Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”I hope Elder Song stays back home and just quietly stabilizes his cultivation base…”

Observing Elder Song from the sky above his courtyard, Xuan Hao made sure to hide himself and only when he saw Elder Song sit down and begin stabilizing his cultivation base did he let out a sigh of relief before turning around and flying in the direction of the sect master’s pavilion.

Elder Song was quite well known for how hard working he was in the sect and Xuan Hao did not dare to leave him alone just after he broke through… If he ended up over working himself when he had yet to stabilize his cultivation base, it could cause his cultivation base to regress!

Not that he would go down from the Nascent Soul Realm to the Core Formation Realm, but his strength would decrease by a lot, and he would have to spend a long time recovering before he could resume making progress in his cultivation again.

The worst-case scenario would be for him to directly reduce his own lifespan during this process…

”At least such a thing won’t happen if he stabilizes his cultivation base!”

Shaking his head as he thought about the worst-case scenarios for Elder Song, Xuan Hao slowly landed in front of the sect master’s pavilion.

”Elder Xuan!? H-how can I help you…?”

The moment he landed down in front of the pavilion and made himself visible, a nearby disciple standing close to the entrance stopped him and screamed out in surprise before making his way over with a scared look on his face.

Well… I did suddenly appear in front of him out of nowhere…

”I’m just here to talk to the Sect Master… Is he perhaps still here?”

”Y-yes! H-he should be inside the conservatory at the south side of the pavilion!”

”Thank you, I will be on my way then.”

Smiling kindly at the still scared disciple, Xuan Hao directly left as the disciple let out a relieved breath upon seeing him disappear.

A Core Elder suddenly appeared in front of him while delivering something to one of the sect master’s disciples! How scary!

What would he have done if I wasn’t lucky enough to spot the sect master earlier and knew where he was…?

Shivering at the thought of this as he came up with all sorts of wild fantasies about his possible fate on his way down the mountain, a few weird rumours about Xuan Hao would soon begin to spread among the disciples in the near future. Not that the person in question cared in the first place…

…

Reaching the south side of the pavilion, Xuan Hao soon spotted the conservatory attached to the side of the pavilion.

The conservatory itself was a room with a glass roof and glass walls, it was a nice place to sit outside and relax, while still being inside.

And given that a few dark clouds had begun gathering above, Xuan Hao could see the reason why Feng Chen had decided to use the conservatory instead of just finding a place to sit outside.

”Elder Xuan? What brings you here? D-did something perhaps happen!?”

Not understanding why Xuan Hao suddenly showed up again after such a short time, Feng Chen felt a bit confused at first before thinking that something bad might have happened.

This was the only reason he could come up with for Xuan Hao to come and visit him again in such a short period of time.

”… Nothing bad happened if that is what you want to ask about.”

Rolling his eyes at the meaning behind Feng Chen’s last words, Xuan Hao entered the conservatory and sat down on a comfy chair.

”So… What did you come here to tell me about?”

Watching Xuan Hao as he entered, Feng Chen already manged to grasp that Xuan Hao wanted to inform him about something… And it was not bad news!

Xuan Hao had come with good news!

Upon reaching this conclusion, Feng Chen suddenly became excited as he knew that something Xuan Hao would personally come and talk to him about would be big news! Something big for the Flying Sword Sect!

”…”

Watching the excited expression on Feng Chen’s face, filled with anticipation, Xuan Hao suddenly felt a bit annoyed.

”Elder Song informed me to tell you that he would not be able to help out with the management of the sect over the next few days. During this period of time, he expressed to me that he would be thankful if you could take over for him during this period of time. You are after all the sect master! The most experienced in the Flying Sword Sect when it comes to management!”𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

”…”

Finishing his explanation while keeping out the part about Elder Song breaking through and reaching the Nascent Soul Realm, Xuan Hao smiled secretly upon seeing the colour slowly drain away from the face of Feng Chen as he realized the amount of work, he would have to do over the next few days.

”D-didn’t you come here with good news…?”

Muttering this to himself as he slumped down on a nearby couch, Feng Chen looked over at Xuan Hao with hopeful eyes. Hoping that there was more to it other than him getting a ton of work.

”Elder Song never rests properly, so it’s great news that he finally gets a few days of rest. Personally, I think this is really good news!”

Smiling widely as he said this, Xuan Hao directly left the sad looking Feng Chen in the conservatory before he got the idea to keep him as a helper. Elder Song should be able to come back before they acted against the Raging Flame Sect…

”B-but what about me…?”

Saying this as he thought about the mountains of future work laying before him over the next few days, Feng Chen suddenly felt that the world was a cruel and merciless place.

Even if Elder Song got to rest over the next few days, someone would still have to pick up his work and do it while he was away… And the only person who could do that was him, the sect master…
