Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Tianhai City.

Zhang Yi had Yang Xinxin handle the communication of battle plans with the six major regions, while he himself flew above the Tianhai Fortress, sitting atop the circular dome, gazing out in all directions.

Climbing high to see far, when you can observe everything around you, it always gives a person the feeling of being in control of everything.

But the distant beyond, that endless ocean, always instills a sense of fear in people.

This time, Zhang Yi had flawlessly repelled the Mist Valley forces’ attack.

But what about next time?

The existence of the Gatekeeper of the Underworld was like a knife hanging above his head, ready to fall at any moment.

He furrowed his brow, and from here he could faintly see the distant construction crews.

Baili Changqing led the members of the Shadow Troop in rigorous training by the banks of the Lu River.

The wars had little impact on them at this point, so daily training had to continue.

But once the Gatekeeper of the Underworld appeared here, coming to find him as the Sky Dragon King had said, then everything in Tianhai City, this peaceful nation Zhang Yi had painstakingly built over three years, would completely collapse.

”Underworld. Gatekeeper.”

Zhang Yi softly murmured this name, the Sky Dragon King’s warning still echoing in his ears.

He had already tried very hard to grow stronger, already surpassing everyone he knew of.

But compared to that incomparably powerful Black Armor Transcendent from back then, he still had a massive gap.

It was like an insurmountable chasm spanning between the two of them.

Zhang Yi had once considered countless possibilities for battling that Black Armor Transcendent, but the result was invariably his own defeat and death.

”Right now, all I can do is try my best and leave the rest to fate. If it truly comes to the worst, I’ll have no choice but to abandon everything here.”

Zhang Yi spoke these words in as gentle a tone as possible.

He had come so close to building his ideal nation.

But when that time came, perhaps all eighty thousand people in Tianhai City would die.

Mu Yan’s Shadow Space wasn’t that large, at most it could hold a few thousand people. When the time came, he would take a core group and flee, and that was the best he could do.

Just as Zhang Yi was feeling deeply troubled, Tianhai City’s alarm system suddenly sent him an alert.

”A fighter aircraft is entering Tianhai City’s airspace!”

”The other party has already filed a report in advance with the Jiangnan Region, identifying themselves as coming from the Western European island nation of Bechilan.”

Zhang Yi looked bewildered.

”Bechilan?”

What the hell kind of place was that? He had never even heard of it, and he didn’t seem to have any friends studying abroad in a familiar country.

It was probably just some obscure small nation. Why would someone come from there?

Zhang Yi said, ”Ask them who they are and what they’re doing here.”

Very quickly, Tianhai City’s air defense intelligence system asked these two questions on Zhang Yi’s behalf.

In less than ten seconds, Zhang Yi received their reply.

”I come from the Eye organization, my name is Wilder Pratt. This time, on behalf of the Eye organization, I have come to deliver an important gift to Lord Chaos!”

Zhang Yi had never heard of any Eye organization, much less anyone named Wilder Pratt.

So the other party’s words only left him more confused.

But fortunately, he understood that last part.

They were here to give him a gift!

Zhang Yi immediately designated a landing point for that fighter aircraft, and without any courtesy, directly deployed the Tianhai City Cannons to target its position.

The moment he detected anything suspicious from the other party, Zhang Yi would destroy that aircraft instantly!

”Rumble, rumble-”

That state-of-the-art armed helicopter, the Bald Eagle Type I, landed at Tianhai City’s airport.

Zhang Yi brought Huahua along, traversed through space to arrive, but didn’t rush to approach. Instead, he maintained sufficient distance to observe the aircraft.

”I don’t know anyone from any Eye organization. Explain carefully, why have you come looking for me, and why do you want to give me a gift?”

Zhang Yi spoke to them from several kilometers away.

Although with his strength, danger was unlikely to arise.

But what if there was someone inside that armed helicopter with a special ability, who could potentially catch him off guard?

So what if they were Epsilon-class? So what if they were Black Chariot-tier?

If intent met with unpreparedness, even these humans with formidable combat power could be killed.

In these recent special times, Zhang Yi didn’t dare be careless about anything.

Wilder Pratt stepped down from the helicopter, and hearing Zhang Yi’s voice by his ear, immediately turned to look around.

But forget people, he couldn’t even see a single bird feather, and couldn’t help but laugh.

According to their intelligence, this Transcendent called Chaos was extremely peculiar. Despite possessing power that could be called world-class, he was incomparably cautious.

He had thought his understanding of Chaos’s caution was already sufficient, but he never expected that even when facing an ordinary human like himself, the other party would be this careful. This really opened his eyes.

After Pratt stepped off the helicopter, Zhang Yi also carefully observed him.

Pratt raised both hands, smiling as he said, ”It’s normal that you haven’t heard of the Eye organization, but I think the high-level officials of the Huaxu Nation by your side certainly know of our existence. Because we’ve had no shortage of dealings between us.”

”Please rest assured, we harbor no ill intent in coming here this time. We’ve come to give you a gift! This gift, I can guarantee, you will definitely like!”

Zhang Yi thought about it. Among the people by his side, very few had access to high-level officials.

So Zhang Yi directly contacted Deng Shentong.

”Hey, Zhang Yi, what are your orders?”

Deng Shentong asked directly, his tone grave, thinking Zhang Yi needed him to provide support in Tianhai City.

Zhang Yi rolled his eyes.

”Let me ask you, have you heard of the Eye organization?”

”The Eye? Of course I’ve heard of them. What, has someone from their group contacted you?”

”Yeah, someone from their side suddenly showed up, saying they want to give me a gift.”

”That’s not strange. With your current level of strength, it’s only a matter of time before you come into contact with them.”

Deng Shentong then explained the Eye organization to Zhang Yi.

”This is a very ancient and mysterious organization. Their earliest name was the Free Masons. The purpose of the organization’s founding is unknown. Perhaps too much time has passed, and many of the original principles have been forgotten.”

”I only know that they are now the most mysterious and powerful membership organization in the world. Those who can enter are without exception elites from various fields. There are even leaders of some nations among them!”

Zhang Yi nodded, roughly understanding now.

”A membership-based institution. Organizations like this are basically founded for the sake of huddling together for warmth and then collectively seizing benefits. Nothing surprising about that.”

Deng Shentong laughed. ”Due to my status, I never joined them, so I don’t know much either. I’ll just warn you, be careful when facing them. Because many of them are master manipulators. One wrong step and you’ll be fooled by them.”
