Three Towers Game

Chapter 463: Original text: Chapter 143 The Girl with the Orange Vortex Shoes Ends_4 Modified:

[Thus, the population of that country began to shrink crazily.]

[A woman who could make everyone kneel unconditionally found it not too difficult to kill, but this inevitably drew people’s attention.]

[In history, there was a church called the Godslayer Church, which dealt with demonic entities and instruments alike. The first president of this church was named Arnold, who also inhaled this substance called the Tower and gained power from it.]

[Arnold’s church eventually launched a holy war against the country of the shoe-woman.]

[However, the shoes, bathed in countless people’s blood, began to merge with Josie. Josie became unkillable.]

[At least, Arnold’s church members could not kill Josie.]

[But Arnold left behind a method. The witches of that era could foresee the future and died leaving behind a prophecy of the apocalypse. Arnold also foresaw the future. But Arnold thought that at least the world before the apocalypse should remain normal.]

[With the power of the ”Tower,” Arnold established a connection with a child from the future.]

[That child, named Aries, bestowed Arnold with a ritual to extract and utilize the Tower substance.]

[After Arnold’s death, the ritual was passed down. Using this ritual, Arnold’s descendants finally completed the sealing of the ”Shoes.”]

[But unfortunately, they could only seal it.]

[This is the last complete story about the shoes. As this country was completely extinct... the whereabouts of the shoes became unknown.]

Josie, it seems, is the shoe-woman in the mural.

This story really has nothing to do with the apocalypse.

It only involves the ”Tower.”

A substance called the ”Tower” was discovered by a witch.

The witch began to have some sort of power. After the witch was executed, the power of the ”Tower” was transferred into the shoes.

These shoes could make a person beautiful, bewitched the hearts of others, and gave someone an irresistible charm.

With these few abilities, countless tragedies ensued, even leading to the destruction of a small country in history.

Of course, the historical records would undoubtedly be rewritten in a way more in line with people’s understanding. Such as, ”A foolish ruler, to make a beauty smile, washed the shoes with human blood” kind of record.

”For now, there is no knowing if there are other items or artifacts containing the ’Tower,’ but these artifacts likely completely changed the course of human history.”

”If the Tower is not some kind of coincidence, then the approach of the apocalypse might also be related to the ’Tower’?”

Wen Xishu did not know, but it was his first encounter with a ”non-apocalyptic dungeon.”

All previous dungeons were related to the apocalypse, the approaching doomsday, people mutating, either saving or killing someone...

But not this time. This time it involved an extremely ancient timeline.

”Moreover, this time there was no invitation... Perhaps this is because, even without an invitation, I could understand the cause and effect?”

”Finally, this story mentioned Aries... If I am not mistaken, this must be the constellation Aries, right!?”

”So, the complete information recorded on the parchment about the sealing method of the ’Tower’ comes from... Aries?”

”Does Aries have characteristics related to ancient mysterious events? Maybe this won’t be the only time... encountering dungeons involving ancient mysteries. Perhaps such dungeons all connect to Aries.”

Wen Xishu was still very adept at summarizing and synthesizing.

In Scorpio dungeons, the game elements are heavy.

In Gemini dungeons, there is inevitably a pair of closely related individuals, be it brothers, friends, mentors, or even neighbors.

While in Libra dungeons, it seems to be related to multiple factions.

As for Pisces, it is linked to time.

And there are many other mysterious constellations, but Wen Xishu wasn’t in a hurry.

For now, he had to eliminate the shoe-woman.

”Everyone, please gather all the jars together. Next, I’m going to start clearing this vortex.” Wen Xishu said, and though they did not understand, everyone began to excitedly help move them.

Prior to this statement, Wen Xishu had already received a prompt.

[You have read the complete parchment storyline. Your base value also determines that you can inherit and even surpass Arnold.]

[Obtained Three Towers Sequence 35: Tower Power Extraction.]

[With Three Towers Sequence 35: Tower Power Extraction, you can extract the Tower power value contained within non-apocalyptic items imbued with Tower power.]

Tower Power Value! Wen Xishu once again saw this thing. His heart started to race. ”Did I really find a sequence that can obtain Tower power value?”

”And the prefix of this sequence seemingly sounds quite terrifying!”

Wen Xishu had seen desire sequences, slaughter sequences, eerie sequences...

But it was his first time encountering the Three Towers Sequence.

Though he had no invitation, undoubtedly, he had found the most valuable item in this vortex.

Not long ago, during the night in Rokkasho, Wen Xishu could actually choose to use the Tower power value to reload a save.

But Wen Xishu did not do so. One, it was unnecessary, and two, he was really reluctant.

Clearing the Deceit Tower so many times, he had only accumulated five points of Tower Power Value. Wen Xishu could imagine the rarity of this thing.

For now, Tower Power Value could activate hidden abilities of Scorpio’s knife items and also activate some ultimate skills of certain sequences.

It is the ultimate energy bar, but the energy refill method is too sparse, or should I say too mysterious, with no clear way to acquire it till now.
