Three Towers Game

Chapter 473: After modification: Chapter 145 Strange Train and Passengers_2

Wen Xishu looked around, he was sitting in the seventeenth row, at the very front...

Actually, in many trains, the number 01 carriage at the very front should be the business seat or first-class seat carriage.

But this train didn’t have such a setup.

Behind Wen Xishu was the train carriage door.

As Wen Xishu approached the door, he heard a prompt in his mind.

[Do you want to retreat to the next carriage? Yes. No.]

Wen Xishu quickly chose ”No” in his mind.

”You can retreat...”

”In other words, isn’t this the actual starting point?”

”Or is the train actually in a looping state?”

How do you retreat further from carriage 01? Carriage 00? Is there such a numbered carriage?

Wen Xishu felt something was off.

Being able to retreat is good; it means that during the process of heading to carriage 16, if you encounter an eerie scene, you might choose to avoid the edge by retreating to the original scene.

But without a doubt, if you choose to retreat from the starting point at carriage 01, very terrifying things might happen.

Reset.

Wen Xishu’s intuition has always been accurate, so he didn’t plan to retreat.

He stood up and began to walk forward.

”There are not many people in the carriage, just over ten passengers...”

”Hmm, and there is a female conductor pushing a cart, another male conductor stands in the corner.”

This was what Wen Xishu saw at first glance.

Many seats were empty.

Wen Xishu still remembered the simple information brought by the safe house—if you entered the maze train, it’s best to stay in the first carriage until the time is full, then go to the next carriage. The rule is simple, you just need to successfully and safely reach the sixteenth carriage.

But it is said—there really isn’t a sixteenth carriage, only one carriage. Anyway~ who knows.

The maze train belongs to the twenty-ninth floor of Deceit Tower.

This level, translated to Desire Tower, contains the disintegrators.

”Need to observe enough time, meaning, the main information comes from the first carriage? It seems my breakthrough point is to ask these people first.”

”Hopefully, Nissen and the others won’t be rash.”

Wen Xishu actually overthought it.

At this moment, Nissen, Yue Yun, Xiaojin, Zheng Zai, and Ah Miao... were all exceptionally well-behaved.

They were earnestly observing the first level.

Just for them, this brand new ”communication method” somewhat affected their sanity.

They had already started communicating, while Wen Xishu was just beginning.

Wen Xishu walked around, and when he reached the very front row... he heard a prompt.

[Do you want to move to the next carriage? Yes, No.]

Wen Xishu chose ”No.”

During this process, Wen Xishu discovered something rather creepy.

All the passengers were completely motionless.

Wen Xishu walked through the entire carriage, from the first row to the last row...

But these passengers seemed not to notice him at all.

Each passenger’s face carried a bizarre smile, their eyes stared straight ahead without any deviation.

The female conductor pushing a cart of various snacks also remained at her original spot, unmoving.

But the scenery outside the window kept moving backward.

This absurd and eerie combination of movement and stillness made Wen Xishu feel a slight sense of caution.

He began to observe the passengers.

From their appearance, this was a Longxia train, all passengers had Longxia features.

”Four migrant workers, but it seems worker number one and worker number two don’t know worker number three and worker number four.”

”Worker number three and worker number four are in the seventh row, worker number one and worker number two are in the eleventh row...”

”Although they all have bizarre smiles, worker number three and worker number four’s gaze... is tightly fixed on the male conductor in the corner.”

”And a couple, looking young, in their twenties, like university students out traveling. But is it just my illusion?”

The university couple sat in the ninth row, the female student sat on the outside. Given the spacious seating, usually, girls prefer sitting by the window.

Wen Xishu still remembered, in his previous life on a plane, he encountered a couple arguing, the reason was simple, although the man paid for the tickets, he couldn’t sit by the window and watch the clouds because the girl wanted the seat.

While not universally true, indeed, sitting by the window with the boyfriend in the middle, one side with the outside scenery and the other side with the boyfriend, would make most feel comfortable and safe.

The more Wen Xishu thought, the eerier it seemed.

This girl appeared to be looking at the third row, Wen Xishu wasn’t very sure, because it could also be that she just had a small quarrel with her boyfriend and turned aside.

That angle could indeed fall on the third row.

The man in the third row was apparently very fat but wearing leather, giving off quite a bossy vibe.

He held a tri-fold phone, seemingly checking stock charts and the like.

Temporarily nothing seemed off.

The noteworthy part was the first row.

That is, the row furthest from Wen Xishu’s initial position.

A forty-year-old woman with sharp eyes, holding the hand of a little girl.

Since everyone carried bizarre smiles... the kind that looked like uncomfortable puppets, Wen Xishu could only observe through their eyes.

Undoubtedly, from the woman’s face, he saw a sense of vigilance and unease.

Next to her, the little girl’s eyes seemed like black holes, hard to discern.

Wen Xishu also noticed the woman’s hand tightly clutching the girl’s wrist.

The corner conductor stood in front of the woman.
