Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Leaving behind the group of adventurers to continue wandering around the city, Xuan Hao planned to see if he could gather more information on the cultivation realms of the fragmented continent.

The cultivation realms below the void monarch realm didn’t matter much given the fact that they were easy enough to figure out and compare to the traditional immortal cultivation path he followed, but the realms after the void monarch realm that should correspond to the higher realms within the Profound Immortal Realm were completely foreign to him. Only the void monarch realm looked familiar enough that he could pin its strength down to somewhere around the Breaking Dawn Realm of the Profound Immortal Realm.

Beyond the Void Monarch Realm was the Void Integration Realm followed by the Void God Realm.

The strength of someone at the Void Integration Realm was a complete mystery, as he could only tell that the cultivation path itself seemed to have come about because of the unique environment of the fragmented continent. Allowing one to integrate into the void itself to some extent, a completely unknown concept to him and at the same time also the main reason why he had no idea how to judge the strength of someone at the Void Integration Realm, as he had never encountered someone like that before.

As for the Void God Realm above that, he knew even less. Only knowing that the main power behind those divine lands were beings at this level. Making him suspect that the strength of someone at this realm might reach the Venerable Realm or at the very least place one incredibly close to the Venerable Realm.

No matter what, he had a feeling he wouldn’t stand a chance against someone at the Void God Realm with his current strength that hadn’t even broken through to the Star Creation Realm, let alone steal a law fragment from one of them that was required by the task that had been assigned to him for this unique floor of the ascension tower.

The only thing he could do when it came to that impossible to complete task was make a futile attempt when he had made proper use of the unique environment of the twenty ninth floor of the ascension tower to elevate his comprehension of the Dao of Space to the Origin Realm. Giving him the opportunity to use the Dao of Space as a foundation for the internal world that had formed inside his dantian and bring him closer to the Peak of the Land Creation Realm where he would finally start the process of preparing to reach the Star Creation Realm. The final sub realm of the Profound Immortal Realm that stood between him and the Venerable Realm.

Continuing through the city while thinking about the unique cultivation path of the fragmented continent, he finally found himself standing before the city lord’s mansion at the very heart of the city. The place where he had felt a presence comparable to that of the Land Creation Realm from afar.

Of course, the person inside shouldn’t be someone at the Land Creation Realm. Not different from how the different cultivators and adventurers he had encountered so far weren’t in the Core Formation Realm or Nascent Soul Realm, but instead just caried a similar presence in terms of strength.

The question he had and the reason why he had approached the city lord mansion was to figure out if this city lord comparable to the Land Creation Realm was someone in the Void Monarch Realm or someone at the Void Integration Realm.

Unfortunately for him, those adventurers had no clue about the strength of the city lord and had only expressed that it should at the very least be a senior at the Void Monarch Realm.

In the end, though they seemed to know about the general layout for the cultivation realms of the fragmented continent, their knowledge when it came to those upper echelons like the city lord standing above them, they didn’t know much.

Then again, that could be considered understandable given the fact that their own strength was only at the Nascent Soul Realm.

It was like asking a wandering cultivator of the Blue Sea Empire about the strength of an ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire. The other party might know about the Celestial Immortal Realm’s existence and would know that the old ancestor should at least be a figure of this realm, but if he asked if the other knew if the old ancestor was at the Early Stage or Late Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm or above that, he would similar be of little help.

He could find stronger adventurers or even a few of those who were part of the city guard to learn more detailed information, but that felt a bit redundant when he could just go over and pay the other party a visit. After all, his current strength made him more than confident in dealing with a city lord comparable to someone at the Land Creation Realm. Even with the other party following an unknown cultivation path he hadn’t encountered before and having the assistance of a city guardian formation, he was confident.

”Stop! Don’t get any closer or- Eeep!” Because of this, as one of the guards stepped forward to stop him upon seeing him approach the entrance to the city lord’s mansion, he casually released a bit of his presence. Scaring the other party stiff, as he quickly turned around and hurried back inside the mansion. Understanding the person before him wasn’t someone a little guard like himself had the ability to deal with.

In any case, Xuan Hao didn’t fear anything going wrong even if he was using a bit of a forceful method to meet the other party. After all, the locals of this floor of the ascension tower weren’t hostile upon meeting and treated him like he was a local from the fragmented continent.

The true challenge of this floor of the tower wasn’t about surviving the dangers it brought, but instead the fact that one had to somehow infiltrate a divine land and successfully steal a law fragment, something he had no plans of attempting until he planned to leave the ascension tower.

Rustle~

Waiting around the entrance for a bit, the guard that had rushed off earlier quickly returned before nervously opening his mouth to speak. ”S-Senior, the city lord invites you inside. P-p-please follow me and I-I will show you the way.” Stuttering far too much for someone at the Dao Seed Realm. Making it clear just how much he had ended up scaring by releasing his presence just now.

Something that was understandable given how his presence was significantly stronger than someone at the Late Stage of the Land Creation Realm and had already reached a level where it wasn’t much different from someone at the Star Creation Realm. In fact, it might even be slightly stronger than that of some weaker Star Creation Realm cultivator.

Meaning, in the eyes of this little guard, he was someone even stronger than the city lord... And he had tried to shoo him away...

Chuckling silently to himself as he thought about this, Xuan Hao didn’t let his amusement show on his face as he gave the guard a silent nod before following him into the city lord mansion.

From start to finish, he had long since sensed a powerful divine sense observing his every move even before the guard had returned to guide him inside. Clearly, the master of the mansion was already keeping an eye on him.

Still, from the divine sense observing him, he sensed something odd, the strength of the divine sense itself.

Although it was difficult to sense at first, as his own divine sense blocked this divine sense from getting too close, he noticed that the divine sense of this city lord who should be comparable to someone at the Land Creation Realm was far weaker than anticipated.

Not only wasn’t it comparable to someone at the Land Creation Realm, but even someone at the Sea Formation Realm would have a stronger divine sense than the other party. Giving him some idea as to one of the potential weaknesses of this unique cultivation path that the other party was practicing.

That is, if the other party wasn’t just someone born with an inherently weak divine sense, though the chances of that being the case were low...

”So powerful! At least a senior at the Late Stage of the Void Integration Realm- no, maybe even someone at the Peak of the Void Integration Realm!” And at the same time Xuan Hao was pondering over the weak divine sense of the other party, the city lord himself was also observing his strength. Showing a clear look of surprise as he came into direct contact with Xuan Hao’s divine sense that seemed vast like an endless ocean light compared to his own divine sense that seemed more like a weak flickering candlelight about to be snuffed out at any second by this ocean of light.
