Medical and Martial God

Conspiracy?

Ye Xiu pondered seriously!

Sending a large army to attack Red Water City was indeed a conspiracy.

And there were three:

First, let Lin Lei know that Lin Mu and the civilian martial artist army had been wiped out, luring Lin Lei to invite Kristina to discuss military strategy, allowing Ye Xiu to sneak in as well.

This objective had already been achieved;

Second, to continue stalling for time, the battles on various fronts would end in two or three days, and the army attacking Red Water City should be delayed until all forces are stationed at Xiaoyao Island;

Third, to intimidate and scare the martial artists of King Island, and incidentally, kill more of them.

”The enemy’s conspiracy is certainly not simple!”

Ye Xiu sneered; he definitely couldn’t tell the truth and bluffed:

”I estimate that the real target of the enemy is the Royal City, and Red Water City is one of the four defensive cities of the Royal City. Capturing Red Water City and using it as a stronghold to engage in a tug-of-war and prolonged battle with the warriors of the Royal City and even all of King Island.”

The old white-haired man retorted on the spot:

”The enemy is not as foolish as you think. Not to mention whether they can capture Red Water City, even if they do, without external reinforcements and logistical supplies, we don’t need to retake Red Water City, nor engage in a tug-of-war with them. We just need to encircle but not attack, and they’ll starve to death.”

Ye Xiu gave the old man a disdainful look and said:

”Are you sure the enemy attacking Red Water City has no reinforcements? Red Water City, as one of the four defensive cities of the Royal City, is richly stocked and can hold out for years. Can we afford to wait as they can?”

The old man’s face turned red from embarrassment and dissatisfaction:

”Can you be sure the enemy attacking Red Water City has reinforcements?”

Ye Xiu chuckled: ”Old white-haired sir, did you major in arguing in school?”

Poof!

Kristina and others in the Thousand Mechanism Hall almost burst into laughter.

The old white-haired man, flustered, said: ”I’m just being realistic. What evidence do you have that the enemy attacking Red Water City has reinforcements?”

Ye Xiu countered with a question: ”May I ask, how many people do the Allied Forces of martial artists from all over the world, the Heavenly Sect, Hell’s Gate, Restorer Alliance, Prisoners’ Descendants Alliance, and Lin Feng have in total?”

Gah!

The old man was speechless!

Lin Lei said: ”As far as I know, the Allied Forces of martial artists from all over the world have over 5 million, the Prisoners’ Descendants have more than 870,000, Lin Feng’s rebellious son took away 480,000, but as for the Heavenly Sect, Hell’s Gate, and the Restorer Alliance, the numbers are unknown!”

Ye Xiu quickly took note of the numbers of the Prisoners’ Descendants Alliance and Lin Feng’s army, which he didn’t know before.

Kristina added: ”Also, more than eight million mutated beasts are in the enemy’s hands.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Xiu asked the white-haired man: ”How many enemy forces are attacking Red Water City?”

The white-haired man’s face turned extremely ugly, but he still replied truthfully:

”According to reports from the new City Lord of Red Water City, there are fewer than 2 million enemy troops.”

Ye Xiu asked: ”Do you still dare to say there are no reinforcements for the enemy attacking Red Water City now?”

The white-haired man: ”...”

With this, everyone in the Thousand Mechanism Hall no longer dared to underestimate ’Lei Xiaoming’.

Lin Lei said: ”According to Lei Xiaoming, the enemy intends to capture Red Water City, keeping an eye on the Royal City, so let’s discuss how to break the enemy’s plan!”

The white-haired man was the first to speak: ”Immediately gather forces to annihilate the enemy attacking Red Water City.”

Ye Xiu became anxious upon hearing this; he must not let those people be wiped out — if they die, who will delay the time? He said:

”I don’t think it’s appropriate!”

”What’s inappropriate?” the white-haired man asked angrily: ”Lei Xiaoming, are you saying the enemy attacking Red Water City shouldn’t die?”

”They should, of course, they should die!” Ye Xiu said: ”But they are more useful alive than dead.”

”Nonsense!” the white-haired man cursed: ”Are you suggesting we let them capture Red Water City and then advance into the Royal City?”

