Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 797: Chapter 795: Upgrade Begins

”Guest, your silver coffin has a total of seven layers of magic arrays. I think some are already broken, so let’s simply discard them.

Just keep the most core Angel Alliance, and that’s enough.

We’ll erase the rest, and in the cleared spaces, we’ll set up other arrays. Finally, I’ll find someone skilled in art to change the style of these murals.

The Evil Coffin you placed inside is already inhabited by an Other Ghost.

The movement of the Evil Coffin requires the function of the Other Ghost. Personally, I believe a single Angel Alliance is sufficient to suppress the Other Ghost.

If you’re not assured, we can add another array specifically for suppressing the Other Ghost.

In the remaining spaces, we can carve arrays to speed up, defend against various attacks, automatically replenish mana, and self-clean.

These magic arrays are much smaller than the ones currently in front of us.

With the vacant spaces here, we can arrange at least eleven sets of magic arrays.”

Listening to the shopkeeper, Gu Xi couldn’t help but think: Isn’t that so?

This silver coffin came from the real world, where Angel Alliances are the basic arrangement.

In this world, although Pei Xin City is a place where schools and libraries are concentrated, there truly aren’t experts capable of arranging an Angel Alliance magic array.

Repairing those magic arrays on the silver coffin would likely be quite difficult.

The best approach now is indeed to keep the most important Angel Alliance.

However, Gu Xi proposed other ideas.

”I need an upgrade in speed and need something more noticeable. I’m an Undead Mage, and replenishing Yin Qi and Negative Energy is also what I need. Additionally, I need some space for installing inlays.

Furthermore, we must not only care about the external situation but also adjust the internal as well.”

”Let’s handle the external matters first. Right, no matter what magic arrays you want to set up, you must leave space for me at the top and bottom of this silver coffin. You’re supposed to sit at the top, and I need to arrange a space expansion array there.

Only then can I arrange a seating space for you. If you haven’t installed wheels below, you’ll need to arrange an anti-gravity array, and I need to find someone to handle that.

Internally, I feel that using arrays for reinforcement, negative energy gathering, and energy expansion would be appropriate.”

The shopkeeper continued in line with Gu Xi’s ideas.

Gu Xi occasionally brought up his own opinions and requests, and the shopkeeper continually adjusted and revised.

If it was truly unfeasible, the shopkeeper would also offer suggestions, asking Gu Xi whether to reduce some effects or go out and invite some experts.

Having traveled around the real world, Gu Xi was quite resourceful.

In Gu Xi’s mind, if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well.

If the shopkeeper was not capable, then finding someone was naturally the best choice.

At the same time, the silver coffin needed some adjustments and repairs. The silver coffin was much larger than the Evil Coffin, and when the Evil Coffin was placed inside, there was still quite a bit of space left over.

Some of these spaces could be divided into different areas.

Previously, these spaces were used for burial goods.

Now, naturally, they were for Gu Xi’s own items.

Additionally, the iron chains wrapped around the Evil Coffin also needed fixed positions.

As one question after another arose, more and more people arrived at the shop.

After coming to an agreement with Gu Xi, they would immediately start working, adjusting the magic arrays and rearranging the silver coffin as needed.

Gu Xi, on the other hand, was in charge of providing materials.

These materials were either purchased from the real world or obtained from another world.

In any case, their quality exceeded normal people’s imagination.

With the investment of these materials, the quality of Gu Xi’s silver coffin finally did not decline due to the operations of these people.

After about a day, the silver coffin was finally completed.

Additionally, a type of green liquid according to Gu Xi’s plan had been prepared.

This green liquid was a formula found by Gu Xi in the ”Taishan Prefecture’s Secret Record.”

It’s used for soaking the Undead, its effect somewhat similar to the Evil Wood Lake in Yalidu City, though more targeted.

Gu Xi himself couldn’t prepare this formula; it was the materials he provided, and the shopkeeper had someone help mix it.

There were also two formulas mixed together to strengthen the Other Ghost inside the Evil Coffin.

One was a golden sphere, the other was lumps of flesh.

The flesh formula was provided by the shopkeeper, usually used to nurture flesh mounts and enhance their quality.

The golden sphere was a formula provided by Gu Xi, processed by someone the shopkeeper invited.

Of course, all materials were provided by Gu Xi to ensure the quality of what was made.

Now, all the flesh was applied to the surface of the Evil Coffin, the golden sphere placed in front of it, allowing the Evil Coffin to absorb the golden aura emanating from the sphere.

This is a means of gentle conditioning.

According to the shopkeeper, most people who upgrade mounts themselves wouldn’t think of this point. They would just upgrade their mounts directly, as long as they found enough materials.

However, doing so would affect the potential of the mount. If not handled properly, it might even influence the success rate of the mount’s upgrade.

Only by nurturing for a few days first and letting the mount adapt to the upgrade materials, then proceeding with the upgrade, can the mount’s potential remain unaffected.

Now is the perfect time for nurturing. This nurturing and adjustment will still take three more days.

It’s just enough time for the shopkeeper to finish adjusting the silver coffin.

Looking back at the helpers the shopkeeper invited, Gu Xi felt that if it were him, he probably couldn’t have invited so many people.

Noticing Gu Xi looking at him, the shopkeeper, who hadn’t slept all night, showed a slight smile.

”Don’t worry, guest. We’re handling this separately now. The lid side has already been set up, and we’ll finish it by tomorrow.

The interior of the silver coffin has been sectioned, and we can inject the potion by tomorrow.

The shell is almost done, and we’ve fully protected the Angel Alliance magic array. There won’t be any issues.”

”I know,” Gu Xi nodded with satisfaction, already seeing that this shopkeeper was indeed reliable in his tasks.

Many processes were very professional, and many details that Gu Xi hadn’t thought of were already considered by the shopkeeper.

Seeing Gu Xi satisfied, the shopkeeper was quite happy too.

This time, he invited a large number of experts, which did cost him some favors.

However, these experts gained quite a bit from this work.

To say nothing of the various high-quality materials they could use freely, just the complete Angel Alliance array was enough to make their trip worthwhile.

With this experience, it would be much simpler to invite experts for help next time.

These were his future assets.
