The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1435: Chapter 1435: A Visit to the Imperial Palace

”Just now, I asked those citizens, and they said the shouting old man was an old General who fought alongside the Founding Emperor. Now that the Founding Emperor has passed away and the New Emperor has ascended, he fabricated grave charges against the old General. These crimes implicated nine generations, so all these people have been brought here for execution as a public spectacle.”

Upon hearing this, Little Taotie was incredulous: ”Is such a thing possible? Did the Founding Emperor have only this one bad son? Was there no other son to inherit the throne? Why choose him?”

Feng Qi: ”Isn’t the priority now to save these people?”

Because there were too many people being brought for execution, and with limited executioners, they carried out the beheadings in batches. The first to lose his head was that old General, followed by his wife and children, then his siblings, all direct relatives, and then the extended family...

Half of them have already been beheaded. If Little Taotie and Feng Qi intervene, they could save these people.

Little Taotie calmed down and asked in return: ”Can we actually save these people?”

Feng Qi was taken aback.

Previously thought to be young and naive, Little Taotie was rather calm at this moment, with even a trace of indifference in his eyes, his voice neutral: ”We aren’t from this realm. If we act recklessly, it will provoke thunder, and we might not withstand the thunder punishment and perish. Even if we survive the thunder by chance, these mortals will certainly be affected, and none will remain, dying miserably.”

Right now, they are just being beheaded, and with effort, they leave a whole corpse.

But if the thunder scorches everything on a grand scale, all will be charred, shattered and indistinguishable amidst the blackened remains.

Dying like this is too undignified and tragic.

Feng Qi sighed: ”Then let’s go, out of sight, out of mind.”

Little Taotie nodded, taking one last deep look at the blood-soaked execution ground, and said: ”Let’s go to the Imperial Palace.”

”For what?” Feng Qi asked.

Little Taotie’s gaze turned somber: ”I want to see what the New Emperor is up to.”

Feng Qi seemed to understand her intention; thunder might affect innocent bystanders here, but if those fish were the New Emperor...

Perhaps it could be interesting...

With that thought, Feng Qi snapped her fingers, changing their original route, and the next moment they were inside a splendid palace.

A theatrical troupe was invited to perform for the Empress Dowager to relieve her boredom, while the most enchanting actress from the troupe was in the palace garden being affectionate with the New Emperor.

Feng Qi appeared just as the couple was about to shed their clothes; the New Emperor was so startled he nearly wet himself and fell to the ground, where a sharp stone happened to land in an awkward place, possibly ending his manhood forever.

”Who are you!” the New Emperor, angered by the interruption, yelled.

With his shout, the royal family’s Hidden Guards appeared one by one, totaling eight men.

These eight were the burliest of strongmen!

The visual impact was indeed breathtaking, and as the eight men approached with clenched fists and fierce expressions, Feng Qi was internally panicking but maintained a proud demeanor, lifting her head haughtily: ”We are immortals, aren’t you going to bow before the immortals?”

”Hahaha, what a joke! I am the mortal emperor; all under heaven kneel before me. I will never kneel before anyone in my lifetime!”

As soon as he finished speaking, a red shadow flickered before his eyes, and then a burning pain spread across his face.
