Helping Beautiful Women Become Stronger, I Have a Love System

27: Chapter 27 Can I sleep in the same bed with you?Inside the elevator.

Ji Guangli lowered her head slightly, her gaze resting on the mirror-like elevator doors, which reflected the figures of her and Cao Kun standing side by side.

She could clearly hear her own heartbeat, which had lost its rhythm, and the slightly heavy breathing of Cao Kun beside her.

She had seen his little gesture of secretly giving a thumbs-up to the front desk clearly through the blurry reflection, and in her heart, she felt both amused and a sense of indescribable sweetness.

This fool, he actually thought he was just lucky.

With a ”ding,” the elevator reached the floor.

The two walked out one after the other, found their room, and swiped the card to enter.

The room was clean and tidy, with warm-toned lighting creating an atmosphere that was cozy and slightly intimate.

The two beds occupied the center of the room, leaving their gazes with nowhere to rest.

”Boss, do you want to shower first, or should I?” Cao Kun put down his backpack, trying to break the silence with a casual tone, but his voice still betrayed a hint of tension.

”I... I’ll go first.” Ji Guangli took out her prepared change of clothes from her suitcase.

It was a set of light pink ice-silk pajamas, soft and form-fitting, the kind she usually only wore when she was home alone.

As she walked into the bathroom holding the pajamas, she felt her cheeks burning slightly.

The bathroom door closed gently, and soon the sound of trickling water could be heard.

Cao Kun sat on the edge of the bed, listening to the sound of the water, while images uncontrollably surfaced in his mind.

Warm water sliding over Ji Guangli’s fair skin, wetting her long, dark hair...

He quickly shook his head, forcing himself to look at his phone, but he couldn’t focus at all.

He kept admonishing himself: stay calm, follow the rules.

But another voice was clamoring: what a rare opportunity! A man and a woman alone in one room...

Inside the bathroom, Ji Guangli was equally unsettled.

The warm water washed over her body, but it couldn’t wash away the restlessness in her heart.

Looking at her flushed cheeks and misty eyes in the steam-filled mirror, she realized for the first time, with such clarity, that she was voluntarily stepping into a night filled with uncertainty and temptation.

She felt nervous, even afraid, about what was about to happen, but deep down, her liking and trust for Cao Kun, along with an urge to completely break free from the shackles of the past and experience true emotions, pushed her forward.

When Ji Guangli walked out of the bathroom wearing those ice-silk pajamas, wiping her damp, long hair with a towel, Cao Kun felt his breath hitch.

With her office makeup removed, her skin appeared even fairer and more delicate under the lights. Her slightly reddened cheeks carried the moisture from her bath, and her wet hair clung to her temples, making her look less sharp than usual, replaced by a pure, lotus-like beauty and... sexiness.

The soft material of the ice-silk pajamas faintly outlined her beautiful body curves, with a delicate collarbone exposed at the neckline.

”What are you looking at?” Ji Guangli felt a bit uncomfortable under his direct gaze. She scolded him playfully, then walked over to the vanity, sat down, and began to comb her hair with her back to him.

”No... nothing. Boss, you look... quite good in this.” Cao Kun came back to his senses, swallowed hard, and walked over diligently, saying, ”It’s not good to sleep with wet hair. Shall I dry it for you?”

”No need, I’ll do it myself.” Ji Guangli refused immediately, her voice a bit hurried.

Let him help dry her hair? Just thinking about that kind of intimate contact made her heart race.

Cao Kun was a bit disappointed, but he didn’t insist. He rubbed his nose and said, ”Alright, you go ahead, Boss. I’ll go take a shower.”

He grabbed his change of clothes and practically fled into the bathroom.

The bathroom still held the lingering scent of Ji Guangli after her bath, mixed with the smell of the hotel’s body wash, creating a unique, evocative fragrance.

Cao Kun splashed his face with cold water to barely suppress the heat in his heart.

He took a quick shower, changed into a clean T-shirt and shorts, and walked out.

Ji Guangli had already dried her hair and was leaning against the headboard looking at her phone, but her eyes clearly weren’t focused on the screen.

Seeing him come out, she glanced up, then quickly looked away.

Cao Kun’s hair was still dripping, revealing his smooth arm muscles and long legs. He radiated the fresh aura of a young man, causing Ji Guangli’s heart to skip a few more beats.

The two got settled, lay in their respective beds, and chatted absentmindedly for a few moments. Then they prepared to go to sleep.

But Cao Kun was really unwilling to give up. Just then, he saw the mineral water on the table, and an idea suddenly struck him.

He picked up the half-finished bottle of mineral water, pretended to be careless, and gave his hand a shake. ”Oops!”

Most of the water poured precisely onto his bedsheet and quilt, instantly soaking a large area.

”What happened?” Ji Guangli was startled, put down her phone, and looked over.

Cao Kun looked ”annoyed” and ”innocent”: ”Sorry, Boss. I accidentally knocked over the water, and the bed is all wet...” He pointed to the obvious wet patch.

Ji Guangli frowned slightly and got up to check: ”How could you be so careless? It’s too wet to sleep on. Call the front desk and have them bring up a clean set of bedding.”

”No, no, no!” Cao Kun hurriedly stopped her, excuses ready on his tongue.

”It’s so late, the front desk is probably resting, and there might only be one person on duty. It’s not good to bother them for something like this. Besides, changing the bedding is such a hassle...”

He paused, stole a glance at Ji Guangli’s expression, and cautiously suggested: ”Look... how about... we squeeze together? I promise, I’ll just sleep properly on the edge, absolutely no crossing the line! I’m very well-behaved when I sleep, really!”

Ji Guangli looked at his sincere eyes, then at the soaking wet bedsheet, and immediately understood seventy or eighty percent of the situation.

This guy, he definitely did it on purpose!

She felt that the development of things seemed to be deviating from her original, simple idea of just sharing a room, heading in a more dangerous and ambiguous direction.

A sense of panic rose up, and she should have sternly refused.

But... when she saw the undisguised expectation in Cao Kun’s eyes, even with a hint of pitiful pleading, her heart softened.

Thinking of his meticulous care over the past few days, thinking of him carrying her through the rainy night, thinking of his exhaustion while watching by her hospital bed... the words of refusal reached her lips but turned into a faint sigh and a trace of indulgence she hadn’t even realized.

”You... do you really promise?” Her voice was very low, tinged with uncertainty.

”I promise! I swear to heaven!” Cao Kun immediately raised his hand, his eyes incredibly sincere. ”If I do anything improper, may I be struck by lightning!”

”...Well... alright.”

Ji Guangli finally nodded, turned around, and lay down with her back to Cao Kun. She pulled the quilt up to her chest, leaving him only a slightly tense back view.

”You... sleep further away.”

”Got it!” Cao Kun was overjoyed.

Satisfied, he turned off the main light, leaving only a dim night light on, and then cautiously lay down on the other side of the bed, with a gap in between that could almost fit another person.

However, distance could not isolate their perceptions.

The room quieted down, and their breathing was clearly audible to each other.

Cao Kun could smell the faint scent of Ji Guangli’s body and the fragrance of shampoo coming from the quilt and pillow, mixed with the scent of the hotel’s detergent, forming a unique, highly seductive fragrance.

His body was stiff, and he didn’t dare to move. His heart was pounding in his chest like a drum, and the sound of his rushing blood seemed to roar in his eardrums.

With a beautiful woman by his side and her alluring scent filling the air, how could he, a young man full of hot blood, possibly have no impure thoughts?

A battle raged in his mind; reason told him he must keep his promise, but instinct clamored for him to move closer, to embrace that soft body so close at hand.
