Chapter 2749: Chapter 2744: Thirteen-Day Discourse (Part 1)

[There is the scent of flowers and tea in the air, the ears filled with the harmony of humans and birds.

Following the footsteps of an old friend, one day you crossed mountains and valleys and arrived at this sanatorium nestled amidst the mountains.

At first, you didn’t understand why such a remote place was chosen, until the road narrowed in front of you and you finally saw those faces untouched by worldly dust.

Here you felt unprecedented tranquility, listened to the inner voice never before attended to, and even indulged in a love for everything.

But it’s best not to forget that you are not a patient, nor do you belong here]

As expected, shortly after the loading is complete, the task introduction appears quickly.

The content even sounds quite authentic, though the wording is somewhat stream of consciousness, the events are still clearly expressed.

A sanatorium in the mountains, you’re playing the role of a visitor, and it seems even unintentionally got your spirit healed a bit.

A very normal development, even when you heard the name of the contained item at the front, you faintly imagined something like this.

It’s a pity that the sanatorium, although it sounds beautiful, has always been a hotbed of horrific incidents.

And the task introduction seems to subtly hint at this.

The most important thing is that as the task introduction ends, Fu Qian confirms his five senses are restored.

Yet at that moment, everything still remained in darkness before his eyes.

Even the body was very stiff, appearing to lack freedom.

...

Sure enough, this doesn’t quite seem like the treatment for a visitor.

Facing such a scene right from the start, Fu Qian not only wasn’t surprised but rather had a feeling that this was how it should be.

Having been certified by various parties as a Scavenger, he long discarded the fantasy of a publicly funded holiday, certain there’s trouble wherever he goes.

Rather than waiting for trouble to erupt from tranquility, causing a disturbance directly is even considered more friendly.

The only regret might be not being able to taste the food here first.

At this moment, Fu Qian was already trying to move various parts of his body.

The conclusion was that he was currently maintaining a sitting posture, with his hands and feet all restrained.

Not only that, but there was also clearly an obstacle in front of his mouth.

Considering the situation with his eyes, it’s likely not just to prevent him from biting, but that his whole head is enclosed in a jar.

So, who exactly was the old friend he was visiting this time?

The restraints on his hands and feet were very sturdy, even the clothes on his upper body seemed connected to the chair back.

Having confirmed his current human condition, Fu Qian wasn’t in a rush to waste energy dealing with these things but grew curious about the past events.

This whole set on his body was actually very classic.

Though they shouldn’t be in a sanatorium but a prison, restraining highly dangerous criminals or the like.

Even if this sanatorium was notably tough, a simple mentally troubled individual shouldn’t be treated to this extent?

Obviously, more importantly, whether a sanatorium, psychiatric hospital, or prison, they should not do this to a visitor.

In summary, Fu Qian didn’t mind the stiffness on his body but grew increasingly curious about the ”old friend” mentioned in the task introduction.

If there truly was such a person, wouldn’t the visitor being treated like this warrant some response?

Or is this the result of such a response?

[Containment achievement condition: leave the sanatorium before Judgment Day on the thirteenth day]

Just as he was pondering, a prompt unexpectedly echoed in his ear.

...

That straightforward, huh?

At that moment, Fu Qian’s sense of surprise was even higher than when he realized visitors had become bound.

Referring to recent performances mainly, the warehouse rarely ever provides such a quick target.

In more than half the situations, you have to wander around two circles before they reluctantly point direction.

Even this time directly, it’s a containment condition.

Such frankness only made people feel it was increasingly extraordinary.

With a click of the tongue in his heart, Fu Qian noted that the task’s style is aligning ever more.

Not to mention that this containment condition, while detailed, its specific content also looked rather startling.

Judgment Day on the thirteenth day?

So, it’s not even a plot about mistakenly entering a dark asylum, losing freedom, struggling for escape?

No matter the number or wording, it involuntarily leads one to think toward Divine punishment.

Will this place turn to ashes after thirteen days? So, he has to escape?

The situation seemed a bit severe, but upon this thought, it was more reasonable.

After all, if there’s no significant danger, having food and drink here doesn’t quite count as an urgent situation.

The situation surprisingly became clearer, Fu Qian expressed deep satisfaction with the warehouse’s performance.

Even merely from observing this target, the task, though heavy, doesn’t appear particularly urgent in time.

The thirteenth day, unless skipping ahead, informing him he’s been experiencing this on site for a long time and now it’s the thirteenth day already.

Otherwise, there seems to be plenty of time for actions—though it doesn’t look like there’s much room for action.

This moment, Fu Qian had already made further exploration, confirming it’s far more than just being tied up, but locks were even placed at key positions.

Unlocking is certainly not the issue, but considering the movement range of his hands is quite limited, finding suitable tools might take some effort.

Even more so, ensuring during the whole process there aren’t any onlookers is best.

Luckily, listening around, the room was indeed very quiet, appearing as if only he was present.

That’s normal, being tied up like this, theoretically even suicide would be tough, there’s truly no need to waste manpower—click!

However, life is always full of surprises. Just at the moment of listening closely, indeed an unusual sound broke out, causing Fu Qian to halt his actions.

...

Someone’s opening the door, even the door directly opposite him.

For Fu Qian, without needing Superman’s hearing, it’s sufficient to confirm a few things.

At that moment, he could even imagine himself, bound from head to toe, placed directly facing the iron door, allowing people outside to see clearly without needing to enter.

A very logical layout, maximizing the avoidance of incidents, but this door opener seemed a bit odd?

He couldn’t hear footsteps, yet Fu Qian immediately noticed the issue.

In fact, it’s precisely because there were no footsteps.

Unless inherently non-human, the circumstance clearly deliberate restraint.

But considering his gear of a dangerous individual, it seems like the doorkeeper had no reason to do this?

No need to worry about him springing to harm, and even harder to imagine due to human care fearing to disturb him—click!

Yet until a faint locking sound came forth, there continued being no heard footsteps.

Hmm—

Luckily, instead, finally other sounds arose from nearby, helping to confirm the doorkeeper had come from outside to inside.

However, this sound seemed rather vulgar—even implying two people?

That’s right, it was the sound of passionate kissing.
