The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

”So many... are all batteries?”

”It’s possible, just a hypothesis.”

”You can make such a guess just based on your intuition? Your imagination is huge.”

Little Taotie climbed onto Hua Jinyan’s bed, her small hand touching Hua Jinyan’s skull.

Hua Jinyan saw her bare feet and quickly pulled up the blanket to cover them.

Hua Jinyan’s face was a bit red.

After Little Taotie finished touching his skull, she said seriously, ”Your head is so round.”

Hua Jinyan’s face turned even redder.

But Little Taotie’s next sentence made his face go pale, ”Such a round head is perfect for shaving, you’re fit to become a high monk.”

Hua Jinyan: ”...”

Little Taotie said earnestly as if negotiating, ”When you grow up, shave your head so I can see if your scalp is white or not, it’s always hidden under your hair, I can’t see it.”

Hua Jinyan: ”... Does it matter if it’s white?”

”Of course it matters, a high monk’s scalp must be very white.”

Hua Jinyan: ”I probably don’t have a white scalp.”

”How could it not be white, you’ve done so many good deeds, completed many tasks, and solved a lot of Ghost problems, your merit may be slightly less than mine, but it’s still a lot, enough to become a high monk.”

”I’ve never thought about becoming a monk, when I grow up I want to have a family and a career.”

”Have a family and a career?” Little Taotie tilted her head, ”But you already have a career now, you don’t need to wait until you grow up, you’re just missing the part about having a family. Don’t worry, you can be like Ji Gong, and become a monk on the day you start a family.”

Hua Jinyan: ”... Do you want me to become a monk?”

Little Taotie nodded seriously, ”I want to see your shiny, white head.”

Hua Jinyan: ”... If you want to see, I can just shave my head, no need to wait for me to become a monk.”

Little Taotie’s eyes lit up, ”Right, you can shave your head too! When will you shave it? Can I shave it for you?”

Hua Jinyan: ”... Are you for real?”

”Of course, I’m not joking.”

Her strong curiosity stemmed from hearing Brother Shen say that if Hua Jinyan hadn’t met her, he would have stayed in the Shaolin Temple his whole life, avoiding trouble there as a child, and shaving his head to become a monk when he grew up, dedicating his life to practicing Buddhism.

Little Taotie found it hard to imagine what Hua Jinyan would be like if he had grown up in the Shaolin Temple, or what he would look like after shaving his head and dedicating himself to Buddhism, which is why she was so curious.

Even though Brother Shen had no basis for saying this, it felt like he was just fooling around, but Little Taotie vaguely felt that it might be like that. As Hua Jinyan said, maybe it was just an intuition, feeling that things would turn out as Brother Shen said.

If Hua Jinyan hadn’t met her, he might have sought refuge in the Shaolin Temple due to being easily attacked by Ghosts, and the Rainbow Relic would never have been reclaimed, remaining in the hands of villains. Hence, he could never leave the Shaolin Temple for life, and ultimately could only become a monk. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have a legitimate reason to stay in the Shaolin Temple for his whole life. As a child, he could be said to stay in the temple to learn martial arts, but after growing up, he’d inevitably be disliked. Only by becoming a monk could he truly stay behind.

As Little Taotie was lost in thought, Hua Jinyan fetched an electric shaver.

Little Taotie was surprised, ”There’s really a shaver in this Ancient Castle?”

Hua Jinyan handed the shaver to her, pushing his neck forward and moving his head toward her, ”Go ahead.”

Little Taotie: ”You won’t regret it, right?”

Hua Jinyan shrugged indifferently, ”Hair grows fast, once shaved, it’s shaved, there’s nothing to regret.”
