Three Towers Game

Upon hearing such a sensitive topic, Wen Xishu slightly furrowed his brow; he was now somewhat fearful of matters involving souls.

But after thinking for a while, it’s unlikely that he would encounter someone like the captain who uses similar methods on the thirty-something floors.

Without much thought, Wen Xishu directly activated the login device.

[Please allocate items and abilities. Continue.]

A bit unfamiliar.

Before Wen Xishu even opened his eyes to experience a new round of challenge scenario, a sentence emerged in his mind.

”This is too much like a game; is it the effect of the Scorpio Knife after the Tri-Life enhancement?”

Wen Xishu’s consciousness lingered on the word ”continue”.

[Hero, Wise, Benevolent.]

Wen Xishu seemed to understand.

”Could it be that I have to control these three individuals?”

”Such a stereotypical Japanese RPG character setup, how does this feel completely unrelated to the eerie concentration camp?”

Wen Xishu thought about it; the Hero must be relatively strong in combat, so he allocated the Slaughter Sequence to the Hero.

The Wise is naturally adept at analysis, but after all... if the Hero is controlled by me, isn’t he also adept at analysis?

Even so, Wen Xishu chose to give the Weird Sequence to the Wise and the Desire Sequence to the Benevolent.

After all, this time he’s going minimalist, which means a pitifully low Anti-Magic Value.

The Hero’s key item is a murderous soccer ball, the Wise’s key item is a controller. The Benevolent, the core component is the Adventure Goblet.

After allocation was complete, Wen Xishu saw the following line.

[The game is about to start; you have seven days. Please ensure at least one person can survive or escape in this challenge.]

It seems that if all three successfully escape, it’s the best ending.

Only one person surviving but unable to escape is the next worst ending; the worst ending, of course, is total annihilation.

Wen Xishu rarely felt a bit nervous; he was very curious about how he should control the three individuals.

In the next moment of swirling thoughts, intense electric shocks made Wen Xishu feel extreme pain.

He let out a cry of agony.

Due to the minimalist approach, Wen Xishu now no longer possesses the strongest attributes of Slaughter Tower and Deceit Tower; his physical form has also changed to someone else’s, so this electricity makes Wen Xishu’s brain dizzy.

This is a form of extreme torture.

”Do you realize your mistake? Chris! Do you understand how reckless your actions are!”

A voice was roaring.

Wen Xishu was sure this roar was directed at him.

The surge of electricity deprived him of the ability to even observe his surroundings. Wen Xishu understood clearly that he had to feign weakness. Regardless of whether he was the Hero, the Benevolent, or the Wise... facing such intense electric shocks, enduring head-on either results in a fried brain or a damaged body.

”I understand! I understand!” he shouted loudly.

Another voice questioned:

”Understand what!”

Wen Xishu cooperatively responded:

”I understand my mistake!”

As his voice echoed, some memories seemed to emerge in his mind.

[Collect enough memories to help you enhance yourself.]

A sentence appeared again in his mind.

Wen Xishu immediately remembered that he was a retired soldier named Chris, suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, finding it hard to interact with ordinary people after returning from the battlefield.

The electric shock began to gradually weaken, and Wen Xishu began to breathe with difficulty.

The person dressed as a doctor, with a lab coat and mask, had eyebrows arched with a smile visible in his eyes:

”Very good, this is progress. Chris, finally from your mouth, we hear that you understand your mistake. See, our treatment is effective.”

”But you’ve broken the rules here; you need to be confined.”

For some reason, the confinement triggered Wen Xishu’s instinctive resistance and aversion.

He shuddered instinctively.

Two men dressed in camouflage uniforms and steel helmets dragged the already weakened Wen Xishu.

Wen Xishu wondered, is Chris the Hero?

If the Hero is being tortured so ruthlessly at the beginning... is the Benevolent even worse off?

[Unlock Rule One: Within xxx, do not xx count numbers silently. xxxx, if you hear someone calling you in xxx, please do not xxx.]

As a top-tier expert at climbing Deceit Tower, Wen Xishu knew that a rule prompt like this is like cockroaches; once you find one such rule prompt, it means there are many similar ones underneath.

”We’re dealing with rule-based horror stories now...”

At this point, Wen Xishu was still in a state unable to connect with his body, feeling numb.

He could only let the two sturdy men drag him to the solitary confinement room.

He himself also analyzed the rule.

”Not sure if it’s an issue with my role or my Anti-Magic Value... I can’t decipher the rules.”

”So far, it seems I’m heading to the confinement room, so unlocked the confinement room’s rules. Within xxx presumably refers to within the confinement room. Not xx count numbers silently... hmm, usually, if you shouldn’t do something, it means don’t do it at all.”

”And wouldn’t it add another word... I guess it means don’t stop counting numbers silently?”

Wen Xishu wasn’t sure, but he could be certain that based on his current ability to interpret rules, he might end up failing because of the rules.

”What does it mean when someone calls me xxx? Does please not xxx mean reject or agree? Damn, this start feels excessively painful.”

As Wen Xishu thought about this, he received a prompt.

[The current character is in a state of unconsciousness and won’t attract ’their’ attention for a short period, meeting the switch condition. Would you like to switch the role to Wise or Sage?]
