Three Towers Game

”But I can’t bring myself to harm those children.”

Wen Xishu continued:

”At that time, all over the world, hadn’t many chaotic phenomena already begun to appear?”

Chris responded with a nod:

”That’s right. We also occasionally talked about some things: the rat infestation in Mo’en City, the peculiar virus in Wind City, and all sorts of things we used to dismiss as nonsensical supernatural forces.”

Wen Xishu thought for a moment and said:

”Then have you ever encountered anything you found particularly strange and related to children? On the battlefield you invaded.”

This question really stumped Chris.

After thinking for a long time, Chris shook his head and said:

”No.”

Wen Xishu didn’t give up and changed the question:

”Did you ever communicate with any child? Or did any child ever say something to you?”

Chris deliberated again for a long time, and this time he nodded:

”Yes.”

”I once let a group of children go, and one of them, wearing a face mask, told me that I didn’t belong here, and I would find my own destiny.”

Wen Xishu asked again:

”Did you have any physical contact?”

Chris was surprised at Wen Xishu’s focus:

”Indeed we did. Does this... suggest something unusual?”

Wen Xishu said:

”Not certain yet, but next, I’ll need your help to break through this door. It’s time for us to set off, Chris.”

With harmonious will, covering others with thoughts while ensuring independence, the three people, those Longxia tried to protect...

Many points gradually connected to form a line.

Wen Xishu vaguely had an answer.

”Right now... I feel exhausted. It sounds strange because in the past, nothing could confine me here. But now, I can’t use my former abilities.”

Wen Xishu found it quite reasonable.

Because those are the rules of the game.

The rules are that without the intervention of the Bunker players, the three of you are lambs led to slaughter. One would be parasitized during confinement, and another would lose the ability to think due to medication.

Of course, Britney wouldn’t fare well either.

In Deceit Tower, Zhou Fei, Chris, and Britney couldn’t harness their original capabilities and needed players to discover them gradually by regaining memories through various stimuli to unlock abilities.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t work.

However, Wen Xishu directly utilized the setting to unlock the abilities of two people.

”Switch.”

Zhou Fei suddenly felt a jolt and realized... Wen Xishu had left his body.

Zhou Fei asked:

”How about it, should we get out of here... Even though I don’t know how you managed to distract so many lab coats, we really should leave now.”

”Can you now break—”

Before Zhou Fei could finish speaking.

Chris violently destroyed the iron door. The bent iron door seemed to have no hardness in Chris’ hands, like it was made of bread.

Towering Chris appeared, and in the dim environment, Zhou Fei couldn’t see Chris’ face, but could feel the immense pressure.

Wen Xishu said:

”Alright, Zhou Fei, let’s solve the next mystery.”

Zhou Fei said:

”Do we continue?”

Wen Xishu nodded:

”We’ve come this far, let’s push on in one go. Don’t underestimate the allure of a third person.”

Zhou Fei was curious:

”Did you control another one?”

Wen Xishu said:

”Yes, she’s drawing the fire away for us. We should have a little more time. Originally, I was supposed to take you all away now.”

”But I feel like... we still need to unravel some clues. We need to go to a place. Perhaps you know it.”

Zhou Fei took a deep breath and said:

”Where are you going?”

Wen Xishu said:

”You came here because your uncle reported you, according to your memory.”

Zhou Fei nodded.

Wen Xishu and Zhou Fei talked in a low voice while walking:

”If your uncle disliked you so much, why didn’t he send you away before the college entrance exams? From what I know, the number of Good People has far exceeded people’s imaginations.”

Zhou Fei said:

”I’m not sure. I often couldn’t figure it out.”

Wen Xishu said:

”I believe the Moderate Illness Area might hold the key for us. Next, we need to go to the Moderate Illness Area.”

”The Moderate Illness Area is set up like a hospital ward. Zhou Fei, do you know where an archive or similar room might be?”

Zhou Fei understood. Wen Xishu intended to explore the archive room.

”Are you... sure about this?”

With Chris around, Wen Xishu felt a lot safer.

”Yes, I can understand why Chris would be special, but the special nature of you and Britney, I need to comprehend, Zhou Fei. Your memory has already overturned my understanding once...”

”But I believe it might not be enough. There might be some truths you haven’t discovered yet.”

Zhou Fei sighed:

”This must be a deadly dream. I hope I don’t wake up suddenly. You’re insane, but since you’ve decided, let’s move forward. The Moderate Illness Area has many strange rules...”

Wen Xishu said:

”Don’t worry, I’ll switch in time.”

Controlling two people at once wasn’t difficult for Wen Xishu. The challenge was when controlling Zhou Fei, Chris would become the weakened version of Chris.

Once controlling Chris, Zhou Fei would become a confused version of Zhou Fei.

Soon, under Wen Xishu’s lead, the two arrived at the entrance of the Moderate Illness Area.

As for the guards along the way, Wen Xishu resolved with force. Chris’s body, once controlled by Wen Xishu, was akin to a professional killer.

After entering the Moderate Illness Area, Wen Xishu switched to Zhou Fei.

With Zhou Fei’s ability, he made slight modifications to some rules within a small range, and then Chris and Zhou Fei carefully avoided a lot of surveillance without breaking the rules.

The archive room was on the third floor, a place without patients and without much guarding.

The patients in the Moderate Illness Area mostly lost their ability to think due to medication.

There were plenty of lab coats here, but no guards; however, the lab coats had already been drawn away.

Using Chris’s body, Wen Xishu easily opened the door.

Glancing at the number on Zhou Fei’s body, Wen Xishu began searching for the archive room, resembling a small library.

Soon, he found the file on Zhou Fei.
