She Came to Heal, Stayed to Conquer

Princess Yujia looked at everything in front of her, her heart filled with sorrow and despair.

She couldn’t believe that her own brother would do something so cruel.

With a trembling voice, she said, ”Bo Lu... you... how could you...”

Bo Lu turned his head to look at Princess Yujia, a complex emotion flickering in his eyes.

He took a deep breath and said, ”Sister, I know you can’t accept all this. But for the future of the Turkic, I must do this! Only I can lead the Turkic to glory!”

Upon hearing this, Princess Yujia’s eyes filled with sorrowful tears that fell like broken pearls.

She shook her head, looking at Bo Lu through her blurred tears.

”No... Bo Lu... you are wrong... True glory is not achieved through slaughter and betrayal... but through unity and effort...”

However, Bo Lu gave her a scornful look.

”Unity and effort also require an excellent and brave leader,” he said, glancing at Ashina’s corpse and coldly added, ”And he clearly wasn’t.”

Hearing his cold words, Princess Yujia couldn’t help but shiver.

It was as if she no longer recognized this brother of hers, who would often secretly roast lamb in the shadows when everyone wasn’t watching.

From when did he become so cold-blooded and ruthless? From when did he become so iron-fisted and unscrupulous?

While Princess Yujia was lost in thought, Bo Lu, wearing his lambskin boots, had already walked to the center of the Sacrificial Wine Platform, raising the curved knife in his hand high.

”Warriors. Our beef and lamb, and our blood, only allow us Turkic warriors to advance, not retreat.”

As he spoke, Bo Lu pointed with his curved knife at Ashina Khan’s corpse on the Sacrificial Wine Platform.

”However, he grew old. His courage has been consumed by the wolves on the grassland. From today onwards, I, Bo Lu, am the new Khan of the Turkic! We now have the world’s most formidable ’peanuts.’ I, Bo Lu, will lead you to conquer Da Jing, conquer the grassland, and create glory belonging to our Turkic people!”

Below the platform, everyone looked at each other, momentarily unsure of what to do.

Bo Lu’s voice continued to resonate over the grassland.

”Now, all warriors willing to submit to me, step over there.”

Bo Lu pointed towards a distant expanse of open grassland with his curved knife. Then, he swung the knife to point at the tribal leader whose head had just been cut off by him.

”Those unwilling to submit to me will end up like him. Death!”

The crowd below was in an uproar. But soon, one-third of the Turkic warriors resolutely walked toward that distant open grassland.

Even on the Sacrificial Wine Platform, one-third of the tribal leaders stood at the edge of the platform.

This was their stance, expressing their alignment with Bo Lu.

Princess Yujia didn’t expect so many tribes to make a choice so quickly, and she couldn’t help but feel a surge of apprehension in her heart.

At this moment, she realized how terrifying her brother really was.

Bo Lu, only fifteen or sixteen years old, she had always thought of him as a young man who only knew how to secretly roast lamb in the shadows.

Unexpectedly, under Ashina Khan’s nose, he had quietly gathered such a substantial amount of power.

Princess Yujia closed her eyes, an image of the whistling arrows that had just passed flashed in her mind.

Then, her father lay like a hedgehog, fallen in a pool of blood.

Bo Lu was her own brother, she had no choice, her choice could only be to stand with her brother.

Princess Yujia opened her eyes, holding her whip, she slowly kneeled in front of Bo Lu.

She prostrated on the ground, exclaiming, ”Yujia pays respect to Bo Lu Khan.”

Upon hearing Princess Yujia’s gentle sheep-like voice, those Turkic who hadn’t yet chosen sides looked at each other, exchanging glances.

They secretly raised their eyes, looking at Bo Lu standing on the Sacrificial Wine Platform. Under Bo Lu’s fierce gaze, they finally lowered their heads, prostrating themselves on the ground, indicating their submission.

Thus, Bo Lu, through a bloody coup, successfully ascended to become the Khan of the Turkic.

However, there was no joy or satisfaction in his heart.

He knew that this throne was not easy to sit on and that the future path of the Turkic would be filled with thorns and challenges.

But since he had already climbed to this position, he had no retreat, only the path forward to reach his goal.

”Leaders and warriors!”

Bo Lu stood on the Sacrificial Wine Platform, his gaze sweeping over the dense crowd below, his voice lofty.

”The Turkic Grassland has been extremely bitter and cold since ancient times, our people unfed and ill-clothed. However, the Da Jing Dynasty has the most abundant grains, the most beautiful fabrics, as well as porcelain and ironware. This is unfair. Now it’s different, we have the weapon of ’peanuts’, we must be able to break through the defenses of Da Jing at once and capture their grains and fabrics!”

A wave of cheers erupted below, the warriors waving their weapons in support of Bo Lu and yearning for the future.

However, at this moment, an elderly tribal leader stepped forward and said in a deep voice, ”Khan, although we have ’peanuts’, the Da Jing army has them too! We must act cautiously, we can’t underestimate the enemy!”

Hearing this, Bo Lu frowned slightly.

”From what Bugai says, most of the Da Jing Army still uses swords, only a few are using ’peanuts’, which indicates that Da Jing’s ’peanuts’ are not numerous. So, we must speed up the creation of ’peanuts’, and hasten to find ways to use ’peanuts’ to kill enemies, and practice diligently. Given the bravery of our Turkic cavalry, then it will be a matter of whose ’peanuts’ are more, and whose ’peanuts’ shoot further.”

As soon as Bo Lu finished speaking, an explosive cheer rose from the crowd below, as if victory was in sight.

”More, further.”

”More, further.”

...

”Hmm!”

The tribal leader nodded slightly, feeling that Bo Lu Khan’s words were indeed correct.

Then it will depend on who has more ’peanuts’, whose warriors can shoot the ’peanuts’ further.
