Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 789: Chapter 787: Hellhounds Guarding the Netherworld

Just as the White Immortal said, as long as there are standard requirements, certain things aren’t that difficult for the Ghost Immortals to do.

It only took less than a day for the White Immortal and Red Immortal to arrange the remaining three Five Elements conditions needed for refining the Grass Returning Pill.

And during this day, Gu Xi wasn’t idle either.

He took Purple Immortal to the second alchemy position he selected, which Li Yufang mentioned, a place with underground meadows, and rearranged another Alchemy Land.

This time, Gu Xi didn’t do anything himself; the monster at that location was dealt with by Purple Immortal.

The gold ore was found by Purple Immortal, and Gu Xi only needed to demarcate it, after which Purple Immortal acted alone, using power to physically move the gold ore to the designated location.

Faced with Purple Immortal’s strength, Gu Xi had to admit once again that the world’s waters were deep indeed.

This time, Gu Xi didn’t stir up any trouble.

After the gold ore was moved, Gu Xi released the Death Incarnation-Titan, once again summoning Celestial Thunder to deal with the gold ore.

And Purple Immortal also happily charged into the Celestial Thunder, engaging in battle with it.

This kind of battle allowed Purple Immortal to absorb more Celestial Thunder, and equally reduced the chances of the thunder hitting the gold ore.

Gu Xi spent more time and effort than before, a full twelve hours, to complete this transformation.

This time, Purple Immortal nodded with satisfaction.

”Refreshing, sir, do you want to set up another new position?”

Gu Xi didn’t quite know how to respond to Purple Immortal’s words.

Gu Xi shook his head, ”Forget it, I have seeds for only two; simultaneously refining two locations is enough, any more and I fear I wouldn’t have other seeds to use.”

”Seeds? Never mind, it doesn’t matter, this place isn’t bad either. Do you think anyone will come to disturb you here in the future?”

Hearing this, Gu Xi knew what Purple Immortal wanted to do.

So Gu Xi very politely said, ”Then I’ll trouble you for this place in the future, if someone comes to attack here, please help to deal with it, Purple Immortal.”

”I like people like you, I’ll definitely help with this, and by the way, weren’t you planning to hide this place, won’t it go unnoticed?”

Listening to Purple Immortal’s question, Gu Xi smiled and said.

”I have set up two places in total, whichever is discovered first, that one will be in the open, and the other naturally will be in the dark.

This place is a bit far, I’m not sure if Purple Immortal would like to come over and check it out often.”

”No problem, I’ve been going over five hundred miles out for a suitable opponent, so this distance is nothing, I can drop by when I’m free.”

Hearing this, Purple Immortal immediately patted his chest.

It was clear he genuinely wanted to find a stronger opponent to challenge.

Gu Xi even suspected that Red Immortal’s choice in the Death Incarnation might have been influenced by Purple Immortal.

Hoping to find an equally matched opponent for Purple Immortal.

Little did she know, although Purple Immortal’s level wasn’t strong, his combat power was rather high.

Her Death Incarnation was no match for Purple Immortal, in the end, needing Purple Immortal to come and hunt.

Gu Xi now realized Purple Immortal’s madness, without some capability, he feared he wouldn’t be able to suppress Purple Immortal.

”Then thank you so much, Purple Immortal, I’ll handle things here first, arranging some little guys to guard it regularly.

If there’s any problem, I’ll have them find you.”

As Gu Xi spoke, he released the chosen Tree Planter and Guardian.

Since the Level 27 Ghost was to be placed near the Burial Ground, the ones released this time were Level 25 Skeletons, along with one hundred Hellhounds of varying levels.

The levels of these Hellhounds varied, with the strongest around Level 25, and the weakest about Level 20.

Those around Level 25 had two heads, while those around Level 20 had one.

It was clear from their movement that they were black dogs made of bones and ashes.

After appearing, they quickly found suitable positions nearby, obviously intending to guard the area.

Seeing these Hellhounds, Purple Immortal was also a bit surprised.

These creatures were clearly Netherworld beings, yet he had never seen them before.

”These are Hellhounds, creatures that guard the gates of the Netherworld; they are quite strong door keepers. I’m placing them here to guard.

If attacked, I’ll have them find you for help, what do you think, Purple Immortal?”

”Sure, I’ve never seen these creatures before, and I’m sure others haven’t either. I’ll have them come find me.”

Seeing Purple Immortal approve of the Hellhounds, Gu Xi nodded.

However, the setup wasn’t fully completed yet.

This only constituted arranging one innate Five Elements area and one metal ground, with everything else needing further adjustments.

So Gu Xi didn’t insist on keeping Purple Immortal, staying instead to handle the remaining matters.

Seeing there’s nothing for him to do, Purple Immortal didn’t stay longer and returned to the Burial Ground first.

After Purple Immortal left, Gu Xi called Li Yufang to help with the final arrangements.

Watching Purple Immortal’s departure from afar, Li Yufang felt a lingering fear.

”Young Master, that Purple Immortal is too fierce, we only dare to face ordinary thunder of the Death Incarnation, and he directly confronts Celestial Thunder?”

”That’s his own skill, even though his current level is similar to yours, he actually has the ability to face those Celestial Immortals directly.

Aside from the top few, other Celestial Immortals might not be his match one-on-one in hand-to-hand combat.”

Gu Xi shared his assessment of Purple Immortal.

Li Yufang was surprised by Gu Xi’s high evaluation of Purple Immortal.

Seeing Li Yufang’s confused expression, Gu Xi hinted, ”Did you see the Death Incarnation that Red Immortal released earlier?”

Li Yufang nodded affirmatively.

”You might not know, her Death Incarnation, if only based on realm, has surpassed the Celestial Immortal level, yet Purple Immortal, a battle-hungry person, did not ask Red Immortal to release her Death Incarnation to fight him.

Do you think it’s out of sibling affection, or because he’s already fought it, and found it not to be his match?”

Listening to Gu Xi’s question, Li Yufang fell silent, as just like Gu Xi said, was it really sibling love that kept Purple Immortal from challenging Red Immortal’s Death Incarnation?

That’s impossible; the only explanation is that Purple Immortal has already fought it.

Found the battle unsatisfying.
