Helping Beautiful Women Become Stronger, I Have a Love System

14: Chapter 14: Are you missing your sister?Cao Kun held the phone, his heart racing slightly. He composed himself and dialed Long Huili’s number.

The phone rang barely once before it was picked up. Long Huili’s familiar voice, tinged with a bit of laziness and allure, came through the receiver. The background noise seemed a bit rowdy. ”Hello? Little brother, did the sun rise in the west today? How did you think to call your big sister? Do you... miss me?”

That voice seemed to have hooks in it, instantly bringing back memories of the erotic scene in the Subway restroom, causing Cao Kun to stand at attention immediately.

He cleared his throat, suppressed his agitation, and followed her lead with a laugh. ”That’s right, I miss you very much. I’ve recently studied a few new moves and I guarantee you’ll be... well, satisfied.” His tone was also laced with innuendo.

”Really?” Long Huili’s voice clearly brightened.

But then it dropped again, filled with regret. ”Sigh, today won’t work. I have to accompany the boss to a very important dinner party; I can’t get out of it. Another day, definitely another day!”

Cao Kun expressed his regret at the right moment. ”That’s such a shame.”

”What’s there to be sorry about?” Long Huili resumed her tone of mischievous laughter. ”Next time, let’s find a crowded place and play something even more exciting to make it up to you properly. How about it?”

”No problem! I’ll definitely make sure you enjoy yourself when the time comes.”

Cao Kun agreed readily. Feeling that the atmosphere was sufficiently set, he changed the subject. ”By the way, sister, actually... there’s a small favor I’d like to ask of you. I’m not sure if it’s convenient?”

”Why are you being so polite with me? Speak up! If I can do it, I definitely won’t let you down.” Long Huili was very straightforward.

Cao Kun was delighted and quickly said, ”It’s like this. The company I’m working for now does advertising design, planning, and material printing. The scale is decent, and our qualifications are all in order.”

”We’ve learned that Xuefen Food has a promotion plan for new products recently. Is there any need for advertising services? I was wondering if it would be convenient for you to help us pull some strings and see if there’s an opportunity for cooperation?”

He then gave a brief and concise introduction to the advantages and business scope of Xingchen Advertising.

After listening, Long Huili pondered for a few seconds. ”Oh, this matter... let me think. I think I heard Manager Li from the Marketing Department mention it a couple of days ago, saying the contract with the previous advertising company was about to expire, and he was asking for the Chairman’s opinion.”

”The Chairman is busy with a thousand things every day; how could he care about such a small matter? He told the manager to handle it himself.”

”How about this, I’ll give Manager Li a call and ask if it’s been decided yet. If it’s not completely set in stone, I’ll put in a word for you and have him give you some business. It shouldn’t be a big problem.”

Cao Kun was somewhat surprised. Did Long Huili, a mere secretary to the Chairman, have this much power?

He asked cautiously, ”Sister, would this make things too difficult for you?”

”Pfft, what’s so difficult about it?” Long Huili’s tone was relaxed.

”Given the size of your advertising company, just a few scraps from Xuefen would be enough to keep you full.”

”With my influence, as long as everything hasn’t been finalized, it’s no problem to carve out several million in business for you.”

Several million!

Cao Kun’s heart jolted, once again updating his understanding of this woman’s power.

It seemed he would have to put more effort into serving this ’big sister’ in the future.

”Then thank you so much, sister! I’ll wait for your news.”

”Alright, wait for my call. I’ll get back to you after I ask.”

After hanging up, Cao Kun didn’t go back to the office upstairs. Instead, he found a shady spot by the flower bed downstairs, lit a cigarette, and calmed his excited emotions.

Before he could finish the cigarette, his phone rang. It was Long Huili.

”Little brother, I’ve checked.” Long Huili’s voice carried a hint of a smile.

”It just so happens that part of the business hasn’t been finalized yet, mainly the packaging design for several new product series, as well as the subsequent printing and production of promotional materials. All in all, there’s a budget of about two to three million a year.”

”Do you think this amount is okay? If you think it’s too little, I’ll have him find a way to divert some more to you from elsewhere.”

”It’s enough, it’s enough! Sister, this is already very good! Thank you so much!” Cao Kun said hurriedly.

Two to three million! For Xingchen Advertising’s Department Two, this was definitely a huge deal that could greatly boost morale and change the competitive landscape!

With this deal, they would win easily.

”Then prepare the contract and relevant qualification documents. In a few days, just come to our company and find Manager Li to sign it.”

”In a few days?”

Cao Kun’s heart tightened; he understood the principle that long delays lead to complications.

”Is today or tomorrow not okay? We can go over anytime.”

”Manager Li went to the City of Luo on a business trip to inspect the Branch Factory there; he won’t be back for three days,” Long Huili explained. ”If you’re in a real hurry, you can also go directly to the City of Luo to sign with him. Anyway, it’s only a hundred or so kilometers from Zhongzhou, not far.”

So that was it.

Cao Kun breathed a sigh of relief, as long as it wasn’t an intentional delay.

”Okay, I understand. Sister, I really owe you one this time! When you’re free, you must give me a chance to thank you properly!”

”What a sweet talker! Alright, I’m busy now, so you guys get ready. Once you decide whether you’re coming to the company or going to the City of Luo, let me know in advance so I can give Manager Li a heads-up.”

”Okay, sister, I’ll report to my supervisor immediately and let you know once we’ve decided!”

Ending the call, Cao Kun threw a punch into the air, his excitement beyond words.

He stubbed out the cigarette, turned, and sprinted into the office building at top speed. He even found the elevator too slow and ran up the stairs in almost one breath.

With a ”bang,” Cao Kun pushed open the door to Ji Guangli’s office, startling her as she was looking down at some documents.

The colleagues in the outer office area were also disturbed by the noise and looked up one after another.

They saw Cao Kun panting, his face flushed, with beads of sweat on his forehead, but his eyes were incredibly bright.

”Cao Kun, you...” Ji Guangli frowned, displeased by his reckless behavior.

”Supervisor! It’s done! It’s done! I did it!”

Cao Kun didn’t wait to catch his breath; he rushed to the desk, leaning on it with both hands, and repeated excitedly.

Ji Guangli was a bit dazed by him. ”What’s done? Slow down, and close the door.” She gestured toward the open door.

Cao Kun turned and slammed the door shut, but this also caused several curious colleagues outside, like Sister Zhang and Xiao Wang, to immediately move quietly to the door and prick up their ears.

”Xuefen Food! The deal with Xuefen Food is on!” Cao Kun lowered his voice slightly, but his excitement hadn’t diminished at all.

Ji Guangli was stunned. Her first reaction was disbelief.

She leaned back in her chair, crossed her arms over her chest, and looked serious. ”Cao Kun, I’m in no mood for jokes right now.”

”Do you know how long I’ve been in contact with Xuefen Food? Do you know how difficult their Manager Li is? You went out for just a little while and you’ve already made the deal?”

”Are you kidding me?”
