Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill

Chapter 40: Evolution-3

The white energy cocoon slowly dispersed as Vritra opened his eyes for the first time in twenty days. His eyelids blinked open, revealing two blood red, crystal like eyes full of shock.

Yes, Vritra was truly baffled— not because of the change in appearance, nor because of the increase in his stats, neither due to the new energy core that had appeared in his body out of nowhere.

His body, which had been floating, slowly landed on the ground as one after another, several messages appeared in front of him.

Vritra paused for now and didn’t read further as he looked around and soon found the lady dragon floating in the air above him. Before he could speak, Yasmine spoke first in a playful tone:

”Congratulations for getting a Dragon Queen waifu. We are now husband and wife for eternity, aren’t you lucky?”

Vritra: ”...”

He was truly speechless and didn’t know what to say for a while. As the two looked into each other’s eyes, there was a sense of familiarity and closeness between them— as if they had known each other for a long time.

”Wait wait wait, didn’t you tell me this is just a temporary thing and holds no significant meaning? We will get rid of it right after? But this feels like an unbreakable bond...” Vritra finally spoke. He had felt that something was wrong from her behavior, but because of her prideful nature he didn’t expect she would choose to trick him like this.

”Oh, did I say that? Hehe, I lied. Now don’t fret over small details.” Yasmine giggled, her gaze filled with mischievousness.

Previously, whenever Yasmine had talked with him there had always been an invisible wall, and she maintained a certain distance. But now she leapt through that distance and smashed the wall into pieces.

”Does the concept of divorce exist among you dragons?” Vritra rubbed his forehead. He couldn’t believe he had gotten married before even reaching age 20.

Not to mention, he had married an almost stranger. A stranger who isn’t even a human but a dragon— a dragon who only exists as a soul— and now they were eternally bound.

”Of course not. Now only death can drive us apart. Don’t worry, my husband, I will take very good care of you in the future.” She spoke in a playful but also a serious tone, and after a moment she added, ”But since I tricked you into this marriage, I will allow you to marry a few more wives. Of course, the number shouldn’t be too big, and I will hold the title of the first wife.”

After that bonding, they had gotten quite close. Though that doesn’t mean they had started to love each other out of nowhere, but now there weren’t any boundaries between the two, and the trust couldn’t be any higher.

”L- Let’s put aside that topic for now. Let me see what kind of result this transformation brought.”

He glanced at the messages again— the ones he didn’t read earlier.

Vritra was once again surprised by these lines of messages. He had heard the name of the 2nd ranked Mythic Halo from Yasmine once before, since Nihil-Anima had fought against it and was later ambushed by the host of that Mythic Halo— one of the Demon Gods.

So this truly came as a surprise. But before he started any questions about this, he looked at his status window, eagerly waiting to see just how much his stats had increased.

”!!!” Vritra was quite surprised as he read the stats. All the stats had increased by more than two times. Strength, endurance, and mana had even increased by an entire 500.

That was certainly an incredible jump.

”My stats... they have increased by a lot. Wait, does that mean the dragons are born with such high stats? Isn’t that a cheat?” Vritra asked in a shocked tone.

”Not all, but you have obtained the strongest bloodline among the dragons. As for me, my stats were certainly that high from the start.” Yasmine replied with a smirk.

”Hah. This is a lot higher than I thought. So if I transform into a dragon, will my strength increase even further?” he asked, while staring at the stat window.

”Yes, your strength and endurance will increase after your dragon transformation. But remember, the first time is always a little painful.” Yasmine joked.

”Hmm, looks like dragons have little to do with intelligence, when compared to other stats.” Vritra smiled as he looked at Yasmine.

”Then congratulations on being promoted to a dumb race. You might have just become the smartest being in existence... in our race, oh so great husband of mine.” Yasmine laughed and replied.

”Anyway, before we try all that— what is this?” Vritra extended both of his hands, his palms facing upwards.

Yasmine moved closer to him and gazed at them. In the next moment, a colorless flame burst out of his right hand that had already recovered a little.

And then a dark purple flame burst out of his left hand, that despite being much weaker still possessed a deadly presence. That aura startled Yasmine and she moved back slightly.

”W- Where did you get that?” she asked while staring at it cautiously. How could she forget that presence? Although it was different, there was undoubtedly the aura of a Demon God— and something else too...?

”I don’t know. A core had formed in my body when I woke up. This should be the fusion of the energy of some Demon God and a wisp of the 2nd ranked Mythic Halo.” Vritra explained as the two flames disappeared.

”Ah, I understand now. Is it harmful to you in any way?” Yasmine quickly made the connection between Nihil-Anima and that purple flame. She felt worried about him.

”No, I have complete control over it. It can’t harm me— not now, not in the future.” He replied, and took out a mirror from his inventory, looking over himself and again receiving a shock.

”...” The changes were clearly visible. Although he still resembled the past him, his appearance too had undergone a huge transformation.

If previously his looks were at the peak of the human race, now he had far surpassed that. His face, skin, body— everything had been modified by several levels.