Ye Xiu looked around at everyone and said: ”The old white-haired man has eaten explosives. Who has urine, hurry and pour it into his mouth to extinguish the explosives.”

Kristina: ”...”

Lin Lei: ”...”

Everyone: ”...”

They were truly impressed by ’Lei Xiaoming’s’ cursing skills!

”You...”

The white-haired man, furious, grabbed Ye Xiu’s collar and roared:

”You damn brat, who are you saying has eaten explosives?”

”Haven’t you?” Ye Xiu asked.

”Nonsense!” the white-haired man shouted angrily: ”Of course, I haven’t.”

”Then you must have a problem with your brain!”

Ye Xiu shrugged, looked at Lin Lei, and asked:

”Your Majesty, logically, only wise people capable of managing their emotions well are qualified to enter the Thousand Mechanism Hall to discuss military strategies. How did the old white-haired man, who is irritable and unpredictable, and brainlessly stupid, get in through the back door?”

Before Lin Lei could answer, the white-haired man exploded again, shouting:

”Lei Xiaoming, you bastard, how dare you call me irritable, unpredictable, brainlessly stupid. I will, I will beat you to death.”

As he said this, he punched towards Ye Xiu’s face, thoroughly enraged, he couldn’t out-argue Ye Xiu, so he resorted to violence!

”Stop!”

Lin Lei intervened, pulling the white-haired man away, and reprimanded:

”This is the Thousand Mechanism Hall, a place of military strategies, not a marketplace.”

Then he told Ye Xiu:

”Lei Xiaoming, this white-haired man you spoke of is ’Yuan Wu,’ he is Zhuge Qingfeng’s sworn brother, and because of your grudge with the Zhuge Family, Yuan Wu has some reservations about you.”

Ye Xiu finally understood why Yuan Wu had been hostile towards him for no reason when he first entered the Thousand Mechanism Hall; it was because he was Zhuge Qingfeng’s sworn brother.

He thought he ought to take some time to deal with this white-haired man to eliminate future troubles!

He said: ”Your Majesty, rest assured, I’m a junior, I won’t stoop to the level of an elderly person.”

Lin Lei and Kristina, among others, were speechless at the time, thinking, you almost drove Yuan Wu to death, yet still said you wouldn’t stoop to the level of an elderly person.

Yuan Wu was so angry at Ye Xiu’s words that his anger doubled, attempting to retort but was stopped by Lin Lei.

”Enough, if anyone dares to cause trouble in the Thousand Mechanism Hall again, they will be killed without mercy!” Lin Lei said coldly.

Yuan Wu immediately quieted down, no longer daring to attack Ye Xiu!

Seeing Yuan Wu ’withdraw,’ Lin Lei asked Ye Xiu:

”Why are you against Yuan Wu’s suggestion to send troops to annihilate the enemy attacking Red Water City?”

Ye Xiu thought for a moment and asked: ”Apart from the enemy currently attacking Red Water City, do Your Majesty and everyone know where the six enemy forces of the global martial artist alliance and the mutated beast army are hiding?”

Everyone was stunned for a moment, unable to figure out why Ye Xiu suddenly asked this question.

Yuan Wu instinctively wanted to retort, but upon recalling Lin Lei’s order, he quickly shut his mouth.

”Lei Xiaoming, just say what you have to, don’t keep us guessing,” Lin Lei said.

Ye Xiu nodded and said: ”In war, whoever controls the initiative has the victory tipping in their favor. We could annihilate the enemy attacking Red Water City, but what happens after they are annihilated? Waiting for the other hidden enemies to attack Red Water City again? Or other city mansions? This way, wouldn’t we be led by the nose by the enemies?”

”What I mean is to give Red Water City to the enemy, then lure out the other hidden enemy forces, and then we’ll destroy them in one fell swoop.”

Ye Xiu’s remarks were mainly to stall for time, as Lin Lei, once ordering the martial artists and residents in Red Water City to evacuate and give up the city,

could then use Red Water City as bait to lure the six enemy forces and the mutated beast army to converge at Red Water City.

This way, the purpose of stalling for time would be achieved!
