The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

The two childhood friends developed a shared hobby: visiting mother and baby stores to get things for their wives and children.

Like comfortable pajamas and slippers for postpartum rest, and pretty little clothes for the kids.

The two men would even have big arguments over whose child had bigger eyes.

”My little angel has a birthmark on the shoulder. Can you guess what it is?” The slightly chubby man’s eyes shone with pride.

The cool guy frowned and asked, ”Left or right?”

The slightly chubby man laughed and said, ”Right.”

The cool guy muttered, ”My little princess has a birthmark on her left shoulder too.”

The slightly chubby man’s eyes lit up, ”Such a coincidence? Is it also a flower?”

”Yours is a flower too?” The cool guy was surprised.

The slightly chubby man nodded, ”Can you guess what flower it is?”

The cool guy furrowed his brow and said, ”Could it be an epiphyllum flower?”

”Eh? How did you guess it right away? Don’t tell me...” The slightly chubby man was shocked, ”Don’t tell me it’s also an epiphyllum flower?”

The cool guy said, ”This is too much of a coincidence... one on the left, one on the right.”

”Maybe it’s fate, maybe in a past life they were childhood friends just like us!” The slightly chubby man joked.

The cool guy rolled his eyes and replied irritably, ”Forget about past lives, just in this life, they won’t have a choice but to be childhood friends, right? With our families’ relationship, plus the fact they were born on the same day of the same month and year, they’re destined to be together through kindergarten, elementary, and middle school!”

”High school, too, just like us!” The slightly chubby man laughed, ”Once the two kids turn one month old, let’s take them out to meet each other and be friends from the start!”

”We live just upstairs and downstairs from each other; do we need to wait until they’re one month old?” The cool guy rolled his eyes again.

The slightly chubby man said very seriously, ”The kids are too young; they shouldn’t be exposed to the wind. We must wait until they are a month old to take them out.”

The cool guy twitched his mouth, ”We have an elevator, just wrap them up a bit snugly, I’ll bring my kid to your place, you don’t need to bring yours over.”

The slightly chubby man looked sympathetically at him.

The cool guy responded irritably, ”What kind of look is that?”

The slightly chubby man sighed, ”I’m worried you’ll get a beating from your wife when you go back.”

”Do I seem like the kind of guy who’d get beaten by his wife?”

...

At the elevator, the slightly chubby man waited. When the door opened, he saw the cool guy without a child. Surprised, he asked, ”Weren’t you going to bring the kid? Why are you alone? Hey, what happened to your eye?”

The cool guy sidestepped and said evasively, ”It’s nothing, just got scratched by the cat at home.”

”Cat? Didn’t you send your cat to your parents as soon as you found out your wife was pregnant?”

”Now that the baby’s born, of course, we’re bringing it back. Alright, alright, stop nagging! I’m here to tell you that my kid is asleep and can’t come.”

”What about tomorrow?”

”Tomorrow won’t work either; the kid has been spitting up milk and can’t go out.”

”Oh, I see...”

”Hey! What’s with that look?”

The slightly chubby man hid his sympathetic look, knowing this childhood friend of his never admits things easily, so he didn’t expose him and nodded, ”Got it, we’ll wait for the kids’ one-month mark to let them meet.”

”Yeah, I’m going now.” The cool guy, covering the scratch at the corner of his eye, slunk away.

Their cat was still at his parents’ place and wasn’t back yet. The scratch wasn’t from the cat; it was from suggesting to take the baby out, which angered his wife.

...

When the kids turned one month old, a banquet was held for both of them.

The two children finally met each other, babbling away as if they were conversing, but appeared to be very close, as if they had known each other for many years.

The adults were astonished to find that the epiphyllum flower birthmarks were identical.
