Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

”That eight percent is a very long story...” Julian Carter sighed, and slowly, with clear logic, told Joshua Hughes the story he heard from Eliza Bell today.

When he finished speaking, Joshua Hughes let out a long breath. The people involved in this old story were more or less connected to the Hughes Family, but without needing to inquire or investigate, he knew the story was true enough, because his grandfather had two wives in his lifetime. The first wife of the Hughes family was rumored to have made a big mistake and was expelled from the family, bringing trouble to her own family who endured much hardship. Thinking this way, it must be true.

The former Madam Hughes hadn’t started showing yet when a girl from a fishing village by the sea came looking for her. By seven months, her belly was already very telling. According to the Hughes family’s rules, if the girl from the fishing village bore a son, he would be eligible to inherit the family business. So, a momentary thought turned murderous, destroying a seven-month-old fetus.

”Now, go investigate that Luke Harrington. Among the old folks in Las Vegas, there should still be quite a few who remember him. At which casino did he lose it, and how did he lose it back then? A man with three missing fingers is pretty easy to find.” Joshua Hughes thought for a moment, paused: ”Never mind, I’ll personally make a trip to Las Vegas, you keep an eye on the company here, and get that person found quickly. Leaving her around is a risk.” Avery Jane has been unusually quiet these past few days, perhaps taking her out to have some fun would lift her spirits.

Suddenly remembering, Joshua Hughes asked: ”Did she sleep with you?” Julian Carter’s mouth felt as if he had swallowed an egg, this damned man, did he have to ask this? He had already done so much for him, how could he still joke about it? Thinking of Eliza Bell, that little fox, filled him with discontent.

You disgust me, can’t I disgust you in return?

”Boss, haven’t you noticed I’ve liked you for years? I’ve done everything for you, you should treat me better in the future.” Julian Carter said this sickeningly, feeling waves of nausea surging inside, it was as if the water he drank was boiling within.

Joshua Hughes slowly leaned close, his ink-black eyes looking at Julian Carter, then said deeply: ”How about tonight?”

Unable to hold it back anymore, Julian Carter darted into the bathroom like a rabbit, retching. Even the bloodiest deeds of the past didn’t make him feel this nauseated. After he finished puking, he opened the door, and that scoundrel of a man gave him a meaningful smile and turned to leave. That smile was full of implications, perhaps mocking his lack of self-control.

Bastard........

Not even having a cup of hot tea, he drove back swiftly, there was still much to be done, the woman who sneaked into Joshua Hughes’ bedroom seemed to have vanished into thin air. He had to find her quickly, apart from the disgust, employers like Joshua Hughes, generous and trusting, were rare, and he learned much from him.

The lights in the room were on, the young girl probably slept too much during the day, watched more TV at night.

”Avery, how about we go to Las Vegas tomorrow?” Joshua Hughes removed his robe, lying next to her with his upper body bare. She smelled fragrant, like she had just bathed, very pleasant. No one brought up the matter of the photo recently. He didn’t mention it because he couldn’t explain it, and since Avery Jane said nothing, he wondered if she was planning to spend their last time together well. If one day she remembered, would she leave without hesitation? Thinking of this, his heart seemed to fall into a black hole, so he stopped thinking about it for fear of dying from heartache.

”Why?” Avery Jane was watching a matchmaking show, watching the men and women bicker, she grinned, revealing a small slit in her lips.

:”To relax a bit, you’ve never seen a casino, have you? I’ll take you to see it.” Joshua Hughes’ hand slowly caressed her waist, the soft and elastic skin was enticing, like creamy pudding.

:”Okay.” She replied crisply.

The large hand slowly moved downward, and as it did, the room temperature steadily rose, becoming flirtatious and mesmerizing: ”Stop it........” The woman’s voice was soft and syrupy, almost dripping, which incited the man to an even bolder conquest. Moments later, the man’s heavy breathing and the woman’s soft moans intertwined, composing together this night full of passion and springtime allure........
