Chapter 1060, Calamity Ancient God

Translator: Silavin

A massive influx of Experience Points surged into Lu Fan. Simultaneously, five orbs of light materialized in succession from the Purgatory Overlord’s carcass. It was a remarkably generous drop rate.

However, Lu Fan’s interest in these light orbs paled in comparison to something else that tumbled down. It was a figure resembling a skeleton.

This was the Ancient God.

Lu Fan directly used his spiritual threads, establishing a connection with the entity. Instantly, he gained a comprehensive understanding of him.

The figure’s appearance was not his true form, but rather an illusion the Purgatory Overlord had imposed upon him.

With the Purgatory Overlord’s death, the residual effects of her Illusion Type Skill were gradually dissipating.

Consequently, the Ancient God’s disguise was continuously peeling away, revealing his true form.

It was actually nothing more than a mass of flames.

These flames were merely the size of a wagon wheel. Due to its weakened state, it burned with minimal intensity.

Moreover, even standing close, Lu Fan could not sense any temperature emanating from the flames.

However, Lu Fan understood that the absence of heat was simply because the entity was not releasing its Ancient God Power to cause destruction to its surroundings.

Once its Ancient God Power was activated, it could melt any Skill or Item in this world. What absolutely tyrannical power!

Because Lu Fan had already established a connection through spiritual threads, he gained deeper insights into the entity.

It was called the Calamity Ancient God.

If Lu Fan’s memory was right, the Purgatory Overlord had mentioned earlier that this Calamity was a High Tier Ancient God.

It made sense. With such overbearing power, capable of incinerating everything in existence, there was virtually no way to counter it, while it could simultaneously counter everything else.

For an Ancient God with such formidable abilities to be a High Tier Ancient God, it was not at all surprising.

Unfortunately, this Ancient God’s ability to think seemed far inferior to other Ancient Gods. Otherwise, it would not have been manipulated by the Purgatory Overlord and ended up in such a pitiful state.

Among High Tier Ancient Gods, its ranking was likely at the bottom.

If it were more intelligent, its position might rise.

Regardless, its Ancient God Power was genuinely formidable. Not any weaker than the Abyssal Ancient God.

Acquiring such a powerful Divine Seat was undoubtedly beneficial for Lu Fan.

Facing such an enemy during the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy would certainly be a massive headache.

Now, however, it would be other Ancient Gods who would have to confront this troublesome opponent.

Lu Fan smiled faintly and raised his hand, releasing Ye Wuxian from his Abyssal Space.

The moment she emerged, Ye Wuxian immediately asked. “How is it, Junior Brother? Have you dealt with the enemy? Oh… it looks like the battle here was quite intense…”

Upon exiting, Ye Wuxian noticed that the environment had changed drastically from when she had entered the Abyssal Space. Battle scars were everywhere. The entire Dungeon Instance had nearly been destroyed.

It was truly difficult to imagine just how fierce the battle here had been.

But she was not particularly worried about Lu Fan.

After hiding in the Abyssal Space, she saw Lu Fan had entered it as well not long after, manipulating his Projection to battle the Purgatory Overlord.

So, Ye Wuxian knew that it was Lu Fan’s Projection fighting the Purgatory Overlord, not his real self. So, there was no need to worry about him.

Now, witnessing this scene after emerging, she was astonished. In what she knew, Lu Fan’s Projection surely could not be as powerful as his True Body.

Yet, with just a Projection, he had battled with the Purgatory Overlord, leaving behind such a terrifying battlefield. How could she not be shocked by Lu Fan’s capabilities?

Lu Fan appeared nonchalant though. “Yeah, it was quite intense. She was very strong. Unfortunately, everything she fought was merely Projections.”

“Still, rather than dwelling on the dead, Senior Sister, we need to assess our gains. This is the Calamity Ancient God. Right now, it no longer has any Ancient God Power left inside. It’s basically a lamb awaiting slaughter. Soon, I’ll help you extract its Divine Seat and help you claim it. Then from this moment forward, you’ll possess a Divine Seat.”

“Ah? So quickly? Just like that and I’ll have a Divine Seat!?” Ye Wuxian froze, clearly somewhat flustered.

Although Lu Fan had previously informed Ye Wuxian about the Ancient Gods and mentioned his intention to have her inherit a Divine Seat, to which she had agreed to; shouldering the responsibility of this world and becoming an Ancient God to assist him in future battles…

Having Lu Fan fulfill this promise so quickly and find her a Divine Seat left her momentarily struggling to accept the speed of events.

After all, suddenly becoming an Immortal existence would make anyone feel dizzy.

Lu Fan smiled. “Yeah, this journey went quite smoothly. Initially, I thought there might not be an Ancient God here. That we had made this trip for nothing. Who knew this place actually harboured an Ancient God.”

After a pause, Lu Fan continued with a smile, “Moreover, its Ancient God Powers match you perfectly. It controls a type of fire that supersedes all of existence, capable of incinerating all things in this world. Since you’re already a Battle Mage, you must have countless Skills in helping you manipulate fire. So, after acquiring this Divine Seat, you should be able to quickly master this Ancient God Power and unleash its maximum potential.”

“This Divine Seat truly can’t suit anyone better than you. Speaking of which, Senior Sister, you’re not getting cold feet now and backing out of accepting the Divine Seat, are you?”

Hearing this, Ye Wuxian immediately looked at Lu Fan and mustered her courage. “Who said I’m scared? I… I’ll fight alongside you, and in the future, become your most solid shield! Come, just give me that Divine Seat!”

Seeing Ye Wuxian like this, Lu Fan could not help but laugh. He nodded, then thrust his spear toward the Calamity Ancient God.

The Calamity Ancient God’s condition had already plummeted to rock bottom, naturally unable to withstand Lu Fan’s simple strike.

Under this spear thrust, the Calamity Ancient God’s body immediately disintegrated.

Simultaneously, Lu Fan used spiritual threads to forcibly retain the Calamity Ancient God’s Divine Seat, transforming it into a mass of pure Ancient God Essence in his palm.

Subsequently, Lu Fan smiled at Ye Wuxian. “Senior Sister, are you ready? I’ll now transfer the Divine Seat to you!”

Ye Wuxian remained tense but still nodded, closing her eyes.

Lu Fan extended his hand, pressing the Ancient God Essence against Ye Wuxian’s forehead.
