Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

The expansion of the race of blobs aside, Mui found herself facing a problem she had not expected to face when she officially began the first steps in the expansion of this new race based entirely on Baobao alongside Song Jia... And that was the simple fact that her current strength at the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm might be enough to create one or two more beings similar to Baobao, but to create the hundreds or thousands she imagined populating the heavenly river floating above the Seventh Star Peak, it would take her decades if not hundreds of years to accomplish.

Mui wasn’t someone impatient when it came to the different projects and things she created, but spending hundreds of years on something was still a bit daunting to say the least and caused her to begin considering spending some time on improving her cultivation a bit before she officially began expanding the size of the floating blob race. Not just her, but the same went for Song Jia, whose strength was currently still in the Nascent Soul Realm.

And so, because of the fact that their current strength seemed to be falling a bit behind with the two of them having focused all of their time over the past few years on creating things like the heavenly river now floating above the Seventh Star Peak, Mui made the executive decision for the two of them to focus on improving their own cultivation for the foreseeable future.

Not just to lessen the burden when they officially began the expansion of Baobao’s race, but also because increased strength would mean she might be able to carry out some of the ideas she had wanted to try out in the past but had found herself unable to accomplish with her strength at the Domain Lord Realm.

Upon learning about this, Song Jia was more than happy to follow along with her friend’s decision and focus on cultivating instead of their original goal of expanding the number of Baobaos found on the heavenly river. Having felt a growing pressure knowing that her own cultivation was falling a bit behind the other top disciples in the sect who had already broken through to the Domain Lord Realm.

Although Song Jia herself wasn’t one to strive for being one of the strongest among the disciples of the sect, she didn’t want to fall too far behind the others and definitely didn’t want to end up being so far behind Mui that her assistance wouldn’t matter much in the creation of the things Mui came up with.

With Mui and Song Jia focusing on cultivating instead of causing any massive disturbance like the one caused by the creation of the heavenly river not long ago, Elder Song was able to fully relax and focus entirely on the development of the sect after learning about this from Song Jia herself. No longer having to keep an eye out for anything, Mui and his little granddaughter might be up to

Even if what they did didn’t end up harming anyone, the destruction that could be caused by the antics of Mui still demanded his full attention in case he needed to ask Feng Chen to step in and use the chaotic qi formation guarding the Shattered Star Peaks to avoid any wide scale destruction like he had ended up doing during the creation of the heavenly river.

After all, without Feng Chen jumping in to use the chaotic qi formation to seal off the branching rivers formed by the excess spiritual water cascading down the Seventh Star Peak, the destruction caused by the formation of the heavenly river now floating above the Seventh Star Peak anchored to the space above, the destruction caused by the formation of the heavenly river would have been far more than the overflowing spiritual water from when she had upgraded the qi springs within the qi spring lake at the center of the Seventh Star Peak.

Just imagining how close it had been to him having to once again rebuild half the sect made Elder Song feel a sense of foreboding ever since the creation of the heavenly river. Wondering what Mui was up to after this little success of hers. Feeling especially nervous upon learning how many resources she had managed to obtain from the different elders who had gone to either thank her for creating the heavenly river that directly benefited their cultivation or to seek guidance from her regarding the Dao of Water.

Only upon learning from his granddaughter that she was going to focus her time on cultivating together with Mui instead of creating something new using the resources they had managed to get their hands on following the creation of the heavenly river, did Elder Song find himself relaxing.

Of course, relaxed as he now seemed on the surface, he understood that it was only a matter of time before Mui and his granddaughter returned to their antics... And with their cultivation improved, the trouble they could cause would also increase.

No... To ensure the stability of the sect in the future no matter what that chaotic duo came up with, he not only had to keep an eye on the two of them but also had to make sure his own strength increased.

Only with enough strength would he be able to ensure those two wouldn’t be able to cause any damage to the sect no matter what they ended up creating in the future.

Feeling a new desire towards increasing his own cultivation being born within the depths of his soul, Elder Song also felt his comprehension of the Dao of Order breaking through to an even higher realm, being elevated to the very pinnacle of the Elementary Realm in a single step. Only a short distance away from reaching the Small Success Realm.

Rumble~

And along with this sudden enlightenment that came shortly after Song Jia had left to meet up with Mui again, Elder Song found his cultivation at the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm increasing visibly before he directly began breaking through to the First Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm.

”This... I can’t break through here!” Feeling an understandable sense of panic upon sensing his own cultivation increasing in a seemingly unstoppable fashion, as he understood full well that his home would end up getting ruined alongside the countless documents stored within it that had taken him weeks if not months to carefully write-

Whoosh!

Because of this, he didn’t waste a single second upon sensing his rising cultivation realm as he rushed out towards the ascension tower where the ascension secret realm was located. The location for anyone in the sect breaking through to the Soul Ascension Realm or taking on the later tribulations associated with the Soul Ascension Realm.

He could have broken through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm instead and follow the singular path focused on his Dao of Order and stopped any potential tribulation from descending, but that kind of path wasn’t one he dared to take, as even if the future benefits of going through the Dao Domain Lord Realm were great, the risk involved was in no way small, as there was a clear reason why even those who knew about the Dao Domain Lord Realm outside the Ewaria Continent chose the Soul Ascension Realm even knowing about the increased difficulty of reaching the Profound Immortal Realm in the future following this path. The chance of death when facing the Immortal Soul Tribulation in its entirety was simply too great.

Not to mention, with the current strength of the Star Shattering Sect, Elder Song didn’t exactly have the time to worry about reaching the Profound Immortal Realm or even the Celestial Immortal Realm in the future, as even getting through the immortal soul tribulation alive and reaching the Dao Seed Realm would be considered something to be proud of. After all, the general strength of the sect’s elders was generally still around the Domain Lord Realm and the Soul Ascension Realm with a limited number of elders in the Dao Seed Realm, let alone above that...

Fwooosh-!

And so, Elder Song managed to barely rush into the ascension secret realm in time before his first tribulation officially descended from above. The tribulation of fire that normally took the appearance of lightning contrary to the name of the first tribulation of the immortal soul tribulation, appeared as a gentle fire that burned him while removing the impurities accumulated within his body over the years.

However, given the fact that he had comprehended a powerful Dao that could in some sense stand on the same level as that of the Dao of Time, the Dao of Order, and was even close to reaching the Small Success Realm, he was stronger than the average Domain Lord Realm cultivator taking on their first tribulation.

Together with the fact that he wasn’t that old for someone in the Domain Lord Realm despite his outward appearance and hadn’t used too many pills during his early cultivation beside during his breakthrough to the Core Formation Realm in the past, he managed to get through the tribulation of fire with no problems. Successfully breaking through to the First Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm.
