Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 722: Chapter 720: Neutral Worlds and Cities

Regarding Gu Xi’s decision to conduct business in the game, Fang Kang did not express dissatisfaction or any other emotion, but rather hinted at a suggestion between the lines.

He advised Gu Xi not to stay in one city all the time; it’s better to go out and explore when possible. Only by visiting other worlds and cities can one have the chance to break through in their future growth.

Being stuck in one city is not a good sign.

To such words, Gu Xi could only roll his eyes.

Does he really think Gu Xi doesn’t want to go to other worlds?

But Bailian City has a special situation, mainly consisting of Death Knights and Undead Mages.

This kind of professional path tends to be more centralized.

Apart from a few other cities that also follow the path of the Undead, visiting most other cities would be pointless for them.

There’s no way he could go to another city and say, ”I want to start an Undead Calamity, give me three hundred thousand peasants.”

If he really did that, he would definitely be driven back by those cities.

Furthermore, after obtaining specialties from other cities, Bailian City still needs to process them before use, and the same goes for Bailian City’s specialties when taken to other cities.

Unless there’s something particularly good, most players from Bailian City wouldn’t go out of their way to visit a city.

Even if they do venture out, they go to specific cities.

Using such words to stimulate Gu Xi is meaningless to him.

However, Fang Kang’s words did spark in Gu Xi a slight willingness to venture out.

But that feeling was minimal, and no amount of persuasion from Fang Kang could alter Gu Xi’s plans.

Tacked to the end of the letter, Fang Kang send a set of coordinates.

This was a rather detailed set of coordinates; beyond the game number, there were even instructions on how to reach the point after entering the game.

Fang Kang also explained that the destination was in a world of elements,

Such worlds are special; most elemental-related worlds are relatively neutral.

Generally, there are no conflicts in these worlds.

At least for players entering this world, it will be relatively friendly.

The city Fang Kang chose was the main city of neutral forces in that world.

It was also the main location where the majority of players in the game world chose to trade.

Safety there was assured.

Fang Kang had completed several trades there before.

Now naturally, he arranged to meet Gu Xi there.

Additionally, he mentioned something in the back of the letter.

Even if he wouldn’t want Gu Xi’s items, Gu Xi could still sell the Architectural Design Plan there.

After all, players were constantly coming and going, each with corresponding needs.

Fang Kang’s words piqued Gu Xi’s interest slightly.

With the coordinates in hand, he hurried to the Teleportation Plaza.

However, upon seeing these coordinates, the person in charge of the Teleportation Gate shook his head.

”For these coordinates, we have no way in; it’s a public exclusive world.

You can’t apply to enter through the guild; you need to go to the public teleportation point in Bailian City to apply.”

”Ah?”

Gu Xi didn’t expect such a thing.

He was momentarily at a loss on what to do.

Being a member of the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, would it be improper to run out like this?

Perhaps seeing through Gu Xi’s thoughts, the person in charge told him: ”You’re a new player, right? Have you completed this year’s guild tasks?”

To this question, Gu Xi answered decisively.

”Yes, I’ve even completed two.”

Gu Xi was quite certain of this since joining the guild, he directly went to the frontline to transport troops, and the White Training Grand Ceremony was also counted as him completing the guild’s task.

So he never worried about his task completion rate.

”That’s good. As long as you’ve completed the annual guild task, the guild won’t mind whether you use an internal guild Teleportation Gate or an external one.

Internal guild teleportation involves some guild tasks, with more rewards given at the time.

But with external teleportation, our records won’t capture what you do outside; even if we wanted to reward you, we wouldn’t be able to.”

By listening to the person in charge, Gu Xi understood that most guild members did not use internal teleportation exclusively.

They also had friends outside the guild, and when friends needed help, players couldn’t just refuse.

So, the guild was quite lenient in this regard.

As long as you completed the annual guild tasks and could return when needed, you could go wherever you wanted the rest of the time.

Play games wherever you like to play games.

The guild won’t ask you to hand over what you obtained in other games.

Having been in the Chaoyang Radiance Guild for such a long time, Gu Xi had come to understand some of these principles.

He thanked the person in charge, turned, and prepared to leave.

Over the months, Gu Xi hadn’t been just reading all the time in the guild.

He would stroll around in his free time.

The guild was no military camp, so players could freely leave.

However, Gu Xi was a homebody and didn’t usually think of going out.

So after joining the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, he rarely left the premises.

But now things were different; as soon as he left the Teleportation Gate overseer, he headed to the guild’s bus stop.

The Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s bus was also very much in its style.

The bus was a carriage made of bones and crow feathers.

Driven by a Fierce Weasel, who turned to smile at Gu Xi when he boarded.

”Where to, sir?”

”To...” Gu Xi was about to say, ”to the public teleportation point.”

But he hesitated and then said,

”To Huayang Mall.”

Hearing this, the Fierce Weasel promptly responded, ”Alright, sir, please sit tight. Next stop, Huayang Mall, arriving in about fifteen minutes.”

As soon as the Fierce Weasel finished speaking, the carriage sped off.

With a single turn, the carriage raced out of the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s territory and into Bailian City’s domain.

The moment it left the territory, the sky darkened immediately, and walking Undead started appearing on the streets, with Yin Qi thickening in the air.

Gu Xi looked outside the window, observing the scenery different from the Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

Until a massive tower appeared in front of Gu Xi, snapping him back to reality.

Huayang Mall had arrived.
