blake Gibbs.”

”Either you kill him and live, or you die alongside him.”

”I’m giving you three minutes.”

After Carson finished speaking, he closed his mouth. The Soulmirror Stone began to float up, flickering with light, starting to record the scene before it.

Fabian immediately understood Carson’s intention.

Carson wanted to release him, but he was worried about Fabian betraying him later and reporting to the Immortal Beast Sect. Hence, Carson wanted Fabian to kill Blake himself and leave behind evidence.

If Fabian reported him, Carson would reveal the evidence, and then Fabian wouldn’t escape either.

Fabian gripped the dagger firmly.

Blake panicked and yelled, ”Fabian, if you dare kill me, my master will skin you alive!”

Fabian did not waste any words, gripped the dagger tightly, and, despite the pain from his injuries, viciously lunged at Blake.
