The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 740: Chapter 740: I Can Cling to Senior Sister’s Thigh Now_1

Delaney Hunter nodded, her eyes revealing an undisguised excitement, along with a hint of fear.

”I succeeded. Perhaps it’s because of my Sword Bone, this Heavenly Tribulation was much stronger than that of an ordinary Nascent Soul advancing. I almost couldn’t withstand it. You have to be careful when you advance in the future, and it’s best to prepare more magical treasures that can resist the Heavenly Tribulation.”

Carson Flores nodded, then said somewhat awkwardly, ”Just now in the sky, when Spiritual Energy was pouring in, it also crazily infused into my body. Did I steal the Spiritual Energy that originally belonged to you, and will it affect you?”

Delaney Hunter laughed, ”It’s okay. The nature’s spiritual energy is infinite. Even if you weren’t there, I couldn’t have absorbed it all. I brought you here with this in mind, I just didn’t expect to faint. Nonetheless, it accidentally worked out...”

Carson Flores sighed with relief, ”You brought me here to advance through the Heavenly Tribulation and to absorb Spiritual Energy?”

Delaney Hunter explained, ”After the Heavenly Tribulation, a large amount of pure Spiritual Energy is produced by the world. This energy, refined by lightning, is different from the Spiritual Energy we encounter during our regular Cultivation; it is of higher quality and can bring great benefits to Cultivators. But the amount of Spiritual Energy is large and quite scattered, and those undergoing the Heavenly Tribulation often can’t absorb it all. So, if possible, they bring their closest kin to share the experience, both to observe the tribulation for the knowledge and to absorb some of the Spiritual Energy, not letting it go to waste.”

After a pause, Delaney Hunter added, ”This is also why those undergoing the Heavenly Tribulation need to find wide, uninhabited places, and why others can’t be too close. Although some energy is indeed wasted, if there are many people around, it will affect the absorber’s ability to channel the energy and their growth upon advancing. So even if bringing the dearest of kin, it would typically be a junior with a large difference in cultivation level, observing and absorbing stray Spiritual Energy from a certain distance.”

Carson Flores understood and was filled with gratitude.

Close kin.

Within a certain distance, absorbing stray Spiritual Energy...

Clearly, Delaney Hunter considered him close kin and intended to let him benefit and absorb Spiritual Energy. She had previously assigned him a place, presumably preparing for him to Cultivate there, to absorb the Spiritual Energy, but then, an accident happened. In his efforts to help her, he ended up immersing himself in the most intense range of the Spiritual Energy infusion.

Thinking this, he felt he must have impacted Delaney Hunter to some extent; she just didn’t want him to worry, which is why she said it was not an issue.

Fortunately, the amount he absorbed was limited; though there was an impact, it probably wasn’t significant.

Carson Flores bowed his hands together, ”Congratulations, Senior Sister, on your Divinity Transformation... from now on I can rely on you, not fearing anyone bullying me!”

Rely on someone? Hug the thigh?

There was a slight ripple of amusement in Delaney Hunter’s eyes, you just really, truly, hugged my thigh!

”Alright, if someone bullies you in the future, I’ll help you beat them up!”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”Senior Sister, about your Combat Power now, roughly what level could it match?”

Delaney Hunter pondered, ”Mid-Stage of God Transformation should be easy, and Late Phase of Transforming Spirit probably wouldn’t be a problem either. Except for a few exceptional figures, I can take on anyone in Transforming Spirit.”

Impressive!

Carson Flores marveled inwardly. This Sword Bone really was formidable.

The deeper you get into Cultivation, the wider the chasm between each level, even a minor layer like Initial Spirit Transformation Stage and Mid-Stage of God Transformation presents a vast gulf that is hard to cross. But Delaney Hunter, thanks to her Sword Bone, could actually leap over two stages to fight those at the Late Phase of Transforming Spirit!

Carson Flores smiled, ”Sword Bone is powerful indeed. It’s time for me to work hard on refining my Sword Bone too.”

Delaney Hunter smiled, ”I’ll help you.”

Carson Flores didn’t refuse, with so much having happened between them, their relationship had reached a very intimate level.

Hard to describe.

Senior brother and sister?

Lovers in the making?

Ambiguous?

In any case, the relationship was exceptionally good; they didn’t hold each other to account for anything.

”Okay, thank you, Senior Sister.”

Delaney Hunter said with a restrained laugh, ”If anyone should say thanks, it should be me thanking you. Without you risking your life to defend the city and capturing Zion Frost, where would all these resources come from? Without your help in treating me, I wonder how long it would have taken to refine the last few dozen Sword Bones, or if it would have been possible at all, there could have been accidents.”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”Alright, let’s just stop with the formalities, it feels like a business pitch.”

Delaney Hunter smiled slightly, ”Fine. You focus on refining your Sword Bone, and I’ll figure out a way to gather resources for you.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”I currently have a lot of Dark Iron Raven Essence in hand, I plan to start with refining my arms, then I want to take a trip to Mount Kahdas.”

Delaney Hunter hesitated, ”To find your parents?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”I saw Mount Kahdas on the map of Misrds State and felt like I should make this journey, but I don’t know what are the requirements for entering Mount Kahdas?”

Delaney Hunter smiled, ”It shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll ask our master to help; he has met the Cave Master of Mount Kahdas Cave before. I’ll have him write a letter to the Cave Master, then have you deliver it. That way, your entrance to Mount Kahdas will be natural.”

Carson Flores’s eyes lit up, then he worriedly asked, ”Will the Cave Master agree?”

Delaney Hunter replied firmly, ”Master only has three disciples. I’m sure he’ll help if I ask him...”
