Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill

Chapter 42: Too Easy

Messages kept flashing in front of him but with a bloodthirsty expression, he slaughtered his way forward. Large heads of the giants were bouncing up each time the axes were waved.

Or their heads were crushed under the hammer without even using the gravitational ability of this great weapon.

The dust giants got into a fight with the demons, but they could at most hold back their opponent for a little while. Even the dust blade couldn’t kill these giants directly.

After all, his dust manipulation skill was still at level C, but Vritra could feel that very soon it would evolve again and become more useful.

The more he used this skill, the more its proficiency increased. It wouldn’t be long before it was raised to rank B.

While others’ talents couldn’t be upgraded—whether they were grade C or S—they would stay just there. Based on the level of the user, they would be able to show the power of their skills.

But the dust blade could still blind the enemy and could even block their windpipes, momentarily stunning them.

And that was all Vritra needed to cut his giant friends to pieces. Since the task had become much easier, the previous thrill had almost disappeared.

Vritra still enjoyed fighting, but now he didn’t go crazy while fighting. He was still perfectly calm as his figure kept jumping into the endless crowd of giants. Jumping over their heads and shoulders and cutting them like woods made of wax.

”So this Death Canopy was created by Nihil-Anima? Why did it go through all that trouble?” Vritra even had the time to calmly talk while attacking and dodging.

These things were too slow for him.

”Yes, with the help of the Demon Lord’s corpse, all of these are created.

Using his energy, blood, and flesh. Under special circumstances, after the death of a Demon Lord, such a labyrinth could be formed, then such demons are created.” Yasmine began to explain, while enjoying the sight of him killing those giant creatures left and right.

”As for why Nihil-Anima did it—since it was so weakened, it couldn’t easily break apart the soul of a dead Demon Lord, so it created this place and then broke them into countless demons. Making it easier to swallow the souls of these small demons and also the people who fell down here. And it couldn’t control the entire labyrinth.” She finished, while floating around him.

Vritra struck the top of a giant with both hammers, crushing all the bones of his body and turning it into shrimp, as it died immediately.

Even though they were instantly killed by him, the demons kept charging forward with madness. Not a single giant was yet able to hit him.

”Go, go, kill them all! I am here for moral support for you. I’ll cheer as you slay them—just the perfect first night of our wedding, very romantic.” Yasmine said, looking at her husband.

”Oh, and do you know what is even more strange than our first night? The fact that I didn’t even know I was getting married until the moment we were actually getting married.” Vritra spoke, as he kicked the head of another giant away.

”Hehe, actually, in our dragon race when a strong warrior likes someone, they would just go ahead and abduct them. Proposing, love, and marriage all come after that.” Yasmine stated, looking at the corpses that were dropping one after another.

Vritra continued his slaughter while the two talked. Since killing them was such an easy task, he didn’t even need to take a break for over a week, since his passive skills kept him refreshed while working in the background.

Finally, he decided to pause for a little while and eat something. Vritra moved back while it was quite difficult for the giants to move since the place was just too crowded. Then, raising both his hands, he poured a large amount of mana and commanded:

”Tsunami of Dust!!”

In the next moment, a huge amount of dust flooded, covering a large area and rising up to the chests of the giants, making it almost impossible for them to move. Then he jumped to the starting point.

Taking out a table from his inventory, he set the food on the table. Of course, the food that his mother had packed—it was still just as fresh, even the milk.

”Heh, is it tasty?” Yasmine asked. She had reduced her size by quite a lot and floated in front of him.

”Mmm, it is. Do you want some?” Vritra began to eat, as the familiar messages popped out, but he paid little attention to them.

”No thanks. I don’t deserve such intense love from your mother. She loves you a lot, huh. I can almost see how much love she had poured into that food.” Yasmine spoke, her words filled with a hidden meaning.

”Yeah, we have always depended on each other. But from your words, it seems she had added something unspeakable to this food.” Vritra didn’t pause eating as he asked.

”No. Anyway, when are you going to try improving those soul wraiths?” she asked while changing the topic.

”At the end of this wave. I also need to open that mystery box, but I wonder how I can do that.” Vritra wondered. He did have an idea, but he wasn’t sure if it would work.

After finishing all the food that Vanessa had packed for him, Vritra drank the milk. Since he wanted to savour the taste of this delicious food for a while longer, he decided to eat the demon meat later.

And once again, Vritra jumped onto the immobile giants who were still struggling, and again he began to chop them into pieces. Days passed by just like that. However, this time the killing went much easier because of Yasmine’s presence—she always joked and talked, and the two had grown closer.

Just like that, the first month in the dangerous yet sweet Death Canopy passed just like that. His killing rate had increased by several times compared to the previous waves.

Vritra sat on his dining table while he enjoyed the mixture of Demon Giant’s meat along with the hot lava hound meat, while observing his stat.

With each wave, the levels of the demons kept increasing rapidly. The starting level itself was above 160, and the highest demon giant that he faced was at level 200. Also, as he levelled up, the difficulty of just increasing one level was getting higher.

He had to kill a lot of demons to reach level after reaching level 200. This wave remained too easy for him—he hoped to face something challenging the next time.
