Medical and Martial God

Lin Mu didn’t sleep all night, he was really worried the enemy might suddenly raid them while he was asleep.

Especially since the enemy had an Earth System Totem Inheritor who could toss bombs from underground into his room, it was impossible to guard against!

”Have the War Gods above the Fourth Realm at the other three battlefields all arrived?”

As soon as dawn broke, Lin Mu called for the head of intelligence and asked.

”They’ve just arrived!”

The head of intelligence yawned and said.

”Immediately gather all War Gods above the Fourth Realm and attack Moon City,” Lin Mu ordered.

The head of intelligence was taken aback: ”Now? The War Gods above the Fourth Realm from the other three battlefields have come a long way, taking side paths to stay hidden, and just went through a hail of bullets yesterday. They are all very tired right now, launching an attack now seems unwise, doesn’t it?”

Lin Mu glanced at the time: ”The enemy hasn’t woken up yet, it’s the perfect time to catch them off guard. Tell everyone, if we take Moon City, I’ll let them indulge for three days; they can do anything they want.”

Upon hearing this, the head of intelligence went to wake up the War Gods above the Fourth Realm.

Initially, when this group learned they were being pulled out of bed so early to attack Moon City, they were full of complaints, secretly grumbling and cursing Lin Mu for treating them like livestock.

However, when they found out that after taking Moon City, they could enjoy themselves freely for three days, they instantly perked up like they had been injected with adrenaline.

”Fourth Prince, can we really indulge freely for three days after taking Moon City?”

After the troops were assembled, someone asked Lin Mu.

They had to confirm, to prevent Lin Mu from going back on his word later!

”When this prince gives my word, I keep it. As long as we take Moon City, within three days, you can do whatever you want, any issues, I’ll take responsibility,” Lin Mu said with a broad smile.

These words were more effective than any pre-war mobilization speech. As soon as Lin Mu finished speaking, all the War Gods above the Fourth Realm cheered with excitement.

”Charge!”

Lin Mu drew his long sword and charged to the front.

”Charge!”

More than six thousand War Gods above the Fourth Realm drew their weapons and howling in excitement, followed Lin Mu toward Moon City.

They had every confidence in taking Moon City!

Seventh Realm, 629 Sixth Realm, 1582 Fifth Realm, 3837 Fourth Realm.

This force could easily crush any of the world’s martial artist allied forces, Heavenly Sect, Hell’s Gate, Restorer Alliance, Prisoners’ Descendants Alliance, Lin Feng, or Mutated Beasts army.

Even if these forces allied together, they would still be obliterated by this strength.

Note that the Eternal Kingdom’s Official Family only had 3,500 War Gods above the Fifth Realm, while there were as many as 2,389 among the civilian martial artists.

Not to mention the 3837 Fourth Realm and Lin Mu’s own private soldiers!

With such formidable strength, taking Moon City was a cinch!

”Huh? Why is there no movement at all?”

Lin Mu led his army, stopped under the city walls of Moon City, and the head of intelligence wondered aloud.

”Just a bluff, charge in!”

At this moment, Lin Mu didn’t care about any schemes in Moon City. Even the Royal City would tremble in fear in front of the power he now held. Mere Moon City, even with schemes, would be crushed like clay chickens and pottery dogs in the face of absolute strength.

”Charge!”

The army stormed the city!

The mere ten-meter-high walls couldn’t stop ordinary martial artists, let alone War Gods above the Fourth Realm.

Thousands jumped up directly onto the city walls and were collectively stunned as they prepared to start the massacre.

The city wall was utterly empty.

Not only were there no people, but not even a single hair could be seen.

”Where is everyone?” Lin Mu frowned.

The head of intelligence chuckled: ”The enemy forces in Moon City must have known you ordered the gathering of War Gods above the Fourth Realm from the four armies, so they fled ahead of time.”

Lin Mu shook his head, doubtful: ”They are invaders, here to attack King Island. They would never flee without fighting.”

”Makes sense!”

The head of intelligence nodded, saying:

”Could it be that the enemy has broken down into smaller groups and mixed in with Moon City’s civilians, making us falsely believe they fled? After we leave Moon City, they would then launch a major assault into King Island’s interior?”

After saying this, the head of intelligence suddenly noticed Lin Mu’s head grew three sizes larger.

”Even though Moon City is a county, because of its many mountains, its area is twice that of an ordinary county and it has a population of over a million. If the enemy has broken into small groups and gone into hiding, once I order the full city search for the enemy, every one of them would become assassins, killers who would use every means to kill anyone from my army who becomes isolated.”

Lin Mu, jumping with anger, yelled in frustration:

”If I don’t order a city-wide search for enemy forces, then what’s the point of taking Moon City?”

The head of intelligence pondered for a moment, then said:

”How about this, we guard the four city gates, order everyone in the city to leave through the gates, and screen them one by one. The enemy wouldn’t dare to leave, so after all the civilians have left Moon City, only the enemy forces would be left.”

Long Mu’s eyes brightened: ”Though this method is a bit stupid and will take a long time, it’s the only good strategy we have right now. You go handle it.”

”Okay!”

The head of intelligence immediately went to relay Lin Mu’s orders, but the War Gods above the Fourth Realm weren’t pleased when they heard it.

Weren’t we promised three days of fun after taking Moon City?

What fun is there if we drive all the civilians out of Moon City?

Left with no choice, Lin Mu had to promise: ”Once the people cleared through inspections from Moon City are sent to Nine Cities, everyone will be split into three teams, each working 8 hours, and those off duty can head to Nine Cities.”

Only then were the War Gods above the Fourth Realm satisfied to carry out Lin Mu’s plan.

...

Nameless Island, temple!

”Madam’s move is clever!”

Dizang chuckled and said:

”With a population of over a million in Moon City, inspecting each person one by one would take over a month. This move can buy us enough time.”

Yet Ye Xiu wasn’t pleased, he said:

”Qin Qing’s move is indeed clever, but she shouldn’t have ordered a night raid on the enemy’s three paths after the War Gods above the Fourth Realm from the enemy’s east, west, and north three armies left. If even one enemy escapes to Nine Cities or Moon City, Lin Mu would deduce that Qin Qing and the others had long since left Moon City.”

Dizang was taken aback, thinking the young master was indeed meticulous; he hadn’t seen the flaw in madam’s move, and asked:

”So what do we do?”

”Cover for her, what else!”

Ye Xiu said with a wry smile:

”Inform Jiang Keqing, have the Heaven’s Gate assassins block all roads leading to Dragon City and Moon City, to prevent anyone from sending reports to Lin Mu.”

”Alright!” Dizang nodded.

At this moment, Ye Xiu sighed and said: ”It’s been so many days, why have the three Judicator Families suddenly gone quiet?”

Then he looked at Yasi, and the ten Seventh Realm War Gods of the Golden Family who had been beaten to a pulp, and asked:

”Aren’t you planning to confess yet?”

Yasi, who lay on the ground, beaten to the point of being unrecognizable, weakly said:

”There are no traitors in the Golden Family.”

”Heal them!” Ye Xiu waved his hand: ”Then continue the beating!”

Yasi and the ten Seventh Realm warriors from the Golden Family were speechless. Getting beaten was one thing, but what’s the point of healing and then beating them again?
