Facing an Ancient God for a Year

Chapter 2755: Chapter 2750: 13 Days’ Tales (7)

The moving heat flow, the peering eyes, and then this ebb and flow?

Lady Trish tried her best to remain composed throughout, yet Fu Qian, as an observer, felt that it was emotionally rich and full.

And it was clear that the seemingly free and joyful life in the nursing home was merely superficial.

For those involved, this appeared to be a process filled with changes and entanglements.

On one hand, the distress was indeed being slowly healed; originally, just finding a place to shut oneself away turned out to have therapeutic effects.

On the other hand, this healing brought unrest, because it worked through a highly abnormal psychological perception, to the extent that the person involved even felt their life was withering away—it’s all too normal in a nursing home, isn’t it?

Never escalate problems lightly.

On one hand, not being deceived by Lady Trish’s facade, he keenly insight into the hidden truth.

On the other hand, not easily falling into some magical imaginations due to the eerie description; at that moment, Fu Qian even stood from the perspective of a medical staff, stating that Lady Trish’s reaction was quite classic.

Normally, those needing to visit a nursing home either have an imbalance in physical operation or psychological operation.

And compared to the more obvious healing process of the former, the latter, in Fu Qian’s view, often does not pursue a return to the original state, but rather gradually establishes a new state of balance, accepting a new self.

Once brought into this point, the situation encountered by Lady Trish seems not to require the introduction of Extraordinary Elements?

A skillful woman cannot make bricks without straw; this kind of uncontrollable addiction on her body, limited by objective conditions in this remote corner, ultimately had to be suppressed.

However, reflected in her self-perception, the discomfort was alienated into a special concept, which also seems to be a quite normal psychological mechanism.

In short, based solely on the current situation, Fu Qian believes it can be fully explained by pathological factors.

”So to you, your current self is almost withered?”

And Lady Trish, taking advantage of the pause in emotion, Fu Qian also confirmed with a statement.

”Yes, just one last small step... which is why ’the performance element is quite strong’.”

Indeed, the question-and-answer mode still pressures relatively small, Lady Trish quickly responded.

Additionally, it was clear that she grudgingly recalled a particular evaluation from Fu Qian.

”And then it’s not him?”

Unfortunately, Fu Qian was completely unashamed, merely continuing to indicate to the person on the chair.

”...Yes, it’s not him, I’m very sure.”

Lady Trish was silent for a moment, then nodded again.

Is this really a gain on both sides?

Hoping not only to delay the withering that discomforts her by such means, but also to verify if the other party is indeed the surveilling eyes through what can be considered the most intimate combination.

Fu Qian sighed.

With a slight substitution into Lady Trish’s situation, the role of this male companion is not hard to speculate.

Indulgence sometimes stems from fear of losing something, even when no longer experiencing much joy, remaining proactive perhaps from the impulse to cling to the edge of the cliff to avoid falling.

On the other hand, for the tirelessly searching peeper without results, attempting to ensure every suspicious figure in the nursing home can also be said to be a reaction from Baoneng.

”If my previous behavior has made you uncomfortable, I solemnly apologize here.”

While Fu Qian was understanding generously, Lady Trish seemed to recall something and directly apologized, even using honorifics seriously.

It was clear she referred to treating Fu Qian as a video recorder, honestly speaking it was indeed quite disrespectful.

”Because I can never find them, I am increasingly unwilling to stay in my room... especially when resting alone, it feels very difficult to endure.

”There’s always a face beyond the view, and as soon as you close your eyes, it’ll emerge from the shadows and stare at you...”

In addition to the apology, Lady Trish did not forget to explain herself.

”I understand, so you hope for an extra pair of eyes to help you watch.”

In response, Fu Qian waved his hand, indicating he truly had no negative feelings.

”And my previous appearance was indeed a very suitable choice.”

...

I deem credit where credit is due; in Fu Qian’s view, Lady Trish’s idea was really reasonable.

If I can’t find those eyes myself, let others help me keep watch.

Even if others can’t find them either, it can at least mitigate some of the discomfort of being watched.

This also explains the unreasonable actions before.

Of course, ”watching” here is an abstract term; its essence is paying attention to her, after all, even my eyes are covered.

”So it’s not Servis either?”

Not only did he act with generous understanding, but facing the gradually calming Lady Trish, Fu Qian even directly switched to the next topic, mentioning a previous name.

”No, though it very much seems like it.”

Once again, she shook her head, although Lady Trish this time did not appear as certain.

”I once doubted him, not only because he is the attending doctor here, but also due to his ghostly habits.

”Apart from his own office, Servis can appear anywhere, at any time you couldn’t imagine... Unfortunately, I excluded him long ago, even as of today, everyone in the nursing home has been excluded.”

Was he truly a doctor? Even sounding somewhat like someone calling the shots.

In common film plots, such a character is often the mastermind needing to be confronted ultimately.

”Has he also appeared in your room?”

Fu Qian nodded, continuing to ask.

”Of course, but it’s obvious he’s more interested in women’s minds than their bodies.”

Lady Trish answered quickly, and it sounded like he also deeply damaged her self-confidence.

”I’m sorry, I’m feeling a bit tired; if you don’t mind, I’d like to go back and rest.”

Moreover, her desire to divulge seemed exhausted, she unilaterally proposed to end the conversation.

Such weariness was so clear, not wanting to say another word while also appearing completely indifferent to the male companion’s outcome.

”Of course, I don’t mind.”

For competitors in this mental state, even severe coercion wouldn’t yield high value, so Fu Qian promptly responded amicably, not even minding revealing his next target.

”So, where is Doctor Servis’s office?”

...

”Basement level of the main building, down the stairs at the northwest corner.”

Such amicability gave Lady Trish’s hard stance an impression of hitting empty space.

After glancing at Fu Qian, confirming he wasn’t joking, Trish directly provided a specific address.

”Continuing from there up the mountain, you’ll see many independent buildings; I reside in the third one.”

Not only that, she even additionally explained her residence.
