The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 737: Chapter 737 This little bastard!_1

After saying that phrase, Carson Flores wanted to smack himself in the face.

Wasn’t this the very definition of ”revealing where you hid your treasure without being asked”?

”Cough cough, I’ll go out first.”

Carson Flores stood up, bowed slightly, then hurriedly rushed out of the house with his waist bent over.

Delaney Hunter’s face turned crimson. She turned to glance at Carson Flores and, seeing his slightly awkward posture, her face grew even redder.

The little rascal!

He actually had a reaction...

Hmph!

Delaney Hunter cursed Carson Flores in her heart, but her own thoughts became increasingly chaotic.

It was already somewhat embarrassing just with the skin-on-skin contact, and now her entire body had been seen. It was a complete disaster; she didn’t know how she would face him in the future.

Carson Flores stood outside the courtyard, took a few deep breaths, and finally straightened himself up, though his face was still burning hot.

This accident had been too sudden.

The awkwardness that followed was inevitable, but he could only act as if nothing had happened and bury this incident deep in his heart.

Before long, a neatly dressed Delaney Hunter walked out of the room. Seeing Carson Flores standing outside, her eyes showed a moment of panic, which she quickly suppressed to appear calm.

”I have achieved the Sword Bone Great Achievement in my entire body. I appreciate all your hard work over the past three months.”

Carson Flores kept his head low, not daring to look into Delaney Hunter’s eyes. ”It wasn’t hard work. Aside from the time spent treating you, I have been cultivating with the Jade Spirit Pill. In these three months, I truly feel I’ve made a lot of progress.”

Delaney Hunter chuckled lightly, ”Don’t be so modest. I can’t tell you how many times there were issues with my bones. If it weren’t for your timely treatments, I would have had to stop halfway to recover. That would not only prolong the Sword Bone cultivation process, but it would probably take years to recover. Most importantly, if I didn’t complete the cultivation in one go, it would leave many hidden dangers, so you really did me a huge favor.”

Listening to Delaney Hunter’s natural voice, Carson Flores felt some of the awkwardness inside him dissipate, and he looked up smiling, ”We’re fellow apprentice siblings, our own people. Helping each other is what we do, so let’s not thank each other back and forth.”

Delaney Hunter nodded, ”Alright, I won’t stand on ceremony with you. Since you’ve already stayed for three months, just accompany me on one more trip.”

Carson Flores asked curiously, ”Where to?”

Delaney Hunter replied with a smile, ”We need to find a desolate wilderness to prepare for the Heavenly Tribulation and advance to Divinity Transformation.”

Carson Flores’s eyes widened with excitement, ”Sister, you’ve just completed the Sword Bone refinement and you can advance already?”

Delaney Hunter smiled, ”I could have advanced a while ago, but I kept holding myself back for the sake of refining the Sword Bone, waiting for this very day. Now that I have achieved the Sword Bone Great Achievement, I don’t have to hold back anymore. You know, it’s uncomfortable to suppress the urge to advance, kind of like needing to pee but holding it in, and not going to the bathroom... it’s actually quite distressing...”

Carson Flores burst into laughter, ”Sister, your analogy is so vivid, I instantly understood the essence of it.”

Delaney Hunter said with a smile, ”Rest for a day, and we’ll head into the wilderness tomorrow.”

”Alright!”

Delaney Hunter turned and left, and Carson Flores let out a long sigh of relief.

Hopefully, that awkward situation would be considered over now.

He had never witnessed a Heavenly Tribulation before, and now he could see one for himself, which would provide him with some early experience since he was on the path of Cultivation of Sword Bone too.

Once a cultivator enters the Nascent Soul Stage, every subsequent major advancement involves facing a Heavenly Tribulation. Success means rebirth and advancement, with increased strength and extended life. On the other hand, failing often leads to complete obliteration and death, with the few exceptionally strong individuals suffering grievously, getting severely injured or crippled, with a decline in their cultivation realm—a truly dire fate.

Carson Flores returned to his place, took out the Logan Moss egg, and as usual, sprayed it with a burst of fire and drizzled fresh blood over the shell for it to absorb.

In the past three months, Carson Flores had kept breathing fire onto the shell, and the young chick inside crazily absorbed the flames, its breathing growing more and more robust, faintly resonating with the sounds of wind and thunder.

He could feel that it was getting closer to emerging into the world.

After putting away the Logan Moss egg, Carson Flores began to ponder about the future. Once Delaney Hunter passed the Heavenly Tribulation and advanced to Divinity Transformation, he would have to start his own journey of refining Sword Bone.

The Jaramillo Family had delivered thirty pieces of Dark Iron Raven Essence to him. Over these three months, the Park Family’s caravans had run about, spending Twenty Million Spirit Stones to acquire forty pieces of Dark Iron Raven Essence and some additional necessary medicines for Carson Flores. That meant he now had seventy pieces of Dark Iron Raven Essence to refine seventy bones into Sword Bones.

Carson Flores did the math: there were sixty-four bones in the upper limbs, and since he had already refined four, he lacked sixty more. So he decided to complete the upper limbs first and save the rest until he had enough resources to do it all at once.

Sixty bones, with the Life Essence Pearl, even if it was one per day, that would need at least two more months. Adding the previous three months, wow, half a year had just flown by.

Then, considering the three months he spent in seclusion and the time in the Secret Realm, before he knew it, nearly a year had passed in the Cultivation Realm!

The separation from Shirley Miller and Samantha Tate was even longer, but they were likely busy with their cultivation anyway, so there was no need to rush.

Mount Kahdas was a must-visit.

After refining the upper limb Sword Bones, he would go!
