Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

The East China Sea Major Region lay in dead silence, devastation everywhere, corpses filling the streets.

In the operations command center, Li Guangxiao, the supreme commander of the East China Sea Major Region, slumped back into his chair in defeat. He hung his head low, his facial features twisted with unbearable anguish etched across his face.

After this battle, the East China Sea Major Region had suffered a devastating blow to its strength. A massive number of soldiers had been lost, and who knew how long it would take to train replacements.

Population was, in itself, one of the most precious resources of the apocalypse.

Even worse, their Epsilon-class Transcendent, Qinglong, was suspected to have been killed by the enemy.

This alone dealt the East China Sea Major Region an unacceptable loss.

For a considerable stretch of time to come, they would struggle to mount an effective fighting force to contend with the naval fleet of Colombia, the overlord of the seas.

Still, he had to pull himself together. This was no time for him to wallow in despair.

”Organize personnel immediately to rescue the wounded! Order the medical units to treat Xuanwu, Zhuque, and all Transcendents at Captain-level and above first!”

”Issue a city-wide announcement that we have won this defense battle for East Sea City, and reassure the people!”

”Additionally, the damaged city walls need to be repaired promptly. The bodies must also be disposed of quickly to prevent an outbreak of plague.”

”Also, keep a close watch on activity around the ocean, so no one takes advantage of the chaos to loot!”

Li Guangxiao’s composed demeanor steadied the hearts of his subordinates nearby.

They had all been exceptionally demoralized, their hearts nearly flooded with despair.

But seeing their commander still calmly directing the overall situation gave them renewed hope for the East China Sea Major Region’s recovery.

”Yes, Commander!”

”I’ll have people carry it out immediately!”

The subordinate officials around him snapped to attention as well, immediately organizing post-battle recovery efforts.

Only when everything was running smoothly again did Li Guangxiao sink back into his chair.

He propped his chin on both hands, his expression dark and ominous.

If Colombia’s navy were to invade at a moment like this, they would hardly be able to put up resistance and would face complete catastrophe.

Just then, the chief secretary approached and reported a piece of news to him.

After hearing this news, an incredulous look flickered across Li Guangxiao’s eyes, and then he lay back in his seat like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

”At least it’s a silver lining in this misfortune.”

Because the news he received was that at the very same time the East China Sea Major Region was attacked, Colombia’s Ocean Fleet stationed in the Neon harbor had also been struck by a mysterious force, suffering heavy casualties!

...

Neon harbor, the garrison point of the Colombia Ocean Fleet.

A vast harbor, and now more than half of it was submerged beneath the seawater.

The colossal sea beast that General Silver Armor had transformed into could summon a tsunami with a single roar, swallowing the entire harbor!

Cadillus could manipulate seawater as well, but in terms of ability level, he was far inferior to Silver Armor.

Even relying on the power of Heaven-tier weaponry and space-based weapons to hold the line temporarily, he could at most defend himself, and had absolutely no hope of achieving victory.

As the battle dragged on, Silver Armor had thoroughly figured out the nature of his abilities, and his attacks grew increasingly reckless.

In this battle, Colombia’s navy had been forced to reveal every card it held!

For the first time since the apocalypse, they showcased their weapons system to the entire world.

Various types of highly destructive anti-Transcendent missiles, seventh-generation Bald Eagle armed aircraft, and massive artillery batteries.

All fear stems from insufficient firepower. Thermal weapons had a diminished effect on Transcendents, but they were not completely ineffective.

Aside from individuals like Zhang Yi, who possessed near-immunity to the vast majority of physical attacks, everyone else could still be threatened by high-yield thermal weapons.

Even the Underground Civilization was no exception.

In this battle, the Colombia navy suffered even heavier losses than the East China Sea Major Region.

After all, the colossal sea beast could directly destroy the naval base, turning the vast majority of warships into scrap metal sinking to the bottom of the sea.

...

In terms of timing, the battlefield in the Jiangnan Region erupted later.

Having been invaded at nearly the same time, perhaps even slightly earlier, was the Northeast Major Region.

Compared to the East China Sea Major Region and the Colombia naval base, the situation in the Northeast Major Region had been turned around thanks to the arrival of the National Protection Army, reversing the tide of what was about to become a total collapse.

Han Shanzuo had the good sense to leave, going off on his own to deal with the Black-White Commander and the other Azure Armor warriors.

The main battlefield of Fengtian City was left to the commander of the National Protection Army, Chen Xuanba!

The north wind howled, frigid snow and sleet swept across the land, and the air was thick with the heavy stench of blood. Fengtian City was littered with corpses and the breath of death everywhere.

This man in the military overcoat had nearly half his face hidden beneath the brim of his cap, revealing only a lower jaw carved with the hardness of a knife blade.

Across from him, the Silver Armor gripping a massive blade narrowed his eyes, staring at the man before him.

He found it quite amusing.

A human ability user, daring to openly challenge him.

But none of that mattered. Everyone who stood in the way of his blade had to die!

”Let me grant you death!”

Silver Armor raised the blade in his hand, and a terrifyingly immense energy surged forth from his body. Even his armor could barely contain his imposing physique and muscles that seemed about to explode.

”Heaven’s Collapse!”

He made only the simplest of movements, raising the giant blade high overhead, then viciously slashing it downward!

”BOOM!!”

In an instant, an ear-splitting roar tore through the air. As the blade came down, the air churned into wild chaos. An overwhelmingly powerful, infinitely dangerous force extended outward through the air, cleaving directly toward Chen Xuanba’s head!

In that mere instant, Chen Xuanba raised his head, revealing eyes sharp as blades beneath his military cap.

”Military Dao Killing Fist!”

Facing Silver Armor’s assault, he neither dodged nor evaded. Instead, he drew his right arm back like a drawn bowstring, and his fist, clad in a black deerskin glove, slammed violently into the incoming Qi Force!

”Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain!”

As the fist lashed out, a powerful stream of Qi Force blasted forth in a spiraling fury, colliding head-on with Silver Armor’s attack in mid-air!

BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!!!

The two forces of Qi smashed into each other, forming a massive vortex zone, like a man-made tornado that instantly obliterated everything in the surrounding area.

Both men immediately realized that the other was someone similar to themselves, an Enhancement-type Transcendent!

The Strengthening-type pursued the absolute limits of the body. They ceaselessly excavated their physical potential, seeking greater power, sharper reflexes, swifter speed, and even more unassailable defense!

Unlike other Transcendents, who relied heavily on their supernatural powers, a Strengthening-type Transcendent possessed devastating combat capability on their own, even without any special ability at all!

Like Liang Yue, the mere Qi Force they condensed from sheer physical strength alone was enough to split mountains and shatter stone!

If Liang Yue was a grandmaster among martial artists, then Chen Xuanba, who had served in the military for sixteen years, fought his way to the rank of field officer with nothing but his bare fists, and was promoted to lieutenant general after the apocalypse, was a grandmaster among the military!
