She Came to Heal, Stayed to Conquer

Bo Lu was overjoyed upon hearing the news, and immediately led his companions in a line past the table, each taking a ”peanut” from the sheepskin.

He instructed his companions to tie the ”peanuts” to the arrows, and use the method of shooting with bows.

Once prepared, Bo Lu and his companions rode on horseback galloping, drawing their bows and aiming as they passed the Sacrificial Wine Platform.

Prince Bo Lu personally took the lead, all eyes locked on the three sheep on the Sacrificial Wine Platform, as if already seeing the dawn of victory.

However, just at that moment, a loud ”whistle” pierced the sky.

Bo Lu’s sharp arrow didn’t shoot at the sheep, but directly aimed at Ashina Khan’s face!

Ashina Khan stood on the Sacrificial Wine Platform, his attention also tightly fixed on the three sheep, wanting to witness firsthand how the ”peanuts” pierced the sheep’s body.

When the whistle sounded, he hadn’t reacted yet, when ”swish,” an arrow already struck his temple.

Soon after, another dozen arrows whistled through the air, instantly turning him into a hedgehog.

The entire process happened too quickly, and too dramatically, leaving all onlookers yet to react.

With a ”thud,” Ashina Khan stared wide-eyed, his tall and strong body rigidly falling backwards, onto the Sacrificial Wine Platform made of logs, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Bo Lu charged forward a distance on horseback and then reined in to a halt. Looking back to see Ashina Khan fallen, a deep smile curved at the corner of his mouth.

He had waited for this day for a very long time.

”Ah! Oh my god!”

”Khan!”

”The Khan’s been shot.”

...

Exclamations rang out one after another, all eyes fixated on Ashina Khan’s body, filled with arrows.

The competition was meant to shoot sheep, but ended in Ashina Khan’s death, Princess Yujia and the tribal leaders stood up, shocked and horrified, the scene descending into chaos.

Bo Lu led his companions to turn around and ride back, the sound of hooves thunderously shaking the ground.

He agilely dismounted from the tall warhorse, the mane of which danced wildly in the wind, seemingly trembling for the tragedy about to be unveiled.

Bo Lu strode onto the Sacrificial Wine Platform, the chaotic crowd automatically parting before him, like waves cleaved by a sharp blade.

He approached Ashina’s corpse, his gaze cold and deep as a vortex.

Ashina’s body was covered with arrows, his blood already staining his clothing red, yet his eyes remained wide open, as if in his last moments still questioning the heavens.

Bo Lu’s face showed no pain or sadness, rather his lips bore a sneer filled with mockery and triumph.

He kicked Ashina’s arrow-filled body with one foot, as if declaring his victory to everyone.

The companions who rushed onto the stage with him were already scared out of their wits.

The one who, for the strength of the Turkic people, died fighting alongside three sons; the one who once led them to battle across the lands; the hero whom all Turkic people revered as Khan, now lay in a pool of blood, dying unsatisfied.

The companions’ faces were filled with terror and bewilderment, as if the whole world collapsed in that instant.

They turned to Bo Lu, the small leader they had always followed, and the smile at his lips sent a chill down their spines.

The slightly older Aibal’s eyelid twitched, he covered his mouth with his hand, which had opened wide in fear; he seemed finally to understand something.

Their small leader, Bo Lu——was committing patricide!

The arrows they reflexively shot at the sound of Bo Lu’s order were his accomplices in patricide.

Aibal looked down dumbfounded at the iron bow in his hand.

At this moment, an older tribal chief next to him seemed to understand Bo Lu’s actions.

The tribal chief’s eyes were filled with fear and anger, he stepped up to Bo Lu, voice trembling and pointing at him.

”You... you dare to commit patricide!”

Bo Lu glared coldly at him, the smile at his lips nearly cruel.

”Patricide? Hmph, he’s long unfit to be my father Khan! He’s only obsessed with power and pleasure, growing increasingly timid. He’s forgotten our Turkic glory!”

With that, he drew the scimitar from his waist and swiftly slashed towards the tribal chief.

In a flash of the blade, the chief hadn’t even made any resistance before his head rolled to the ground, blood splattering out, staining the floor of the Sacrificial Wine Platform.

Bo Lu’s sinister and ruthless forceful suppression gradually quieted the scene, with everyone looking at him in terror.
