The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

After the dough was kneaded, Lou Lan had nothing to do momentarily, so she watched Elder Chen make the pizza.

Lou Lan didn’t have much talent or interest in cooking and had no clue how pizza was made.

Watching Elder Chen make pizza now was quite educational for her.

Elder Chen rolled the dough into a round cake, put it into a baking tray, and poked countless holes into the surface with a fork—these were vents.

After poking the holes, he directly spread sautéed pork liver sauce on the crust, sprinkled a bit of black pepper, then evenly layered some finely shredded cheese. He then arranged slices of pork liver into the shape of a blooming flower, and added green pepper and onion.

Finally, another layer of cheese was added, this time using intact strips rather than shredded cheese. Layer upon layer transformed it into a thick layer of cheese.

Once all the steps were completed, it was up to time and the oven to finish the task.

”Does she want anything else to eat? While the pizza is baking, should I make her a dessert?”

”You’re going to make it yourself?”

”Of course!”

Lou Lan gave a thumbs-up: ”I didn’t expect Elder Chen’s cooking skills to be so good.”

Elder Chen’s tone turned indifferent: ”I’m old now, no need to go on missions, better to make something rather than staying idle till death.”

There was no way to respond to that.

Lou Lan coughed slightly: ”I’ll make a phone call to ask her.”

Lou Lan stepped aside from Elder Chen for a moment.

The organization also thought that Elder Chen was getting old and wanted to take care of him, but the bigger reason was... Elder Chen’s student died in a conspiracy. Elder Chen had always been investigating this matter. If he were given too many tasks, there was a risk that someone involved in those tasks was related to the past conspiracy. If Chen wasn’t calm and made a wrong judgment, it would be catastrophic.

Lou Lan dialed the phone; Little Taotie was happily swinging her little legs and listening to Sister Yuanyuan talking about food.

”Huh, who’s calling me?”

Seeing the unfamiliar phone number, she felt a bit puzzled.

”Is it a scam call? Don’t answer unfamiliar numbers.” Yuanyuan was always worried.

Little Taotie nodded obediently and hung up the phone.

The phone rang again.

Little Taotie hung up again.

The phone rang yet again.

Little Taotie hesitated a bit but hung up nonetheless.

Then a message came.

She clicked to open the message.

Before Little Taotie could read it, Yuanyuan leaned in to look, ”Surely a scam message, don’t believe it—”

Her voice stopped.

She saw what was on the message.

—It’s me, Lou Lan.

Just these four words made Yuanyuan break out in a cold sweat.

Little Taotie blinked, looking at Yuanyuan in confusion, ”Sister Yuanyuan, why would a scammer pretend to be Lou Lan?”

Jiang Si suppressed a laugh: ”Is there a possibility that she is actually Teacher Lou herself?”

Little Taotie: ”But Sister Yuanyuan said she was a scammer.”

Yuanyuan: ”I... I didn’t say anything.”

Little Taotie looked confused.

Yuanyuan sighed despondently: ”You didn’t hear anything, it wasn’t me, it wasn’t me who told you to hang up the phone...”

Little Taotie: ”Sister Yuanyuan, you can’t lie.”

The phone rang again.

Little Taotie wanted to hang up, saying: ”That scammer keeps calling! I won’t fall for it!”

”No, no, you better answer it! Answer quickly!” Yuanyuan was anxious.

Jiang Si looked at her sympathetically, feeling that once the disguise was removed, she’d be in for a painful consequence!

Little Taotie blinked: ”Not a scammer? I can answer?”

”Answer, hurry up, please! I’m doomed!”

Little Taotie answered the phone, and Lou Lan’s gentle voice came through: ”Sweetie, why weren’t you answering the phone?”

Little Taotie wasn’t used to Lou Lan calling her that, her face flushed, and her soft voice instinctively became gentle, ”I thought it was a scam call, an unfamiliar number.”

Lou Lan didn’t mind and laughed: ”You should save my number for future calls.”

”Okay, I’ll save it as soon as I hang up.”

”Good girl! Sweetie, do you want any dessert?”

”Dessert?”

”Yes, cake, chocolate, what do you feel like eating?”

Little Taotie thought of the food Yuanyuan had just described and blurted out: ”I want to eat persimmon cake with butter!”
